Hasn't there been exactly this Elseworld?

He laser blasts the robber and proceeds to live a spoiled life. Jonathon Kent hangs himself because he married a barren hag.

Yeah Speeding Bullets.

What is the deal with all the casuals lately not even googling an idea before they think they came up with it?

readcomiconline.to/Comic/Superman-Speeding-Bullets

this never happened
>MARTHA? HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT NAME!?
>Bruce. Come on. Seriously?

Well, he might have been able to save the Waynes. If so, he grows up to be Superman, trained and funded by Bruce, who has no reason to be Batman and live out his sense of justice through his brother.

It would be cool if his pod got thrown off course for 40 years and he were raised by an older Bruce Wayne who had already been Batman. Then he takes up the mantle and has a futuristic black suit or something.

Here's what I figure would happen. This is sort of like an alternate telling of Speeding Bullets.

Clark/Kal-El (or Bruce as he'd probably be called by the Wayne couple) has a decent childhood. His parents raise him normally as they would their natural child. The couple are busy, however, so instead of having the natural son as intended, they are content with their adoptive son.

Clark stops the death of his parents outside the theatre, but the ability to move at this shocking level of speed, and the power to stop the bullets, shocks the Wayne couple.

The two of them, socially advanced and upperclass, fear the nature of their adoptive son. They persuade him to keep his powers under wraps. But as Clark/Bruce matures, he becomes increasingly irritable. His anger over his parents distaste towards his power, and the increasing amounts of crime rising in the neighbouring cities, drives him to a life of crimefighting in secret.

Fighting crime allows him to see the true extent of his powers. He goes public, but this incarnation of Superman isn't the all-American dream the people can identify with - this is a costume more similar to Batman. The world fears this monster. And no one fears him more than his own parents.

Lex Luthor promises to stop the menace that could wipe out humanity at any time, but Bruce's restrictive upbringing and pent up rage leads to an all out war between Luthor, and a terrifying, god-like man who once tried to help the society he now hates.

Neat.

As others have stated, this is the exact premise of Speeding Bullets.

So, better idea: what if baby Kal-El lands at Wayne Manor rather than getting found by the Kents, AND Bruce was also recently born?

>Martha and Thomas don't die, young Kal-El saves them by deflecting the bullets.
>Young Bruce rages with jealousy.
>Discovers the Batcave while stomping around the Wayne estate.
>Bruce is presumed dead.
>Bruce is found by Ras Al-Ghul months later, having been using the catacombs beneath Gotham as a staging ground for a League of Shadows invasion.
>Bruce believes that his parents abandoned him for Kal-El.
>Bruce leaves Gotham with Ras, and becomes Gotham's greatest villain, The Batman.
>The final test for Bruce is to murder his parents.
>He does so, and proceeds to burn Wayne Manor to the ground before ordering the League, who he commands, in to battle.
>With the aid of magic, Superman and Batman do battle in Gotham's center. Each taking mortal wounds.
>Comic ends with both apologizing to each other with their last breaths.
>Ras wins.
>More stories possible as heroes are inspired to action by Superman's sacrifice.

I like the idea of Bruce and Clark bring brothers and Bruce training him to be a crime fighter at night.

I bet this would be a nice conversation as well.
"Bruce do you really think this mask is necessary?"
"We can't have you going around at night using your powers without a mask. They would instantly recognize you as Clark Wayne as soon as they get a good look at you."
"What if I wore glasses?"
"Do you really think that would fool anyone?"

Even "better" idea: Kal-El lands on Themscyra.

They would kill him.

BUT he was found by Diana, who felt compassion for the infant and refused to allow her fellow amazons to kill him. As a result, she is banished from Paradise Island and finds herself alone with the infant Kal-El in man's world! Somehow or another, years later, they end up in Gotham, where Kal-El repeatedly cock-blocks the young socialite Bruce Wayne from hitting on his mom!

"Well hello Miss Diana, may I say, you look lovely tonight."
"I should have let your parents fucking die in that alleyway you goddamn pervert."
"Kal!"

> Parents still die because Clark is too young to watch Zorra and stays at home with Alfred
> The brothers grow up to be Batman and Nightwing.
> Batman is less combat focussed and more the great detective. He can hold his own in a fight but doesn't need to do it so much because he has Clark to be his muscle.
> Nightwing is trying to juggle keeping his adopted parents legacy alive while Bruce is quite self-destructive and intense, while also doing all he can to keep Gotham from falling apart.
> It's Nightwing who adopts Dick Grayson. Clark clashes frequently with his brother because Uncle Bruce wants to build Dick a supersuit to fight crime with, while Clark just wants him to live a normal life.
> Bruce ends up with Lois Lane, charmed by the reporters intelligence as she frequently keeps up with his intelligence. When she gets dragged into this life, Lois becomes Oracle, and it's through her investigations that she discovers more candidates for Bruce's proposed Bat Family idea (That he keeps under wraps from Clark knowing he would be opposed to Street Level Fighters being given Bat Suits).
> Because Batman is rarely the one fighting these days, Selina falls for Nightwing instead, wanting to find the bad boy inside the Boy Scout of Gotham. Eventually accepting that she won't follow his advice to get out of this life, Nightwing forms the Nightwatch with her, which grows to be this universes Justice League. Selina becomes that teams "Oracle" but will help when stealth is required.
> The Bat Family deal with the street level criminals and mafia groups. The Nightwatch deal with the super powered villains and aliens.

> Meanwhile, Metropolis flourishes under the leadership of Mayor Luthor, a perfectly sane man with a full head of hair who has never had a stressful day in his life.

Oh Child of Apollo!

>Zorra
Loooool

Would Joker hate Batman or Nightwing in this universe?

>waaah, he's not a hero becuase he kills the poor old criminals instead!
God Dammit I hate cape shit morals. Some times I wish some third world country would nuke us already.

More interesting if Hippolyta finds him and raises him as a girl

>I must send you to the city, to the world of the man dear child.
>I can no longer disguise you as a woman now that you begin to age
>You begin to grow facial hair. Your voice deepens. You fire beams from your eyes. I assume that's a man thing too?
Years later in Metropolis he still becomes a superhero, but still cross dresses for his outfit
>Faster than a speeding bullet! More powerful than a locomotive! Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound! Look, up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's... a man?

Possibly still Batman. If you assume Nightwing has a "smiling face in the night" gimmick, while Batman was the gloomy man in the shadows, making the Batman laugh would still be a greater challenge to the Joker than toppling a god.

I could see him being a lot more Riddler-like in that universe. Instead of doing the big city destroying plots that would have Nightwing just charge in and snatch him every time before the fun starts, he would try something more elaborate so as to try and lure the Bat out from his cave.

It is unlikely he would convert Harley to the dark side being a smaller time criminal, but her nature and her selfish intent for getting into her line of work would just see her manipulated by someone else and develop a completely new gimmick instead. I would perhaps put Scarecrow as the next one in line to get inside her head, making a completely different Harley when it's all done.

Additionally, I would also make Zsasz the mortal trying to kill a god. Let him get struck by a falling green rock from space, which creates a notable scar. He crafts a weapon out of the rock so as to get a fitting kill with it, but is surprised to find the mighty Nightwing fall to his knees when he comes to stop him. His stab doesn't kill Nightwing thanks to a Batman intervention, but just injuring the bulletproof man is more than enough to give Zsasz a brand new obsession: "Become The Slayer of Gods".

Casuals have never heard of Elseworlds

Hell I once tried talking about Red Son superman once and they were like but that didn't happen and that's just a stupid fan fic someone wrote

Aren't ALL of these books essentially fanfics now?

In a sense but the fact that the process is fully collaborative, you have editors to answer to, and fan reception (at least financially) matters makes it somewhat different creatively.

You can say that

But if its published in house then its canon

Plus they can always say multiverse

>Stop, invincible son. Let the mugger kill us.

His dick is too big for the skirt.

>completely different birth circumstances
>Luthor and Lois still major characters in his life.

Fucking why? Red Son pulled this shit too. What's the point of imagining him in a new environment if your just going to have him hanging out with the same people?

>Characters that are part of his stories since the 50's

Why indeer? You fucking moron.

Figuring out a way to include the normal shit is basically the entire appeal of Elseworlds

this. it's stupid enough that he made the same friends as clark kent and superman, thus making them targets, literally the reason you have a secret identity in the first place.
fuck you, it's the reason everyone hates them. the appeal is seeing things go completely differently. you're as bad as prequels that inexplicably have to work in everyone and everything from the previous thing, even if they had no reason to have met in the past

Bruce would be inspired by his brother to become a hero just like him, not filled with jealousy. His parents raised him better than that.

Read Speeding Bullets

how, exactly?

Is it good? What decade? What writer?

No it's not you autistic faggot. Back to the Future wouldn't have the same appeal if we didn't see a Biff in every timeline. Seeing what else Lois and Luther would be up to in this alternate world it was keeps it "Superman". If they changed the cast completely, it would literally be one name change away from being a completely new superhero, then what's the fucking point?

Baby Kal-El lands in Themyscara and is found by Hypollyta who raises him as to avoid being killed, What happens in this timeline?

*as a trap

Magic weapons.

see for yourself

...

What if Superman is found by an old man who was a martial artists whose names starts with G?

>implying he can't tuck

But she could easily just keep him in a tower and away from the others mostly. He would be the princess, they wouldn't question it.

Too big. Not enough tape.

Why would Bruce even be Batman if young Clark saved the Wayne parents?

>it lands ON TOP of the Waynes, killing them instantly
Bruce Wayne dedicates his life to aiding Lex Luthor and his schemes to kill Superman.

>Bruce and Clark are brothers
>Mr. Wayne convinces Clark never to use his powers in public
>Bruce and Clark watch as their parents get killed
>Bruce forever hates Clark for letting them die when he had the power to stop them
Worth a comic?

What is Superman's pod instead land in Asgard and he is raised by Loki along with his new siblings, Hel, Jormungandr, Fenrir, and Sleipnir?

>Clark and Bruce raised as brothers
>Clark never gets sick and is physically superior to Bruce who is racked by confidence issues and illness
>Despite this two brothers bond quickly
>Night of the theater happens
>Parents die, Clark, unaware of his powers is left with Bruce
>Thomas's last words are to Clark because Bruce is on shock, asks Clark to protect his brother
>Bruce blames himself and his fear of the theater for his parents death and resolves to conquer fear itself
>Clark begins to discover his powers and though suffering guilt he didnt save his parents resolves to protect the people of Gotham and give them hope, something his parents instilled in him
>as they get older Clark becomes the charismatic head of Wayne Corp, is a popular figure and loved by the people for his desire and actions to help Gotham and stop crime both as Clark Wayne and as Superman, keeping his hero identity a secret even from Bruce
>Bruce becomes more isolated and quiet, studying medicine and psychology and begins working at Arkham Asylum quickly rising to become the head of it
>Slowly the rate of criminally insane begin to rise in Gotham
>revealed that Bruce's guilt and self blame of his own fears have caused him to become obsessed with conquering fear and is this worlds version of the Scarecrow using the asylum patients as test subjects and becomes Batman, using fear gas to terrify Gothams criminals into submission believing fear is the most effective method of deterring crime, complete opposite of Supermans idea of inspiring hope and believing in the good of humanity.
>two eventually face off, both discovering the others identity
>Superman eventually wins but cant bring himself to hurt Bruce because of Thomas's last words of protecting his brother
>Bruce locked away in Arkham Asylum, ending with Bruce encountering his roommate who remarks Bruce's life seems like 'some sick joke' hinting Bruce may befriend the Joker in this timeline

becomes robin, batman always protecting him he never awakens till the day robin dies in the normal time line is supper robins awakening.

To be fair even in Speeding Bullets, the Waynes still die.

"I'm going to be honest with you Nighty.... I know I can't hurt you. No one can hurt you. You're faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, and able to leap on top of buildings with a single jump. A Man of Steel if you will. You're like a Superman!! Or at least you would be. But there is one thing holding you back. Or to be more precise, one Batman holding you back. You can literally sweep the streets clean from every criminal in just one day, but nope good old Nightwing has to wait for big old Bats to catch up and take all the glory. But why should he?! You're the one doing the hard work! It should be him that follows you around!! So tell me..... Why do you like being pushed to the sidelines?"

Some kind of reverse JJBA part 1.
Bruce somehow ends up the Dio. Clark is the JoJo.

Clark becomes the favored son, because of personality and powers, Bruce is the smart, manipulative one who is resentful that an adopted boy seems in line to steal his birthright. Bruce becomes a vampire to compete with Clark.

his step-brother gets jealous and becomes Lex Luthor

Yeah, only Speeding Bullets and Red Son were fun to read.

How come Bruce Wayne doesn't exist and this story doesn't involve the two of them growing up as brothers?

Most criminals tend to be just regular people down on their luck. Kill yourself.

Kill yourself JoJofag.

He ends up at the orphanage with Thomas Wayne Jr.

>Ras wins.

This is fucking retarded. All this comic does is replace the actual Bruce Wayne with Kal-El and it still acts as if he is human. Nothing he could have done? He has fucking super strength and can absorb bullets. He could have just fucking run in front of the guy and gave him a solve. Him roasting the guy's ass was pretty fucking neat though.
