>it's a Jackie Chan chases a completely innocent man that has absolutely NOTHING to do with his daughter's death around Ireland for no other legitimate reason, endangers the lives of thousands of innocent people in the process, kills several others, commits multiple acts of terrorism, foils a government operation that could very well have cost several high-ranking politicians their lives, and gets away with it in the end because "LEL HE'S HAD ENOUGH BOYS LEAVE EM ALONE XD" episode
Seriously, what the FUCK were they thinking?
Was this not a well made movie? I saw it three times with three different groups and environments, each time was great. Jackie really puts emotion into his role
I unironically fucking loved it desu
he knew that the politician had ties to the IRA and hadn't cut the ties
Whoa, the Irish guy planned the terrorist attacks with the IRA. But he didn't want people to die. He knew attacks would happen though, his subordinates just went rogue. If he wasn't a terrorist, Jackie would still have a daughter
It was a good movie to be honest. I just didn't like that he wounded men who didn't have anything to do with the death of his daughter.
i thought it was good desu
That Jackie Chan is a real BallyMurphy Chink.
uhmm sweetie i have been on this before and it didnt take off
>
Why the fuck is a film about terrorists in the year 2017 not about ISIS? I couldn’t take it seriously because I kept laughing at the thought of the fucking IRA having a resurgence.
>Take Charles Bronson from Death Wish
>No, not any of the god awful sequels, just the original Death Wish
>Replace him with Jackie Chan
>Put him in Rambo
>No, not the new one you tard, the original one.
That's the Foreigner.
because ISIS is a touchier subject right now and also the obvious choice
as a northern irishman, I liked having something set where I lived
s'craic lad where you at?
I know nothing of Irish firearms law, but I need to ask.
When he has his men protecting his farm, some of them are patrolling with double barrel shotguns.
Assuming they are part of his security detail, that seems like a horribly inefficient weapon when you could probably muster better weapons, namely with a higher magazine capacity. Especially when other goons had rifles, which were presumeably semiautomatic.
Oh, and you're IRA and have a bunch of presumeably illegal explosives too, so how hard is it to get illegal guns?
What's the deal with that?
Jackie is a fucking machine
>Carries on filming and doing stunts after a broken foot in one of the previous stunts
youtu.be
It's just competent, nothing more.
And this is a peeve of mine but I hate it when the main character only shows up for like half the movie because the rest of the movie is too busy giving the bad guys a backstory as if anyone cares about them, John Wick did this as well and I hated that movie for it.
Is the new movie actually good?
Thinking about watching it this week
Tell me DA NAMES
lisburn m8
honestly wouldn't have a clue sorry, I'm not much of a gun person
It's really comfy ngl
not the guy who asked where you're from but i'm in lisburn too
who the fuck are ye
Haha pleb, I live in Bfast 5 mins from Boojum.
Get fucking rekt.
I liked it.
It's ok, but there's a bit of repetition and at the end it cuts off a lot of what it sets up. Needed more scriptwork but you prolly won't be upset at having watched it. Don't pay to watch it.
What the fuck was the point of this movie, literally all Chan accomplishes is killing the bombers ten seconds before the police do.
>it's ok
>don't pay to watch it
then when should we pay to watch a movie?
They're the only high powered weapons that are allowed to be owned in Ireland. Hunting only. Sometimes see people in the countryside walking the roads with them, going shooting rabbits or foxes.
Easy weapon to get, and the only one you can try to explain away as legal.
If you want to see it in a cinema.
Outside of that everything is just easier to pirate.
It's not even the best action movie of the year but I still really enjoyed it. Shame they didn't use Roose Bolton more tho.
>"Give me a name, and i'll give you his coin.."
>It's a "white people give based Jackie trabble" film
>a completely innocent man
You have a really fucking weird definition of the word 'innocent'.
>Evil white male bearded terrorist men getting chased by non-white black/arab police officers
What a totally believable movie this was
Totally not a 180 degree inversion of actual reality nope
yeah the IRA is famous for it's black and arab members and London is famous for being filled with nothing but anglo saxons
