Ed was Sup Forums humor before Sup Forums humor aka the redpilled ed

redpill me on the redpill ed

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STAIRS

MY MOM TOOK THE BECAUSE I AM GROUNDED

You're scaring me more than usual, Ed.

CANADIANS ARE WEIRD!

YOU HAVE BROKEN THE CELERY STALK ON THE BACK OF A SEA URCHIN

Big butt, so what?

E X T R A T H I C C

>What did he mean by this?

Are moms girls?

only the claw knows

Ed behaves sometimes as if he had a savant syndrome.

>A decade since the show ended
>Still no full-series DVD release

You'd think the last fully cell animated cartoon would have had alittle more respect than that

You forgot about Robot Jones

Oh yeah, whatever happened to that guy?

Ever since they installed his new voice chip module, he was never the same.

I love how even Double D wasn't sure of the answer.

>edpilled

They finally got around to finishing Courage so maybe there's hope?
The iTunes rips are the way to go for now though

That's good tv right there

apparently it was but somewhere overseas. thailand i think?

>Ed's parents lock him in the basement
>even though their house seems big enough to have three bedrooms upstairs
>younger sister constantly picks on him for no reason
>seemingly comes from a troubled home given how he talks about his dad

I feel bad for Ed.

He was a genius and philosopher for the ages.

>Ed invented internet memes

youtube.com/watch?v=fC151S7DBsY

Unrelated, but I didn't know that Marie/Kevin, May/Nazz, and Lee/Sarah shared voice actors.

The 20th anniversary is coming up in two years, maybe we'll get something then.

>20th anniversary
holy shit i feel so old. i still remember when they were advertising the show's premiere

It's implied heavily like at the end of ht episode where they tried to scam Nazz and Sarah, he had that slight moment of insight that even double D seemed shocked by.

>I AM ED
>CHEESE OF MACARONI
best line from the movie

Neato

>seemingly comes from a troubled home given how he talks about his dad
I mean based on what Ed says, his dad does nothing but sit on the couch and watch TV.

What was the Eds' best scam?

Which scam would you "fall for" if only to marvel at the engineering?

I always thought Ed's dad was severely henpecked by his mom.

>That sounded like a cry for help
>Dad's home!

Some interpret that as abuse, but I'm pretty sure Ed's dad is the one who would be letting out the cries for help coming home to that every day.

I don't know about that, but this man sawed a hole in reality.

Reminder

Is Ed the most lovable retard character out there? Most of the time they annoy the shit out of me, but Ed is just so likable.

I think the abuse comes from his mom, since Ed literally fears her as Sarah threatens to call her whenever Ed does anything. Plus, that episode where he saw Johnny as his mom which scared him for the entire episode.

Ed is more kindhearted and never retaliates against Sarah because he loves her even though she's an abusive cunt. I'm pretty sure his dad is the same with his mom.

I found that out when researching for a same va thread

Kathleen Barr was also the va for the great and powerful trixie

"Because then Sarah will tell Mom, and Mom will tell Dad, and Dad will just sit there and watch TV, Eddy!"

"I say the cheese is always twice the fence post!"

>20th anniversary
there's no fucking way this show is almost 20 years old

>spongebob too

Love that line.
youtube.com/watch?v=aWR1AW404No

but that episode was all a dream as well

Shit I forgot about that, yeah.

I love that Eddy's VA looks like a grown-up version of Eddy

ht episode?

That entire episode was on drugs and it was one of the best in series.

What was the best season and why was it objectively season 4?

Name their selective boards.

>tfw no yandere chicken ghost gf

Eddy - /biz/
Edd - /sci/
Ed - Sup Forums

So were the Eds the only boys in the cul-de-sac who weren't virgins?

youtube.com/watch?v=QIIJfTruFmY

>sci
>diy
>x

Ed definitely frequents /x/

>the episode where Eddy woke up as an old man originally had a scene of the Kankers
>confirms they got married to the Eds
>confirms that they fucked publicly in the junkyard

The Kankers are thirsty AF.

Why didn't he climb the pole and open the door?

Have any of you seen this?

Why was it so hard for them to scrounge 75c together?

The city made of cardboard boxes, that shit was beyond dope. Or the riverboat. Jesus, the Ed's were badass how were they unpopular? They would practically build amusement parks in an afternoon for shits and giggles.

What, and ruin the plot?

NOW EAT YOUR MATTRESS

Remember the episode they built an amusement park/jungle and left it to look for whatever Ed left behind.

This freaked Kevin out who left everyone who had gotten trapped in their creations because he thought the Eds were going to get him.

I'm still trying to figure out where they gained all that cardboard from.

The monkey-themed amusement park I can understand, they likely pilfered the materials from the construction site nearby.

But the cardboard? I guess they know a guy and pay him in IOUs or something.

>The city made of cardboard boxes, that shit was beyond dope.
I loved that shit too, I'm surprised I never took an interest in engineering after elementary school.

The junkyard, maybe?

>Ed Edd n Eddy is not broadcast in Canada, it's home.
WTF?

I always wanted to do this shit

Between this and KND i feel the same

That seems the most plausible for a source of cardboard, but looking at what images are of it online shows a distinct lack of which.

But then again, this is bringing logic to a cartoon where the laws of physics apply when they want to(IE: Thingamajig) so it's a losing battle.

On the same thought though, do you think the Eds' scams is what kept delaying the construction crew from ever finishing those houses?

Probably.

Why don't shows have god-tier sound design anymore?

Is Ed Edd n' Eddy the only CN show that remained good in its later seasons?

>DVD

Swim a lot!

Samurai Jack immediately comes to mind, and I'm talking the original run. Outside of those two though, I can't think of any.

This sound effect will never get old.

Eddy and Ed were too annoying to be popular.

Double D was actually popular whenever the other eds weren't around.

Courage and Megas (2 seasons though)
Kids Next Door

I remember KND and Courage being good in their later years but it's been ages since I've gone through them.

The other kids didn't seem to inherently dislike Ed on his own either (well, outside of Sarah), if anything they just found him strange. It's only when you throw Eddy into the equation that they start to really get wary.

I think the kids liked Eddy to some degree. They wouldn't stick around for his scams otherwise.

Oh wow, can't believe I forgot those. Good point.

Matt Hill also voiced Kira Yamato and asked to be punched/kick in the balls to get the cry right. This is what Japan got
youtube.com/watch?v=tWjfbUfcJUM

I have no idea what this sound trying to convey, but it's still funny for some reason.

Why has this show aged so fucking good?

Sublouwa
Some sort of battle cry right before a sumo attack
EEnE has a lot of sumo related stuff in it

>There's big cash in showbiz, double dee. Unless you're on cable

The first ben 10 series? In fact I remember liking later episode more than the early ones

They intentionally made the setting and aesthetic feel "timeless" so that people from any year could watch it and relate to some degree. It's clearly post-war but there's nothing about it that's especially modern outside of that.
Also they put a shitload of effort into pretty much every aspect of it and it shows.

>tfw the movie was a perfect ending for the series
I wasn't too big into the later seasons at the school (I kind of felt it didn't fit the same magic of the cul de sac), but man there was no better way to wrap it up.

youtube.com/watch?v=W2zAg39AXcs

Well other than Rolf's TV which is a huge cabinet with a tiny ass screen.

Aside from its genuine quality and unique style, it offers to its original audience both nostalgia for the show itself, and the time it represents (being a kid in the suburbs on summer break in the 90's)

Beautiful.

What was Plank's endgame?

*riiiiiiiing*
