Bolin, this has to stop!

>Bolin, this has to stop!
What 'has to stop', Korra? Progress? The Earth Republic getting it's rightful share? Don't delude yourself, this isn't about balance. No, the reason you're here is to protect the interests of the URN government. How does feel to play the puppet?
>You're inciting war! Kyoshi Island-
Every single death at Kyoshi Island was in defense of their way of life! They wished to stay independent, they only came to us when the United Forces tried to stong arm them. And now The URN is using that incident to start a war they need you to win. All for the ore and oil they've had their eye on since The Earth Kingdom broke up.
>The threats you made can't be ignored, not when there's evidence of The Earth Republic harboring Spirit based weaponry-
Evidence! And here I thought I was the one with bad jokes. Some official telling you what you need to hear isn't evidence. No, the only deterrent my people need is right in front of you. The years spent destroying myself just to rebuild to what they needed me to be was all for this! I don't want to fight you Korra, but I certainly can.
>Please, don't make me do this! I don't want to hurt you!
Little late for that sentiment, isn't it? Korra, there was I time in my life where I would done anything for you, I would've given my right arm- No, wait... It was actually my left, wasn't it? Heh.
>Bolin...
Sorry, the mind wonders. I can't roll over, not now, not even for you. There's too many people trust me with their lives. Their lives, Korra! That's what this is about. Not territory, ore or oil. There is nothing you can do to hurt me that I already haven't done to myself, but you your actions can hurt them. I cannot allow that to happen.
>Please...
I'm done talking, do what you feel is right. And I'll do the same...

I dig it.

Your typical Bolinfags. Cringey self insert fanfic writers.

Ah, you again.

I want see a pissed of Bolin.

that season was horseshit

You mean the vocal majority? Then yes.

>vocal majority
That's a funny way of saying 1-2 people that pop into any even remotely positive thread involving Bolin.

They should have just made him and fuck one of Suyin's twins.
Becoming gay made Asami seem less awful.

I just want more lavabending.

She just wants to Make the Earth Kingdom Great Again.

MEKGA!

Is this what has actually been said or is this just OP sperging what he thinks should happen

I'm hoping for a sequel series where guns have been developed.
Korra got killed (in old age) by a bullet between the eyes and the new Avatar is a sheltered figure who gets dragged out every so often to give a speech about peace.
The time of the Avatar and bending is over. The time of the firearm is now.

So, fuck everything interesting about the show?

Bulletbending when?

The most interesting part of Korra was the advancing of technology.
If you want generic ninja crap go watch Naruto.

>ninja crap
Why are you even watch Avatar in the first place?

Edge

>He doesn't know about the technology in Boruto

That's stupid.

I'd rather see a series about two non-benders: One is an "Avatar" who was born a non-bender but still attempts to learn the art of bending regardless, and the other is a person like Aang who is supposedly fated to become an Avatar but learns the hard way that he's not actually the Avatar.

I dunno, something to mess up the formula a bit.

Nope in a world where guns become a thing, the avatar will be asspulled superhuman physical capacities to compete meaning bullets wont do shit to them. Its bad writing to not make your MC overpowered.

>the next Avatar would only have Korra as his/her guide since she basically destroyed her bond to any other previous Avatar

welp

...

>No spin off where Bolin runs for president

Fuck.

>I would've given my right arm- no, wait... it was actually my left, wasn't it?

Wait what? what is that referencing? I don't remember that at all.

He jerked off that male Water Tribe twin with his left hand.

>Next avatar would be an earthbender.
>He's only comes out to face the world once he's so skilled at metal bending he can snatch bullets out of the air.
>Matrix style fight scenes

I can fucking dig it.

One of the people behind the idea wanted Punished Bolin that lost a forearm somehow.

Wouldn't he be running for URN Presidency? I'm not American, but I thought you had to be a citizen, and since he was born in Republic City can't he only run for that?

I'm just curious because I'd like to maybe write something about this and make it a fully fledged idea. Wherever I look everybody wants it to be about the Earth Republic, but logistically it doesn't seem to make much sense.

Since we have the beginnings of the Industrial revolution, the setting of the next Avatar will be either the Interwar period or straight to Cold War.

Spy Fiction Avatar. Yeah baby!

Alternatively, Bending used for creative problem solving and not just to brute-force problems. Guns become the main weapons but bending is used in ways to supplement movement, solve puzzles, get around obstacles, provide protection against gunfire etc.

>Earth Avatar is unable to bend Metal, only Lava
>Decides that Each time he comes out he'll make it seem like the end of the world with volcanoes worth of lava

New Earth Republic could make whatever rules they wanted. I think it just works better if has to fight for a new nation. But I didn't originally come up with the idea, though the Earth Republic was always a part of it.
And please do.

>saying positive things
Fine
>LE LETS MAKE HIM A HAREM OH LETS MAKE HIM EVIL TOO LEMME GET MY FANFIC OUT
Cringe

AND AFTER THIS, SPONGEBOB, ON NICKELODEON!!!!

are we making the sequel to LOK a cartoon or an indie game?

I like this. Is there more?

...

>Avatar as the bad guy

As long as Bryke isn't writing it, it could be great.

I feel like Korra could have been salvaged if she'd turned villain. Like, she learns all the wrong lessons from Zaheer and decides that only the Avatar's firm hand can bring order to a world rapidly growing chaotic.

Please do and post it.

Curious that you say that, as the Dalai Lama is picked by some other "chosen one" that his job is to pick the new Dalai Lama. But he's now being brainwashed by the chinese to pick a new Lama more Pro-China

So in less than 20 years we have a Commie Dalai Lama and a not recognized/on the run but true Lama. Now takinhg that to Avatar would be neat

We need a drawfag on this.

They retconned how the avatar works with how Wan became the first avatar, so it's actually possible that someone could create a second one outside of Wans original line.

Could be neat to see, two Avatars both fighting to prove they're the real one.

So kinda like a Dark Avatar?

Kind of. I meant more of in the sense 4 element battle showdown, not spirit mecha battle.

This is basically evil Asami pasta repurposed for Bolin

>evil

Could a serious Bolin actually be a threat to Avatar State Korra?

Lava bending is pretty over powered, and they nerfed Korras avatar state.

3>4>>>

I'd imagine so.

She got her ass kicked by everybody. Bolin just needs to oppose her, and he gets at least one guaranteed win. Maybe 2.

I was debating whether to make it more of a political drama than action, but I feel as though I would face difficulties in correctly appropriating Bolin's character. In all forms, he's a good-natured guy who's constantly optimistic and kind-hearted, and I want to make that translate well but it seems like everybody else wants him to spiral down into a pit of despair.

Korra is shit and you're all faggots for liking it

Is Aang still around in the Spirit Realm? Don't dead people go there?

I comes from the fact he never really acted serious. A funny-all-the-time-guy leads to people wanting to see him serious, pissed, depressed and/or all around broken. It being a big change to his character is kinda the point. You could have him keep his sense of humor but have it darken as he changes.

>But he's now being brainwashed by the chinese to pick a new Lama more Pro-China
No he isn't, the chinese Panchen Lama is recognized by no one as the official one, as the one actually selected by the Dalai Lama was kidnapped and never heard from again.

I...could actually get behind this. Developments in weapons and technology have made bending more of an amusing past time. Why spend years learning to bend when you can learn to shoot in months? Is the Avatar really needed in a world that now views bending and it's practitioners as quaint or stuck in the past? Will people abandon traditions with technology?

Be very interesting with even the Avatar questioning the need for mastering all bending when humanity as a whole is moving away from it and making the Avatar's quest harder with few people able to teach them. Also some political situations where the Avatar is little more then a puppet figure. As long as they don't ham fist a message about 'technology bad' or 'tradition stupid' would be kinda interesting.

Bending is too useful outside of fighting to really get to that point. Fire and Air provide too many opportunities for power generation. Water provides instant wound healing that modern medicine can't match. Earth allows for the movement of vast quantities of soil and rock quickly and cheaply.
It'd be something more like bringing a kitchen knife to a gun fight. Sure the knife is useless in the fight, but it still performs an essential function within society.

>People would change to a point where bending wasn't needed

have you seen how strong bending is? What it can do?

You and the guy wanting guns to be 'the end of bending' should stick to gargling cum.

The hero we need.

Yes but the whole point is that bending isn't needed to win wars or to strongarm influence over people any more.

Heh

Well, it certainly is doable. The transition from plucky hero to despair-ridden, stressed-out President is what I found interesting. It's the descent that I'm more concerned with, and making it believable. How would you (and any other anons out there) recommend I go about doing it? The way I see it is that Bolin would run the cleanest campaign, but as it goes on his adversaries start chipping away at him and driving him deeper and darker than he ever thought possible. I figured Act 1 would culminate with his success and only to come to terms with how difficult running an entire nation could be-- hell, even have Bolin analogue with Kuvira about how she managed to hold it all together. I'm a big fan of juxtaposition.

Sounds good.
Everything everybody has posted implies he would still be an active part of the military so maybe some horror from that. He could lose Opal to the job. Goes for the krew as well, especially Mako and Korra.

...

Make borra endgame ,

FIRE NATION FOR THE FIRE BENDERS
WATER TRIBES FOR THE WATER BENDERS
EARTH KINGDOM FOR EVERYONE

is that like a kekkei genkai from having a dirt mover dad and a fire bender mom?

This, i would like to see how that would turn out.

Probably just a really hard to learn style of earthbending.

Yes. Lava is an instant kill

You both should feel bad.

Less so this and more so just a non-bender or a bender of one art going out to try and master all four arts.

But with the spookiness of the Dalai Lama situation, I could actually see this being applied to an Avatar story, where one child is fated to become the Avatar at a young age, but money/politics/etc. causes his masters to announce a different child as the Avatar, which then comes with the caveat of that child not actually being a bender at all. The true Avatar either gets locked away or is watched over all his life until the previously mentioned non-bender seeking to become an Avatar visits town.

Hilarity ensues.

>Korra got killed (in old age)
>in old age
you're already starting this wrong.

ALL HAIL SHADOW !!!

Agreed. Tragic, pubescent power and revenge fantasies.

Fucking monologue writers need shooting in the fucking head.

for some fucking reason, this reminds me fallout and lotr. i dont know why

I want to CUM inside Eska!

>merkel ruler of the Union of Earth

...

>A high profile Kuvira's agent
>Not being enjailed or executed

That's actually bretty gud. Question is how he figures it out before the monks.

If I recall correctly it was cause of
>MUH METAL GEAR
but also because of a fuckin' awesome lava rock arm prosthetic.

>lava punches
FUCKING
AWESOME

>MUH METAL GEAR
You say that like it's a bad thing.

...

>He jerked off that male Water Tribe twin with his left hand.

Hot.

After the failure Korra was you guys are never getting another Avatar series again lol

We could hope for a decent remake of Korra. Though i fear how it would turn out at this point.

I just want more gay porn of that one water tribe twin.

>Bolin x Desna never became popular

It hurts, so much wasted potential.

You mean Wanted? Cool comic with a nice movie and a fun videogame

This is actually exactly what I've always wanted to see, only more John Wu thank The Matrix.

But Sup Forums in general hates the idea. To be fair, I can see why.

>fun videogame
This, the bullet bending gimmick was way more fun than it should have been.

It isn't, I personally have a mighty need for a mixture of broken bolin and punished bolin.
Somewhere there's a picture of bolin post coitus with two other figures in his bed smoking a cigar that he lights off the heat of his prostetic's thumb that needs to be drawn.

I REALIZE

...

Post this shit to AO3 not here faggot.

You talking about the true Avatar and how he learns the truth while under lock and key? I figured that as the true Avatar he'd feel far more connection to the spirits than the false Avatar, simple as that. Or maybe he saves somebody from a freak accident in which he ends up using bending powers he didn't realize he had before, causing him to question his role in the world. Bonus points if the false Avatar is a witness to these events and he/she too begins to question the truth.
