Lets discuss Superman's effect on Dragon Ball universe. Not a power level thread.

-Gohan lives and trains him better than Roshi trained Goku.
-Possibilty of Bulma and Capsule Corp going the route of Lex Luthor.
-Would Zod come instead of the Saiyans?
-Cell with Kryptonian genes.
-What would motivate Supes and Bulma to go to Namek without a Saiyan Saga?

The Kents would die the first day of full moon. This get's the attention of the US Government and the JSA.

Gohan is still alive in Dragon Ball.

Goku was an asshole before the traumatic brain injury though

so cell won't have zenkai boost or cell has kryptonian DNA as well as saiyan?

>Goku is found by the Kents who raised Clark right
>Kal-el is raised by Goku's retard son

Not a fair trade.

Goku needs a ton of plot armor to make it to adult hood.

Nothing a tractor accident on the Kent farm can't solve.

This implies their pods are switched between universes, so saiyans/kryptonians are still in their respective places. Meaning Kal would still have to deal with everything Goku had to, but minus all the Oozaru transformations. Kakarotto on the other hand grows up very weak, possibly feral since he will kill the Kent family. Capes might come in and take care of him easily, get contained or something. He will never attain the level he gets in the other universe due to being just another alien/meta in a world that isn't ran by martial arts.

Really the Dragon Ball universe benefits in every way having Kal-el there.

>Goku's retard son
Wrong guy, you secondary.

>-Gohan lives and trains him better than Roshi trained Goku.
Gohan dropped Goku down a fucking ravine on accident if that were Clark his head would have split

They live out in the middle of nowhere. It's very possible they could survive the first transformation, then know to keep him locked inside on full moons. Any witnesses would be written off as crazies that say they saw bigfoot or a UFO. It would be impossible to connect it directly to a little kid.

Overall it would probably just play out the same way it did in Dragonball. They cut off his tail to make him look more normal and fit in at school and keep him inside on full moons.

The main difference is that Goku is still a full blood saiyan and although he's always been on the "good guy" side in Dragonball, it was largely just a coincidence. He just wanted to fight people. In DC he would more likely just be a villain or antihero like Lobo

Cell would have both, because presumably the Saiya-jin would have still sent Goku to the normal Earth so they would assume he is there.

Cell probably would never come about anyways, I don't think at 14 years old Clark would fly around and dismantle and world class army in one day. He would most likely still be sitting with Gohan trying to grow up normally.

>Supes traine in martial arts and ki during childhood
>Gets his kryptonian powers as well
>Gohan doesn't die either so a bunch more training happens
Kal El would be a fucking god

Assuming Kal-el can learn to use chi (maybe even powered by solar energy?), he'd pretty much be a smarter Goku.

Goku is kind of fucked in this continuity though. If he doesn't get the evil knocked out of him, he goes on a rampage and kills the Kents, then probably gets shut down by some superheroes. If he does and he manages to either avoid or shut down the Oozaru form, then he gets raised well by the Kents, but without the martial arts and chi training he'd never reach his full potential and it would be unlikely that he'd be able to go SSJ. He's still be strong as fuck though, especially if he got a few zenkai boosts, but there would be no way for him to get any of the many special trainings he got. So no martial arts, no chi, no flying, no teleporting, just raw strength, limited invulnerability, and below-average intelligence.

Goku's villains would be BTFO by Clark. Clark is as strong as or stronger than end-series Goku without having to train. Goku isn't on par with Clark until the end of DBZ

Goku was a runt by Saiyan standards. His strength came from martial arts training from early childhood. Not much of that on the farm.

Considering that Buu and some humans are still considered powerful enough to be relevent in DB Super, I think Superman is even stronger than Super Saiyan God Goku

>Events of Dragonball
>but with Superboy

Sign me the fuck up

Didn't a lot of the latter half of the Cell arc occur because Goku let things get out of hand because he wanted a good fight in the future?

Goku is nowhere near Clark in powerlevel.
The power of the saiyans pales in comparison to the power of Krypton.

Yep same with Vegeta. None of that would ever happen because Clark wouldn't have been in the position Goku was.

>Clark never fights piccolo daimao because he never gets released from the rice cooker
>junior is never born
>still sits at home with Gohan living as a mountain hermit ala living on the farm with the kents till adulthood
>literally stays with Gohan until Raditz comes around looking for Goku
>Raditz eventually comes to Clark due to scouter believing it could be Goku
>Clark confronts him after he attempts to kill them
>easily dispatches him because Clark at around 24 would have been more than strong enough due to the sun exposure over the years

Actually thinking about it A universe where Clark comes is rather boring. The whole journey to the west part is thrown out as is all the arcs. It's basically smallville except in the mountain.

Clark could have an epiphany and want to go off in to the city once Gohan gets too old/near death.

No namek, no artificial human arc, nothing. Just superman except with martial arts training.

Gohan only train Goku with his level of martial arts. Gohan was once a studen of Roshi but he was no where near his level, so Goku at least had the basis.

Goku needed a very particular series of enemies of escalating strength to get where he is.

Supes would start out strong enough to deal with any threat that came to Earth. He'd never have a reason to go off-world so no fighting Freeza. Androids and Cell probably wouldn't even happen. He might get screwed after Buu wakes up.

The only thing I could think of that would make it similar is Bulma would still drive by to collect the Dragon Ball, but knowing Gohan and Clark they would probably just give it to her and she'd be off. This would be the point though that Clark would start to get curious about city life though.

>Goku's retard son
Casual detected.

Boo couldn't happen either because Badabi needed a certain amount of energy released to get him awoken.

I'm pretty sure that Goku at the end of DBZ could give Clark a run for his money. Clark has the strength of a god, and at that point in the story Goku has pretty much god-like strength too.

>Clark goes off after Gohan dies and gets a job in the city or even seeking out the capsule corporation since Bulma was affiliated with them.
>winds up working there

Only way I see it play out.

Superman could take Buu

Superman is weak to ki. Read more comics.

>give Clark a run for his money

Superman has survived FAR more than Goku or any character in the Dragon Ball universe can dish out, there's absolutely nothing Goku could ever hope to do against Superman.
Superman is also orders of magnitude stronger and faster than Goku.

If Clark went full power on him, Goku would be obliterated faster than i can write this captcha.

Is ki even magic?

But we don't know if Goku would love fighting though since Gohan was the one who taught Goku how to fight. Nobody would teach Goku how to fight now. If he was raised like Superman was raised, maybe his values would be like Supermans and vice versa.

In thr dragonball univere, no. However "magic" is a very loose term. Superman is magic by our standards.

Stop reaching

Kal-El would plow through everyone until Beerus. Which he could fight to an honest stand still.

Goku would be a street leveler with out someone to train him in martial arts and use chi. Pa Kent would cut off his tail after the first monkey incident.

Nani? Lex literally said it's entirely possible that concentrated amounts of chi could kill superman.

Well, everyone presumes that if Clark got taken in by Gohan, he'd live his entire life as a Mountain Hermit, never really being exposed to the world, or if he was, he wouldn't have the same drive for adventure Goku had with his Saiyan genes, or his good ol' 'murican values the Kents had, but there is a very simple way that would open the path for Clark to go out training, and that is the fact that Baba is Gohan's sister.
One has to image at some point scrying into the future she'd figure out that not only are there a myriad of world-threatening events coming in the future (Including but not limited to Red Ribbon Army, Frieza's conquest of the universe, Buu's release and Borus' awakening) but that the person with the greatest potential on Earth is Clark, because even without any training, he'd probably show up in those visions to fight Frieza when he eventually begins decimating most of the planet to make way for a giant shopping mall of Frieza-Brand collectibles or something.

Goku would end up being trained by Wildcat and the JSA and then travel the universe becoming stronger and fighting other Saiyans

Kal would have a ridiculous strength right off the bat and train under Gohan and Roshi to manage and train his abilities, Zod and Brainiac would be his bitch within minutes. Cell would probably just end up being an evil superman

Remember all those Superman stories where he basically adopts the nationality of each country he landed in? He'd be a good little Jappo boy tending to his elderly Grandfather till he passes away.

Baba is Roshi's sister by the way.

what feats

Wait, didn't they establish that they were all family in that episode when Goku and crew finally succeed in Baba's trials and Goku gets to talk with Gohan?
Or am I mixing things?

Everyone forgets that even though the other events of Dragon Ball wouldn't happen, Bulma still no matter what would come by to their house looking for the dragon ball.

Sounds about right.

That was her fighters, Baba can go between the afterlife and bring people back for a day as well. Gohan requested to be one of the fighters so she brought him back for a day. Gohan knew before hand that Goku would be there so he put the mask on.

Baba already knew about Gohan anyways since Gohan was once Roshi's pupil, and being dead he probably got to know her even better.

Goku woke up and immediately attacked Gohan. The Kents would be dead because they wouldn't be able to defend themselves against a Saiyan.

There's a person in Dragon Ball who can turn people into carrots at will.
And this kind of magic power is not even close to uncommon in the Dragon Ball universe.
Even if you pretend like Kamehameha isn't a form of magic (Even though the Kamehameha could put out a massive Magic Fire), when you get to stuff like literal devils and demons running about, and space wizards reviving creatures who turn people into candy by the city like nobody's business, basically Clark would be up against so many different kinds of magic against whom his kryptonian stuff does nothing, that he's good as dead against most of the threats he needs to face when not training the same way Goku did , whether or not he can out bench-press Goku. (Which he won't be as efficient as since Chi isn't about raw power, but about discipline and a whole lot of other stuff as well)

Right, I thought revelation was that Gohan was part of their family, but yeah, I think I mixed it with how he used to be Roshi's student.

Didn't that get retconned in Dragon Ball Minus? Or maybe it was the Jaco manga.

>retconned
DB kinda sucks.

If I recall, Goku's power level was 2.
Some random smuck who went out to face Raditz was 5.
Like Goku would still be the most absurdly strong baby they ever saw in their life, but it would be like being attacked by an angry knee-height dog.

There are many ways Goku could unlock hidden power in the DC universe. There's the league of shadows and the amazons who could figure him out.

Also Goku is only retarded because he grew up as a feral kid. With the Kents or under any other guardian he could be as smart as Gohan or Vegeta.

The Kents are old. And powerlevels are bullshit.

>They cut off his tail to make him look more normal and fit in at school

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but doesn't a Saiyan lose the ability to go Ozaru if they loose their tails?

Power levels are retarded desu, when Goku met Bulma he was level 10 and was bulletproof and could smash cars.

That's actually a good point. Goku would be a fun character in the DC Universe because he wouldn't want to hurt innocent people but he would demand a fight from Superman.

No. Some things are just inherent in people.

No amount of education could fix Goku's brain damage. And it is literal brain damage.

>Goku's retarded son

I would assume that Clark would be taught martial arts by Gohan up to Gohan's possible death, this would mean that Gohan instills a passion for martial arts in the you Kryptonian. Eventually Bulma shows up looking for the Dragonballs and gets attacked by that one monster dude and Clark saves her, seeing that she needs someone to protect her on her journey and also hoping to test his ever growing powers against strong opponent and see the world he joins her. Of course this leads him to Master Roshi who teaches him more martial arts + the kamehameha wave as well as setting him against foes like the Red Ribbon army, Emperor Pilaff and maybe Piccolo.
Basically exactly how things play out with Goku but way easier because Clark just keeps naturally growing stronger and training so he would be stupid powerful in this universe/continuity

Goku, assuming he suffers the head trauma that makes him not kill everyone on site and also doesn't kill the Kents when he goes Ape the first time, grows up in the same way Clark would. He would still be stronger and faster than a human but that would mean he would just be a low level brick in the DC universe, or at least he would if not for meeting the Legion of Superheroes. The legion arrives and tells Goku the same shit they tell Clark that he is a great hero in the future but unlike Clark they also tell him he only gets that way by training his ass off prompting Goku to travel the world after graduating high school. His journey takes him to China where he trains alongside Richard Dragon under O-Sensei, eventually he heads to Namda Parbat to learn more about Ki.
Basically he ends up training to reach his Saiyan Saga level at least which is still blow up the planet levels of power

Question: Does Superman get Brainac and Darkseid and the rest due to his origins on Krypton, and does Goku and the DC universe get the Saiyans and Frieza and all the rest of that interstellar universe?

I suppose Superman wouldn't inherit ALL of it, so it just becomes a question of how you divide it up. Stuff like Darkseid is just an example, but Frieza is sort of required, isn't it?

>ki powers enhance natural abilities
>kryptonian powers enhanced by ki
Superman with ki control would be an absolute monster

>not knowing that power levels increase strength quadratically

No, only psuedo-quadratically.

Goku is actually surprisingly smart when it comes to martial arts though.

Could he? Buu is pretty much immortal since it can regenerate any kind of injury. Goku only beat him because the Spirit Bomb can literally destroy evil.

So yes, while Superman would be strong and fast enough to fight him, Buu can use magic to turn enemies into chocolates and stuff. Also, if Buu managed to absorb Superman, then the universe would be totally fucked. Could Beerus even beat a Buu that absorbed Superman?

>Thinking Goku cant beat someone who got whooped by batman, a human with no powers

Keep him locked in? He's a 300 foot ape that shoots laser beams and conquers planets

Yeah, Beerus is literally a god of destruction who bitchslapped the Z warriors who fought him on the cruise liner, including Goku's newest form. SuperBuu would be turned into Kyrptonian flavored dust once Beerus is done with him.

>Goku's retard son
You're probably baiting, but I'll bite.

Gohan, as in Goku's adoptive grandfather, not "Goku's retard son". The guy that "Goku's retard son" is named after. The man that originally found Goku.

You dumb fuck.

Buu candy magic has limits. Someone REALLY powerful can maintain his power even as candy.
On the other hand, supes is weak to magic so maybe he couldnt pull that one as consistently.

user, you dont know how retarded is power levels on Dragon Ball

Vegeta when he apeared, was a planet buster already, and he wasnt even the top elite from freeza's army.

Look, Superman is strong, i think he can handle SS2, even SS3 since it got stamina problems.

But now, against Blue and all the OP crap Super is having, sorry, Superman gets stomped.

But on U7, Superman would be the 4th strongest mortal alive.

>weak to magic
I thought it was just that he wasn't invulnerable to magic. Meaning that his resistance to magic would just be the same as most everyone else's. So unless there's something I'm getting wrong Supes' magic resistance should be on the same level as the rest of the z fighters, right? Especially if he had the same training Goku did?

>Supes' magic resistance should be on the same level as the rest of the z fighters, right?
Way lower.
>Especially if he had the same training Goku did?
IF he had the same training it would be stronger than the average Z fighter, probably on par with Gohan, Future Trunks, Vegeta and Goku.

Fair enough.

>user, you dont know how retarded is power levels on Dragon Ball
Power levels were only a plot device to show how strong the new enemies were, compared to the humans in Dragon Ball.
>Vegeta when he apeared, was a planet buster already, and he wasnt even the top elite from freeza's army.
No, he wasn't. That was Toei filler. It makes no sense considering Frieza needed way more ki to destroy planet Vegeta, it took 5 episodes minutes to destroy Namek and various seconds to destroy Earth.

It is also stated in the Goku vs Perfect Cell fight that a Kamehameha at full power from Goku or Cell would destroy the planet. At that point they were much stronger than Frieza and waaaaay stronger than Vegeta before arriving.

That scene made no sense at all.
>Look, Superman is strong, i think he can handle SS2, even SS3 since it got stamina problems.
>But now, against Blue and all the OP crap Super is having, sorry, Superman gets stomped.
No, he isn't.
>But on U7, Superman would be the 4th strongest mortal alive.
First. Only Beerus and Whis would be stronger than him.

I really doubt Superman didn't get good training.

he doesn't transform just because the moon is out, he has to look at it.

a love of fighting is in saiyan blood, Grandpa Gohan just taught him how to fight.

he'd probably be upper street level if he didn't end up being a villain because of his thirst for punching.

>who got whooped by batman, a human with no powers
Why do people think this is canon? Hell, Batman said himself Superman can kill him. The one everyone associates with, Dark Knight Returns, Batman doesn't win. He fakes a heart attack & escapes, even then Superman held back & they are close friends. Superman will always hold back on Bruce because of this.

U7 is now confirmed one of the weakest Universes. So it's up in the air now friend.

>Goku lets the Anti-Monitor get away because he was happy it was such a good fight
>dooms the multiverse

>Goku hits his head since he works on a farm as a kid. Shit, NOT being brain damaged from working hard on a huge Kansas farm would be weird. His first Oozaru would clearly be ended by metas who'd cut off the tail by accident or whatever.
>Kal-El clearly accidentally kills Gohan when he first develops laser eye beams on an especially hot day
>Goku has no chance at all of becoming a reporter, as cute as it'd be to see him try, so he'd likely still be farming until he got noticed for his FOIGHTIN' being meta level, so he probably got his super start doing tons of metahuman tournaments and circuits
>Kal-El brighter, less violent, and more emotionally in tune that Goku, likely gets along famously with Bulma (who in smarts and gadgets may as well be Batman if he just used a retarded Superman on speed dial for all his problems, with his other half having been grafted onto Piccolo)
>Goku gets into the league and his start by just getting some enemies from matches and doing good when fights break out around town, has a lot of techs he could swipe
>Kal-El doesn't need techs with most of the ones he has, but if this is going to be the least bit interesting it's cool if he grabs a set of his own after meeting Krillin (god knows he'd learn how to Kamehameha with his eyes combined with the lasers)
>Batman doomed to be his Best Buddy, and have constant clashes over Goku's lack of reluctance over killing
>Kal-El likely to save WAY more lives in the setting, but just as likely to end up more fucked up himself, because he'll let enemies live as much as Goku, but for the exact opposite reason
>Diana is going to fuck Goku so hard and so much this is not funny. This is going to be ugly. There will be blood. Both of theirs.

Man and that's just the start. Could spend days just casually poking ideas out for how it'd work different. No idea what would be a proper Super Saiyan change for Goku, other than a Dan Turpin event.

>No idea what would be a proper Super Saiyan change for Goku, other than a Dan Turpin event.
Yeah Darkseid or Doomsday wrecking his friends is the only thing I can think of that would fit

imagine Superman as he is now, but with martial arts knowledge and ki attacks to supplement his already overpowered power set. he'd steamroll the entire Red Ribbon army. Tao Pai Pai, Tambourine, Piccolo Dai Maoh and Ma Jr. are rekt. if Saiyans are completely replaced by Kryptonians though(and are also taken in by Freeza), Kal-El might not be launched to Earth because as soon as the Kryptonians realized how op they can get after exposure to yellow sunlight, they would destroy Freeza.

but if Goku and Superman are the only ones simply getting switched, Freeza, Vegeta and co. are dead. would Superman develop a heart disease which allows the Androids to takeover the future? I don't think so. Kal will destroy 17 and 18 at the present time. Trunks, if he's born, won't have to go to the past. Cell won't come alive until in the future where Superman is even more powerful having absorbed so much sun that he'd vaporize Cell instantly. Buu is also a non-threat since Superman will stop Babidi from bringing him back.

now with Super. Superman might have a problem with Beerus IF Beerus wakes up looking for the "Kryptonian God"? idk. but if Zeno doesn't forget, he eventually destroys all the useless universes so Superman and Beerus perish anyway.

as for Goku, he'll turn into an ape unless they cut his tail off. if they do, he'll grow up a normal dude. probably be a football star. if he goes ape, the JSA will fight him. idk what the government will do with him, but it's unlikely he becomes as powerful as DB/Z/Super Goku due to lack of training and natural way of gaining power.

Does this mean he gets to jump to God after warring with Darkseif long enough to meet the New Gods and eventually becoming worthy of [asspull here] to juice to that level?

Actually it'd be cool if Goku never got a million transformations. Maybe he can just be Base -> SSj -> God for proper escalation. Nice and simple. Let the techniques shine more.

>Saiyan body is only made for x33 gravity on planet vegeta, only gets stronger through extensive training or almost dying

>Kryptonian body is made for x33 Earth's gravity on planet Krypton, almost instantaneously gets near infinite strength/speed/energy from being under the yellow sun for a few minutes

So Clark would basically be Superman + Ironfist with the Ki and energy training he gets while goku would peak at being as strong as maybe Bane.

Also perfect Cell just got a LOT more powerful.

>>Supes' magic resistance should be on the same level as the rest of the z fighters, right?
>way lower
Common misconception, Superman isn't actually weak to magic, DC humans just have an innate resistance to it which aliens like him lack.

To put it into better context, Buu would have no issue turning Supes into candy same as anyone else in his universe, but a DC human might take longer for the effect to work assuming it still even carries through the same.

Yeah Perfect Cell in a Kal-El world would be a fucking end boss level nightmare

Cell wouldn't have Kryptonian DNA because you can't pierce Superman's skin.

Come to think of it, Superman would be pretty hard fucked by Buu. It'd actually play out pretty similar to the original arc.

would it fucking murder you to play along and be creative

he can steal his spit then, happy

Cell can steal the DNA from the Fortress

dude there would be no fortress he's in Z-land

unless Kami like, kind of allows that to be it for him

>Superman cuts his hair

Boom now I have Superman cells.

Also
>Saiyan body is only made for x10 gravity of vegeta

FTFY

Base Clark Kent with no training and under a red sun could still kick Goku's ass all the way until after the Saiyan Saga fight with Vegeta. Goku could barely deal with x20 gravity after training for over 15 years.

Kryptonians are broken strong even without sunlight at all. They are near the Thing's strength when taken to another planet.

hes the type of autist who vomied in rage when batman dodged darkseid's beams in JLU

if he gets to the present timeline. for him to get to the present timeline he needed Trunks' time capsule to go to the present. and for that to happen, Superman has to lose against the 17 and 18 in the future for Trunks to go back, which is unlikely. or someone else goes to the past since we can't say for certain if Vegeta and Bulma even marry.

Perfect Cell could potentially become really OP, but by the time he is born, which is in the future time where Trunks would be a grown up, Superman would be so much more powerful. Cell grew up in a lab inside a mountain with no exposure to the sun. when he gets to his second form, he'll still be behind the, uh, sun absorption race to Superman. also, Superman won't let him reach his perfect form. Superman would be able to hear the movement of his cells anywhere and just smash him with an orbital dive.

>Base Clark Kent with no training and under a red sun could still kick Goku's ass all the way until after the Saiyan Saga fight with Vegeta. Goku could barely deal with x20 gravity after training for over 15 years.

Can we skip the power wanking to prove which alien has the bigger cock aura, and imagine instead what Superman would be like with the Kaioken?

I mean shit if he even learns it. Then, it stands to reason Vegeta and Nappa might actually have access to some kind of red sun tech, what with the moonlight tech. I could see Kal dying in that battle instead of Raditz, so he can be revived onto Namek.

Dude would goddamn love the Dragon Balls.

>Superman has to lose against the 17 and 18 in the future for Trunks to go back

Heart virus, dude. Goku died before he ever saw 17 and 18 in the original timeline.

Cell is like Reverse Flash, he just came from a shitty timeline and thats all there is to it.

>Superman and Goku swap places as baby's

>Red Ribbon Army modifies a human to become stronger

Overthinking it, and making it Not Fun. Try again.

sure there would be, Superman came in his rocket which has the crystal and the cape
