Anyone here seen this? Mark Kermode named it his best movie of 2017 so I gave it a try.

>inb4 made by a women
>inb4 yurofilm film with subtitles

It's actually really, really good. Very gripping atmosphere but it all feels very different from American horror/suspense movies. Check it out.

i watched thelma and was unimpressed why should i give this a try

>genre film
>best movie of 2017

Watch the trailer and read some nonspoilery comments/reviews about it. If it doesn't sound like something you'd like then there's nothing I can do.

>caring about mark gaymodes opinion

>best film of the year is made for netflix-tier garbage
what a sad year for movies

...

I need a JuJu gf

france hasnt produced such a good waifu since Blue is the WArmest color

It's nice that she's a lezzer IRL, she will always be pure

Everyone in this movie except for the sister is a piece shit.

The only thing Justine did wrong was stopping at her sister's finger

The music in this scene went so well

Was this supposed to be a metaphor for something?

>2017

Did they use real animals for the movie? When cutting open the dog it looked so real. Didn't look like a puppet or CGI.

It was a dog's carcass they cut open btw.

It was actually a cat dressed up to look like a dog

Fuck parts of that movie were so fucking uncomfortable to watch.

It's a common veterinary procedure - cows do often get constipated and need to be manually excavated. Obviously it evokes the theme of flesh and digestion, but that's not a metaphor.

I hear Gordon Ramsey hates this film.

>genre film
What an utterly meaningless definition. Every film has a genre you fucking idiot.

>tfw you want to enjoy kino but this movie looks way too intense for you
is there lots of gore? I'm a pussy

Everyone's seen it already slowpoke.

I loved Raw and was very disappointed by Thelma.

It doesn't have a lot of gore and the gore it has isn't grotesque or cinematic like Hostel or shit like that but they way it's presented and fits into the movie makes it very uncomfortable imo. Watch it. It's not that rough.

couple shock moments. not a lot of gore

What about Louise?

it's spelled out by one character
u actually watch movies or just stare at the moving pictures drooling?
