STAR WARS Episode VIII has a glaring plot hole that no one seems to be picking up on. Finn is surprised, as is everyone, when the First Order tracks the Resistance fleet through hyperspace. No one on the bridge has any knowledge of hyperspace tracking or how it is possible.
Then later, Finn is trying to desert the Resistance ship and is caught by Rose. He explains to her that their fleet can be tracked through lightspeed and him and her have conversation about how the tracker must work. They deduce that the hyperspace tracker must have its own separate power breaker because all tracking devices have their own power breaker. Finn says he knows where the breakers are aboard the ship.
In this third and final scene somewhere Finn knows exactly where the hyperspace tracker is located, even though he didn't even know it existed a few scenes prior, AND he happens to also have full holographic schematics of the ship as well.

At least it subverted your expectations

didn't he work on that ship as a janitor

He also worked as a janitor in the Starkiller base and also knew the schematics...odd, one might say he's a walking plot device.

It's almost as if they just pull sci-fi out of their asses

>third and final scene
lolwut

He literally says he didn't even know a hyperspace tracker existed. How could he magically know where it was if he didn't even know it existed?

>star wars
>sci fi
lol

Finn is a dumb nigga

Technically you're right, it's fantasy with elements of science fiction

>In this third and final scene somewhere Finn
*In the third scene, somehow Finn

Did no one notice the file name?

It's fantasy set in space. There is nothing science fiction about it

Why does that thing look like a flux capacitor?

It's Star Wars you autist

The tech got teased in Rogue One; the Imperials had specs for the project on Scarif. I guess when Tarkin blew up the citadel tower headshotting Krennic it took 40 years for the First Order to make it work.

As to how Finn knew where the dedicated section of the ship was where the tracker would be, .

No he worked in the starkiller base, not in every fucking ship of the FO

see

These three scenes play out like so.

SCENE ONE: A kid finds out about something called a blender. He has no idea what it is or how it works.

SCENE 2: Kid and someone else deduce that a blender must be like any other household item and needs to plugged in.

SCENE THREE: Even though kid didn't even know what a blender was earlier, he now knows exactly where his mother's blender is and has blueprints of the house to show his friends the location.

It's a fucking plot hole.

This has been pointed out. Everything has been pointed out. But does anyone want to explain to me how the fuck Snoke can be unaware that the First Order have a hyperspace tracker?

Apparently he did both. People get moved around. Most likely his division served on Supremacy before being transferred to Starkiller Base, same with Phasma most likely. Floors gotta get mopped where the business happens.

Never said anything about him knowing about the tracker, just where in the ship something like that would have to be placed to have dedicated power not tied into the main power. Process of elimination.

>how the fuck Snoke can be unaware that the First Order have a hyperspace tracker?

he didn't ask :^)

exactly, be we expect a little more from our mindless dreck you cock sucking ass fucker.

>it can be illogical because its star wars
I fucking hate you people

>Never said anything about him knowing about the tracker, just where in the ship something like that would have to be placed to have dedicated power not tied into the main power. Process of elimination.

He literally knows exactly where it is at in the very next scene. Unless you are suggesting that Finn had some sort of "ah-ha" moment, because no such moment exists in the movie.
