Champions: Waid ignores King's run

Thanks, Waid

#Woke

Modern marvel= Loose continuity.

Same as archie or cartoons.

I thought it was for the subject of the conversation rather that it was with a boy.
Not like Waid champions are worth defending it tho.

It's Barely a year old!!!

They have teen jean forgetting how to use her powers to learn diff langs in her latest book.

They had eddie just revert back to serial killer. They don't care desu. Plus they have less editors.

good thing King is going to DC

Yeah this is how I interpreted it

What happened to Waid?

Waid's run isn't good, but I think you might be autistic, OP. People can experiment sexually as they develop.

She can realize she doesn't really have an attraction to boys and still hold that memory in King's run in deep regard. A similar thing happened to me with my first girlfriend in high school. I adored her, but I couldn't ignore my lust for obese women, and as soon as I made peace with my fetish, I moved on. I still think back to those times every now and again, though.

You'll go through similar stuff when you hit puberty, OP.

First Iceman, now Viv. Who's next? I bet Gambit.

story trumps continuity

user. You can't just drop the fact that you have an obese fetish here and not talk more about it.

I know who I am, Imperial, can you say the same?

Oh shit I didn't read this right. I mean, there isn't much more to say. I date women now who are chubby-to-fat and I overtly/covertly work to make them fatter over time. It's easy to do in a small rust-belt town. People just assume you get fatter with age out here.

Different strokes for different folks, you know?

I ws particularly interested because my girlfriend is fat, and the women that interest me on the streets and media are no longer "skinny" women, but getting more curvy.

I think the main problem is asian hulk. In the issue where they kiss he just grabs her and shoves his tongue down her throat. He isn't even present in the conversation about her wanting to kiss someone. Next in the page before, he comes up like a fucking meat head to Cyclops. "Hey bro, step off my girl!"

Well, there are resources online, friend. The most important thing is to be honest about it with your partner.

Sort of like how OP needs to honest about his feelings toward men and why this comic page is triggering him.

Waid ruins everything he touches.

The whole issue was shit. Who wants to read about Trademark laws in comics? (Unless it's the history of comics of course)

When did Waid become an irredemably terrible writer Sup Forums?

Yea but this isn't that. This is getting that check box for gay characters on the team.

Surprised he didn't try and make Sam gay.

after Daredevil #25

>No (the rain) doesn't bother me.
>It just goes through me.

That hit me.

Did Tykeclops do anything?

I don't get the King page. He talks about her being cool, then he insults her and she says it goes right through her. Which I took as meaning the insults as well as there rain. With this context only, I can't really concede that she Like-liked him. It seems like one of those embarrassing reliving moments to me. Do you have more than one page?

I mean I think the Waid thing is dumb too. One, Cho is an adult acting like a lovesick child trying to get with under-aged girls. Two, can we have some time to breathe with these characters before jumping into the twee romances that won't be remembered outside of this book.

well it's okay I'm ignoring Champions

>then he insults her
How?
>that she Like-liked him
did you read you read king's run it's clear in the run that she has a burgeoning romantic feelings for him

Lame

Well if Iceman can be turned gay after decades of canon woman-dickings the continuity is a joke. I just assume anyone turned gay was brainwashed by Jean Grey.

Waid is really bad with all of these characters, which he writes horribly OOC for no apparent reason. He writes Cho as a bully, a chad and a fucking moron, which is pretty far off the mark.

I hope Delphyne stays in limbo forever.

hi beigemanta

I read at it. I was mad about how he treated Victor so I didn't really take it in past the big plot points. If what you say is true you should be able to point more out? This was the same page used in the last Champions thread as proof.

>How?
He calls her a machine. If the conversation were real I'd say yeah he was just an innocent comment, but it's one of those things that kinda makes you realize how people really think about you even if they're trying to be nice.

>He's nice to me but he only sees me as a machine.

what the fuck i love fat bitches now

This would be valid if there was any actual exploration of Viv's sexuality. I skipped one or two issues, but from my understanding, Viv has kissed exactly one boy (and Chulk isn't exactly a typical dude) since the series started, and that's all we see. We don't see her trying to process how the kiss went, or trying to resolve distinctly human ideas of sexuality with her robo brain or her analyzing hundreds of playgirl pinups to reach a consensus. All her 'experimenting' happens off-screen so Waid can shove another stupid conflict into the forefront.

It's the same issue with Iceman or (according to other anons) Prodigy or Chavez or, to a lesser extent, Hydra Rogers or Unworthy Thor or the IvX conflict. Marvel keeps making significant changes to characters or the status quo without having events in the story lead up to them and complain when we say that it makes no sense. You have to show why things are changing. Give us Bobby slowly getting a crush on a guy, or Rogers slowly revealing his Nazi roots. Give us character progression instead of sudden changes. It may still be bullshit, but at least it'd be well-written bullshit.

He wanted to practice damage control with the adult heroes with Viv Shade using her holograms similar to a Danger Room, then got triggered when Viv said "D'oh!" as Vision. Then Cyclops exposited and Hulk then jumped in, wanting to bang Viv.

>you should be able to point more out?

i don't feel like looking through the entire run just to find one or two pages so feel free not to believe me but from what i remember he definitely had romantic feelings for her and she definitely had some kind of feelings for he thinking back on it now they might not have been romantic but it definitely seemed that way to me at the time

>He calls her a machine.
she is a machine that was not meant to be a insult he's clearly just making conversation if she was alien and he said your alien does the rain bother you with that be insult

I feel like the reason that we largely interpreted that as a romantic relationship is because King's Vision spent a good chunk of time on it (compared to Champions, where Viv barely gets screentime). It'd probably come off as not platonic even if it was two girls.

Asking an alien if they can't get wet doesn't connect the same dots as asking an android if they are bothered by rain because 'you know all machines can't get wet.'

Yeah they just kill the guy in the end. He spent as minimal time with the character to make the reader have some surface level feels when he dies.

Maybe I don't remember much of the book because it was so blandly tragic.

Well, your opinion on Vision is wrong. It's just wrong. But I respect your right to be wrong.

Also, to be fair, a lot of people die in Vision.

Does it make you mad when someone doesn't like your torture porn?

I know people die in it. That's most of the book. Character assassination and literal assassination of half the characters in the book. It was purely a vehicle to create this tragic robot waifu specifically for Marvel's "Let's recreate popular characters as minorities" book that is Champions.

Apparently Wait blocked me on Twitter for posting this up

Accurate

Don't worry he'll be godtier again soon once he starts working for DC again.

>character assassination
AKA King didn't slobber on my favorite character's knob well enough.

Only if Johns beats the "Superman should grow up in a city so he can be around black people and know how to be a good person because good people don't exist in rural areas" out of him. He already went the "Superman is a vegan because he has life vision" in Birthright.

Nah.

>It was purely a vehicle to create this tragic robot waifu specifically for Marvel's "Let's recreate popular characters as minorities" book that is Champions.
I sounds like you never read it and are just crying about it since Victor Mancha died

This is a great post

>women don't want the Asian kid

SO #WOKE

>Vision was created to set up Champions

The only reason Viv got on the team was because there wasn't another teen superheroine that Marvel could exploit and having only one girl on the team would have looked bad.

I'm not even mad that you don't like Vision. I just wish your bait didn't suck ass.

>Female Hawkeye
>Mania
>Hazmat
>Spider-Gwen
>Gwenpoole
>No-Girl
>Shark Girl
>Ernst
>Blade's daughter who never appeared
>Spider-Girl (Anya)
Vision wasn't created to set up Champions, but they sure as hell did have plenty female teens

>Has her own team
>Already have a Spider
>Has her own team
>They did her for an ish and she got bored and left
>Already have a Mutie
>Already have a Mutie
>Already have a Mutie
>As you pointed out, never appeared
>Already have a Spider

I don't get why ppl are upset Victor Mancha
He died before
He's from Runaways, that's what they do. They die
No other Runaway is even aware
Even though Avengers sent him in, they were still going to put him on trail.

The "Has their own team" argument falls apart because of Cyclops here. Additionally, being a mutant shouldn't really matter much because what was being question was female teen heroes. This would have been a good time to have Blade's kid show up but I'm happy she didn't. And I don't follow female Hawkeye, but what team does she and Hazmat already have?

Also
Nico
Singularity (or whatever she's called)
Molly
Troll

Does it matter. She'll be kicking around a bit till she stalls out since its slim pickings in the hero game for another woman wanting a living live doll.

Maybe she can hang with America she's not that picky.
