>There will never be as comfy show as mad men
>You will never watch this show for the first time.
There will never be as comfy show as mad men
>>You will never watch this show for the first time.
I already did, twice
I'm watching for the third time and every time I watch it becomes more comfy
Same
Couldn't get past ep 1 so I'll never really watch it for the "first" time. Does your faggotry get negated?
tfw continuously cycling between mad men and the sopranos
And the saddest thing of them all
>there will never be good mad men thread again.
It's boring soap opera tier social commentary
because of these colossal fags
Greatest show of all time.
OF ALL TIME!
I've watched The Sopranos (twice) and The Wire.
Is this show any good?
How does it compare to Sopranos?
>we live in such a massively cucked and soyboy society that we have to watch make-believe pretend shows where men could act like men
finished a rewatch of the series recently, those last few episodes were just as bittersweet as the first time
Starts a tad slow. Lots of character development. If you stick with it, worth it in my opinion.
>it’s a chip-n-dip
Mad Men > Everything Else
But don't go by me. I hate The Wire.
A thing like that...
;_;
we bought two
it's practically four of something
>you now realize Betty is dead by now
I really can't stand this show. I know eventually I'll get really into it and change my ways but I really just can't stand how just...self satisfied the whole thing is.
I tried watching S1 and I was just like fuck man this whole thing is just Don Draper Is Super Cool, Alpha and Boss and Always Right About Everything and Constantly Has The Upper Hand In Every Way Forever. He has no real flaws and don't give me that OOOH CALLOUSED AND NIHILISTIC OOOOH shit
Probably cause my life is shit but I just don't want to watch some guy be cool for 40+ hours
>Don Draper Is Super Cool, Alpha and Boss and Always Right About Everything and Constantly Has The Upper Hand In Every Way Forever. He has no real flaws
Could you BE more wrong?
they reveal how empty that persona is relatively early into the first season though. how far did you get?
Like I said I couldn't finish S1 but seeing tons of clips over the years he just seems like some generic shallow stoic type character. I liked in the pilot, his whole "there is no tomorrow" thing, where he came off almost slightly manic and even pathetic but never saw anything like that again
>tried watching S1
>Don Draper is Super Cool, Alpha and Boss and Always Right About Everything and Constantly Has the Upper Hand in Every Way Forever
Look, I'll give you this: seven seasons is a lot to deal with, if you're not sure of the payoff. I wouldn't want to waste that much time on something, that's not a sure thing.
Mad Men is a sure thing.
>couldn't finish S1
Did you have an emergency to tend to? Why couldn't you finish it?
What? The whole point of the show is that Don is a totally fucked up human being. He's the man who from the outset has the world by his finger but is in truth a terribly flawed person who fills the void sex.
So all those female characters and their arcs just didn't exist then
This.
Peggy is a fuckin' boss and I'd let her bend me over with a strap-on any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
>implying Joan's ending wasn't a fucked up continuation of a cycle of bullshit
>implying Sallie's ending wasn't depressing as fuck
>Betty is doomed
But please keep memeing despite either not watching the show or just wanting to act like you did so you can shitpost. Men and women got shit upon pretty equally.
I miss the live threads
>tfw don was in his early 30s at the start of the show
>im entering my late 20s
Found the uptight suburbanite, who has never been pegged. Peggy pegged.
>no flaws
>the first episode reveals he's an alcoholic adulterer
wow senpai you dum as fuk
>don
Don died in Korea, friendo.
Are you also a whore-son, thief for hookers, abused by every parental figure and so broken you take a dead mans life?
Sally deserved better guys!
>when Anna's ghost visited Don in the office and he broke down in tears and you broke down in tears too because it was just so goddamned heartbreaking to see your hero completely destroyed and then Peggy saw him too omfg
no, but i also dont have january jones
But user, it's still December
>ayyy lmao
never watched it and never will
Virgin Dick
Chad Don
>talk about cultural freedom that allowed men freedom of expression
>gynocentric fuckhead tries to "muh feminism" post
Day of the roast
>what did they mean by this?
Get it, Sally. Get it, gurrrrrl...
...
>talking about how female characters are stupid, fucked in the head or dying is somehow female positive
Nigger refute me with facts
>allowed men freedom of expression
Like when Roger fell into the same pitfalls of relationships that he always did? Or when the men and women worked together? You make no sense.
Mad Men 1 through to mid season six is amazing. But after the Chevy merger, I don't know, it just seems to drift.
>stoic, shallow
>"never saw anything like that again"
>couldn't make it past season 1
Imagine being this fucking stupid.
I put it on almost every day just to stay grounded and shake-off the *current year* soy influence
...
