I think it looks good, I feel like a lot of anons are striking it off as being doomed to failure based on a very short trailer, that makes me sad

I would have preferred a more scarred Hester but honestly it's not practical and it's not fair to some up-and-comer to make her basically unrecognisable in her first major movie, they say the worst thing you can do to an actor is cover their face.

i suppose but on rereading these books quickly over christmas they mention her ugly face (and then later how ugly she becomes inside) almost every page she's on. If they've scrapped that and paired it with this dodgy cgi and rubbish design choices then i'm worried.

I think she's plain enough that a competent makeup crew should be able to sell her as being convincingly ugly without covering her face in scar tissue
