Are there generally any good gay or homo comic series out there? Or are there any series with really well done gay characters or any lgbt stuff at all?

That's pretty sad. I was hoping for something that wasn't manga, not that I don't like it, I just really can't remember ever seeing any decent lgbt stuff in comics and I'm not a huge comic reader but I want to support my store more.
All I can remember is when that gay wedding happened in x-men and then iceman being gay.

Midnighter is pretty ok in most of his appearances but his boyfriend often gets the short end of the character development stick.
Anole, a X-Kid, has some good issues but IIRC he hasn't been in a lot of comics lately.
Avengers Academy had two gay characters who were alright but the comic itself wasn't really about that except for some issues.
Young Avengers has a tendency to handle it pretty badly, /especially/ in the second volume where gayness replaced most of the actual plot.
There's a Rawhide Kid reboot where he's very gay, but it's kind of played up as a joke and a bit too long to be a particularly funny joke.
