Babadook

Bore-ba-dork

The Ring

Mulholland Drive

Antichrist.

Rosemary's Baby was unsettling as fuck for me.

Lake Mungo

The Decent

VVitch

I love the Wes Anderson fake trailer on YouTube.

the first insidious. spooky creepy and no jump scares

Wait a minute, the Krampus isn't an enemy of Santa Claus, they're on the same side. Santa rewards the nice children and the Krampus punishes the naughty ones.

The wailing is on Netflix. I think it's my favorite horror movie this decade

Innocence is not scary but it’s the eeriest movie I can think of

You're either remembering the movie wrong or memeing. I love that movie but it's loaded with jumps.

This is one of the greatest horrors, maybe one of the greatest movies at all that I've ever seen. I'm obsessed with it.

It's a stupid normie misconception since that Krampus movie came out

Literally the most famous moment of this movie is a jump scare.

This has identical rotten tomatoes ratings as TLJ. Is it better than TLJ?

Krampus never implied that at all tho

this

Yeah I know. But it's what normies led themselves to believe. I just had this conversation with my younger cousins while watching A Christmas Horror Story earlier today.

What makes it so good?

Only thing in movies that has actually left me scared is the "We've met before haven't we scene in Lost Highway"

the atmosphere and sense of dread throughout the entire movie. the cinematography. the dialogue.

Mothman Prophecies or to a lesser degree, Signs

these are the only movies I know that dont use jump scare bullshit and actually establish a creepy/eerie atmospher that just gets under your skin and makes you feel uneasy rather than BOO! fun scary shit

This gets me every time jesus christ I'm a pussy

>rotten tomatoes
You have identical mannerisms to a faggot. Are you a faggot?

that ending when the picture in the camera is shown

>see eerie movie thread
>start thinking about things I find eerie
>its only ever ayyy lmao that really creep me out
>eyes start watering

There's an alien right behind you and he wants you to post feet.

There is one jump scare in Mothman but it's low key.

The fuck are you talking about

Troll Hunter. Though you might find it more comfy than eerie. Not a jump scare in the whole movie.

aside from vvitch this one also comes to mind
i actually really liked it

fuck this was
meant to reply to

That jumpscare made me and my friends lol so hard

I didnt find it scary at all. more like a light hearted adventure movie

Threads, not exactly a horror movie but my experience was
>lol everyone says this movie left them fucked up
>watch it
>well that was tame as shit, I'll never listen to idiots on the internet again
>proceed to think about it for the next 2 weeks
it's more of a existencial fear than anything. The kind of fear we haven't felt for hundreds of years.
this only has one good moment and the rest is garbage

The Village. Not really a horror film, more like a period piece romance with an eerie atmosphere

There's something about The Fourth Kind that really gets to me. I don't find aliens particularly creepy or anything like that, there's just something about the film that really gets me.

I think it's due to having suffered from extremely intense night terrors in the past (woken up running through my house screaming a couple of times.) The particular scene where during the therapy session one of the patients talks about how it's not an owl and then starts losing his shit, it really strongly reminds me of how those night terrors felt, this super-deep, super-intense feeling of fear. Eugh.

Pic unrelated, but fun.

pic related is pretty good

This.

It's spooky as shit, even though the production is so early 2000s it hurts. Amazing movie though.

'It follows' starts off strong but it doesn't end as strong. Still a solid 7-8/10

this movie sounds pretty good is it worth the watch?

okay yall convinced me

this movie is pretty great

The guy doesn't want jumpstart and you recommend babadok?

Are you a phayg?

there really isn't many jump scares though, it is not like super quite to earth shattering decibels with a sudden camera angle.
It is just so well done that it scares you shitless without giving you mini heart attack.
The scares creep on to you hard and subtle

we are still here (2015)

yes

Good suggestion, only seen it once but I'd like to see it again. Only Rob Zombie movie that I've liked as something more than goofy violence schlock.

nice, just dont look up or read anything about it. Watch it cold

trash

Scariest movie I've ever seen

>gages
I'd be spooked too

...

If you like post apocalyptic rape

I really didn't like it. It was okay but nothing spectacular.

also lets not forget this scene

youtu.be/oJ_t1eOAipo
early Lynch shorts are the pinnacle of eerie kino

unironically this movie

i bet Sup Forums hated the evil dead remake but i honestly fucking loved it

You can clearly see that it's halloween and some guy dressed as santa claus is getting fucked.

the original is a piece of shit anyway

now, I liked it.

The first half is genuinely scary, the second half is just bland. Never really bothered to see the sequels, seems like they didn't have the hype behind them that the first one did.

>i love you baby

Gabe was /ourguy/

i firmly believe that good horror movies don't exist any more. that being said, It Comes At Night was really good at creating an eerie and mysterious atmosphere. Not knock-your-socks-off scary but has a nice creepy feel.

this is fucking great

That scene in the shed towards the end scared me shitless

The first half of "Mimic"

When you reach the second half, right around the time all the kids get murdered by the monster, turn it off.. it turns to shit

Bullshit this movie isnt scary at all a little gay at times but barely a step above a cheap porno

The War Game?

Saw it in theaters. Loved it.

Malpertuis
Spoorloos
Le locataire
Nosferatu Phantom der Nacht
Starry Eyes
Ils (Them)
La chiesa

Man bites dog

Cold Fish

Japanese, zero jumps, could happen to anyone scenario. Keeps ticking in your head long time after seeing it.

+1 for Mothman Propecies

It's really eerie and otherworldly.

kino

90% great, not a fan of the ending but that's just personal taste
