It gets even worse, the only reason why he joined Sheev, to the darkside of the force, was to be taught how to save his wife with some form of technique that only darkside users like Sheev and Plagueis were supposed to know, didnt exist and only a vague promise of Sheev that they would both find a way to do just that.

the prequels were such a journey, to follow the lives of these characters and see anakin turn to the dark side made such an impact on me, and the obvious shock as obi wan finds it out
not a single scene in the sequels made me feel something or had any emotional weigh. infact there was zero character progression to even make it so, its like theyre such mindless flicks they cant keep a consistent story going throughout each flick
its hilarious to see people rate the sequels higher than revenge, or attack and phantom for that matter
