Especially the early scenes where he's trying to figure shit out, and he's kinda walking around in his space sweaters and space PJs just trying to slowly work through the problems. And as his slow but sure success continues.
It's uplifting and its unfolds in a way that makes you feel like you're going on the journey with him. It's tense enough such that you are wondering oh shit what else did he (or i) forget? But the tension is diffused because he heads off many of these problems early.

the plot being kickstarted by "scientists" making stupid decisions is the reason people hate the movie, who the fuck cares if is slow and the people who don't like it because is "difficult to understand" are fucking retards who should never watch movies, it is understandable as any other movie.
The only defendable thing about it is that it had some good ideas like the horror of knowing your creator hates you or how the xenomorph started as a terraforming experiment, Alien Covenant is Prometheus without good ideas.
