Dune

>Dune
>Introduction to the mythos
>Establishing shot
>It's obviously Sahara
>Immersion ruined

What did Lynch think by this?

not enough cgi for you user

should I wait for dennis' version or watch this

Is this the end of Dunefags?

read books 1 and 4 then play the Westwood studio game

it was filmed in Mexico

I'd also recommend playing the board games first

Poor Muad'dib.

>criticizing Lynch
hAhAHHAAAAA you have been LYNCHED uou pea-brain idiot!! hAVEN'T you heard of SURREALISM???? google it, thank me later

wait for the movie then, got it

He spent all his time thinking about that sweet theme song

>Dune 2

Still one of the greatest games of all time

what makes dune so hard to adapt?

internal monologues

thank god yes

1, 2, and 4 are the good ones
3 is boring as shit
5 and 6 are interesting concepts but I didn't really care what happened

There's just so much going on. Nothing wrong with shaving off or condensing details but so far no one's done it 100% successfully.

>What did Lynch think by this?
god this was awful to read. kill yourself

so its better done as a mini series or full blown show?

I think a book would be good, maybe a series of them

Yeah sorry bruv. My native language kicked in and by the time I realized it I already posted it.

what country to they speak broken English as their native language?

the one with 56%

this. it is a written story for a reason.

but it also feels very dated today. even a perfect adaptation would be largely underwhelming. Dune is basically space Tolkein, and it has been ripped off and worked into the cliches of modern scifi/fantasy.
Lynch/Jodorowsky (in some alternate timeline John Boorman) are the types you need to make an interesting Dune adaptation and inject it with some alien creativity. I can't imagine Denis Villeneuve's will be anything but a slick boring retread of stuff we've seen a hundred times before
