Music sucked

It butchered the original soundtrack by trying to copy it but it did it very badly, repetitively and depressingly.

go back, sush!

fuck off shill

The soundtrack fit the movie very well. It did the job

I thought the music was the best thing about it and it was weakest when it was copying Vangelis' synths. But eh.

>MUH ORIGINAL
It's not a direct copy you mong

And you obviously didn't listen to it at the cinema with a dolby atmos system

Both soundtracks are fitting to the narratives of their own films. A moody melancholic 80s Vangelis soundtrack would not fit BR2049 just like the distorted, oppressive and slightly industrial Wallfisch and Zimmer soundtrack would not fit the first Blade Runner.

You are morons. First of all, the movie didn't even have music for a large part because they were so incompetent they didn't even have music for a large part of it.

For the parts that DID have musics almost 99% of it was a bad copy of the original. It was almost like an annoying screeching sound half of the time and the other half was a bad copy.

Did we hear the same audio track? It was totally distinct from Vangelis to the point of ostentatiousness, and only returned to the famous BR leitmotif at the very end

How was the most notable music a 99% copy?

How was it a copy of the original at all? Besides the few melodic motifs it's barely similar at all.
Literally not a single hint of the 80s anywhere at all

boring annoying shit

boring annoying shit

it was so bad they didn't even have any music for half of the movie to not piss the audience further, unlike the first movie which was a spectacle, almost like a video clip.

It sounded like hearing Vangelis trough neighbour's wall.

you are a moron; they tried to copy it badly and they were so shit they decided not even have any music for half of the movie, unlike the original.

The music was very atmospheric and made you "feel" it because of the vibrations from the atmos sound the music fit perfectly in the last scene

Worse; sometimes it was like a screeching version of the original.

It was like they tried to turn the film-noir-esque vibe of it into horror.

"Boring" is not a valid argument, it only says what your mood was while watching the film.
Same as saying "it was fun", that does not indicate anything about the actual quality of the film whatsoever.

And complaining that an almost 3 hour long film isn't constantly filled with the soundtrack blaring is the most retarded thing I read today.

>It was like they tried to turn the film-noir-esque vibe of it into horror.
Why is that bad? It fits the narrative of the sequel perfectly

I liked the soundtrack but the WHIRRRRs got annoying

It was pretty good considering they had like 2 months to do music for 2 hours and 45 minutes after they fired the original composer

It was the right sound for the movie.

curious what the original composer's soundtrack would have sounded like.

Even more VRMMMMMMMMMs, Johannsson entire catalog is just atmospheric one note brass tones

>requires every moment -- even when not necessary -- to be accompanied by music to fill some arbitrary quota
>evaluates the quality of the film and its score based on this
>pulls the "over half of the movie" stat out of their ass
>also makes the claim that the score is a "copy" of the original, which is clearly isn't; original is far jazzier and 2049 is anything but

OP is either a troll or an undiscerning idiot that shouldn't go anywhere near film

when the bait isn't even sushi grade.
