I don't even have any problem with mixed marriages or ethnic minority lead characters as such, but it is clear that Brooker and people like him are both pandering to left-wing idiots, and acting out of sheer spite and ideology against people on the right, by shoehorning in as many women and ethnic minorities as they can in lead positions, and doing down white men. By the sixth episode I was almost laughing at how ridiculous it all was.

This is also by far the weakest season. Three re-hashed cookie episodes (already pushed to their logical conclusion in the eternal torture of "White Christmas"; you cannot devise any pain bigger than that, so why bother showing us lesser abuses that will die when the abuser's human lifespan expires, like those in U. S. S. Callister?); two in which the futuristic technology seemed tacked-on, and might have been done without (Arkangel, Crocodile); and one which was inconceivably dull (Metalhead).

I just watched episode 1 which had two black characters and an asian one be 2d sidekicks while a white guy sacrificed himself to a painful torture to save everyone on the ship and a white person ended up captain at the end.

so if anything the first episode was an example of white supremacy in media.

Still liked it though.

The hit and run is the guy's fault. Throwing the body away is the guy's idea (she was obviously manipulated into helping him as Brooker makes sure to show us). Also she becomes successful and he doesn't. Her husband can't fix an appliance and asks her to fix it. The guy with the broken arm likes the black girl she passes on the street. The Indian woman is very capable. The white dentist is a pervert. The white woman kills innocent people of color (you will never see the opposite).

It's all in the details. Just open your eyes.

And also, wasn't Andrea Risenborough's character originally supposed to be played by a man? That would explain why it doesn't fit her at all and why she can kill a man with her bare hands

I liked Hang The DJ, that got the elements of Black Mirror just right. Shut Up And Dance did too. Most of them are concept first, plot second, and that ruins them because no you don’t give a fuck about the characters.

The girl in episode 2 had no husband and was a terrible mother (of course).
Mia in episode 3 had a white competent and caring husband and a junkie as-boyfriend.

Interestingly I think that was kind of a condemnation of the "I'm a brave woman for having lots of sex!" attitude so prevalent in young women. I wish the male character had called her out on how silly it sounded just to really send the message home, though. I suppose this was done when he was complaining to the woman about how much he missed his "ex" while having sex with her, and then she did the same thing. I think that section of the episode did a good job of saying "Sure sex will feel good in the moment and you'll tell yourself to go have it, but if it's with someone you don't care about, it's ultimately pointless and leaves you feeling hollow shortly afterwards".
