There have been bombs before in SW, even in the OT you see TIE bombers dropping bombs. That's not a problem, it's consistent with the setting, the problem is hyperspace ramming.

That's not a problem,
Han Solo says the ships "jump to hyperspace" so they accelerate in real space before being fast enough to enter the hyperspace tunnel

The ship was probably moving at 0.8c when cutting the Imperial ship

They were magnetical to be honest, you can see the clips and it's explained in the book
It's a bit off-putting but there are hundreds of things more wrong with the movie

I bet your mum enjoys a bit of hyperspace ramming

Why are they using such outdated weapons technology, just hyperspace ram it.

I'd be more okay if they said the accelerate inside the ship artificial gravity and then they continue falling for inertia

A bomber is too small to make a dent in it

So why aren't there hyperspace missiles? They would be an instant win.

Says you.

Oh, it's explained in the book!

Great movie then.

stop mansplaining, nuwars is not your franchise anymore sweety

its just b-52's in space, ww2 theme etc. etc. but you know this already

*explosions in vacuum*

Things explode in a vacuum
Only in perfect spheres of light though

*sounds in vacuum*
*Every lifeforms can live on any planet*

god i hope so

There is gravity in space. Everything with a mass has a gravitational pull, even though it's rather weak even in the case of huge spaceships.
Why they used bombers and not just put rocket engines on the bombs is a story for another day

Yes? There is atmosphere in the ships, so when the hull is breached, it explodes. Shame shit works for the mines.

>the problem is hyperspace ramming.

this why does this not work any other time, also why could it not be done with autopilot

Everyone who thinks that this is bad physics is a brainlet. Ships in Star Wars have artificial gravity on them, bombs fall within the ship as if they are under gravity then when they leave the ship and enter open-space they maintain their momentum downwards (with respect to the bomber).

>too small to make a dent in it

>1 ship destroys an entire fleet

Plus the force is female and will guide the bombs to the nazis

You have no idea about physics if you think that any object over 25 pounds won't destroy any other object if it impacts it with light speed.
