If only 2 (two) out of 9 (nine) Star Wars movies were any good, why do people like them?

If only 2 (two) out of 9 (nine) Star Wars movies were any good, why do people like them?

Only 2 (two) out of 9 (nine) members of the Fellowship of the Ring are any good, why do people still like the movie?

Because it's a good movie which consists of more than just the characters. Bad comparison.

They are good movies which consist of more than your opinion on them.

the expanded universe was neat before the mouse genocided it

Return of the Jedi was mostly good. Just ignore the Ewoks and the rest is amazing.

its actually 3 out of 10.

3 actually; ANH, ESB, and TLJ.

Because those two are regarded as among the best films ever made. We've seen how high Star Wars can go, and like a junkie we're desperately hoping that our next fix will take us there again, but it never does and the cycle repeats.

Wrong

Jedi was only "bad" in comparison to the first two. On its own, it's a good movie. Next to the prequels and the new trilogy, it's fucking Citizen Kane with laser swords.

If you have to literally pretend a part of the movie doesn't exist in order for it to be amazing, it's just not amazing.

Star wars is a recognizable name and others probably like it so i like it :)

But Rogue One was good

>and TLJ.

Right

Its good escapism. Sometimes its fun and cozy to just sit down and watch a few SW movies. The special effects are always top notch, too. Shame about the plot though.

It's like how The Simpsons merchandise still sells even though the show hasn't been good in forever.
It's Star Wars, nerds are supposed to like Star Wars, so nerds will like Star Wars no matter what.

Yeah

Because 2 of them were good, that's enough. It's 2 more than 0.

Ewoks hating is autism
