fair enough but whatever man, if you're an actor doing that all the time anyway then at what point does it stop being fake and start being your reality? I'm not denying that this shit could have some cynical aspects and hell maybe they even immediately switched to sober faces after the cameras fucked off, but I don't see how it matters much. can you accurately describe what was happening in their minds when they did this? could they even? so perhaps even if it's highly glossed promotional bullshit, I can't imagine they just went into this as joyless automatons. in fact the very idea of such cynicism can ironically be counterproductive to acting. you can't go into any creative endeavor thinking "I'm doing this as a completely emotionless simulacrum", you have to invest yourself in it in some ways to get a truly good product. on the extreme end of the spectrum method acting exists for this reason.
