So now that aku has been slain, what are some of the most satisfying, hype as fuck villain defeats?

not really 'hyped' but I think it's one of the most effective villain deaths ever

This was pretty hardcore
Come to think of it, there are a surprising number of cartoon finales in the past year or so where the villain was ultimately defeated by somebody who's a main character, but not the protagonist
>Gravity Falls
>Wander Over Yonder
>Regular Show
God this defeat was so good
Stan should've never recovered his memories is my only complaint
>GF finale
>good
Loved that ending, would have been better if he never regained his memories.
Putting my vote in
Not a cartoon but Nova ripping annihilation insides out is a classic

The Perfect Ending
It would of been better if they hinted that he COULD regain his memories. Like him referencing something, then leave it open to viewers
Perhaps my favorite villain death of all time
And second place
the sequels were a mistake.
...
Ultimate Alien and Omniverse yes.
good fucking shit
Rules for a good villain defeat.
1) They need to think they have the upper hand
2) The means of defeat should be logical
3) The villain actually freaks out before death.
Agreed. There's nothing wrong with leaving viewers with hope, but at the same time it cheapened his sacrifice a little bit. This said, it remained an excellent scene in and of itself.
Why is SU animation so shit?
Rules for making rules for good X:
1) Don't.
Fucking literary deconstructionist infants.
>SU animation
Nigga that's a tumblr gif
omniverse was good shit
scary as fuck
>he thinks pretty much everything artistic isn't down to a science by now for ~99% of it at least
This is your brain on American "education", folks. Just put in the hard work! You'll obviously succeed!
The Beast from Over the Garden Wall. It proves you don't always need a flashy fight for a satisfying, hype as fuck villain defeat.
>Literally anything about the GF finale
>Satisfying
This one scene in particular was the only "okay" thing; literally everything leading up to it, including how it happened, and everything after it was upsettingly pathetic. Not to mention
>The whole point of erasing his mind was to permanently erase bill
>The mind-wipe gun just... doesn't work and he regains all of his memories instantly because he looked at a book
>We're somehow meant to assume that Bill stayed dead regardless
I could write a fucking essay about everything bad about the finale, but this was arguably the worst of it all.
An excellent metaphor about fear of the unknown and facing that fear.
I'd be interested in reading such an essay. I like hearing the detailed opinions of people I share opinions with.
