the suits have become more and more overdesigned bullshit as time goes by.

nothing will surpass the originals.

The difference is the suits real in the first pic and cgi in the second

It's all outsourced to China and India now.

iron man 1 suits were largely practical

...

Did the soy intake affect his jawline?

Two retarded men in their pajamas.

Exactly. It was a real suit that had CGI used to just touch up a few parts like the light from the eyes.

Now it's all just CGI, which doesn't even make sense because even if RDJ doesn't like wearing it he isn't even in those actual scenes anyway.

that garbage looks plastic and you should feel shame for liking it in the first place.

indeed

do you practice making people cringe or does it come naturally?

Megaman and Protoman movie when?

That's the point. They're trying to pay RDJ as little as possible so they only need him for Tony Stark. Pretty sure 95% of Iron Man scenes in Civil War was a stunt double.

Why not just have him with the suit and use wires at that point.

That's just it, why not have the double actually having a good suit instead of CGI?

Also fuck RDJ, he's getting paid more for each of these movies then most A list actors will make in their career, who cares if the suit's a little uncomfortable?

Probably child safety laws, though why they even used him instead of a double and having him voice is beyond me.

Not even hating, meming or trying to be "that guy" but 2018 looks like pure CGI shit

>first picture has real looking chest, shoulders and arms
>second picture just looks lifted out of an over-budgeted animation film

I don't think RDJ really wants to do it anymore, though, they're just offering him a disgusting amount of money for minimal effort work.

>Don Cheadle is short
Thanks for the frame of reference, RDjr.

Here it is folks, the cultural catharsis of our generation

>ages bitterly on Sup Forums while everyone else has fun

And yet the CGI for this scene looks amazing even now. I think the problem is less the effects and more Disney wanting work done as cheaply as humanly possible.

are you happy now dc? they made it darker and filtered like your movies

I’VE BEEN HERE BEFORE
I STOOD WHERE YOU STAND
THEY CALLED ME THE HERO
THE HERO OF MAN

...

Tony in the Mark VI would have easily stomped Cap and Bucky.

why does iron man have a widow speak?

>0:13 - 0:14
still my favorite part

why does iron man forget he has tank missiles?

youtube.com/watch?v=adW46gsMTXM

>child safety laws

Dude is 21 years old

ha ha, got him dude

Where do you think you are?

So contrarian you can't even fit in your home.

Sad.

>cars vs cars 2

Part II is kino.

How the fuck do you get worse CGI with a bigger budget?

A protomen movie would be great if it was influenced by anyone but the assholes in the band

The money went from the prop suit to RDJ's salary

Well duh the first movie probably didn't even pay RDJ directly, just covered his rehab and bail

It would make the rest of the CGI scenes look as awful as they truly are by comparison.

How many women and POC do you think worked on the 2008 one versus the other? That's what really matters.

manlet safety laws

>Look, I know we got you in here to help with under representation, but we do need you to at least try to give us quality work.
>Lemme tells you why das raycis...

It's more to do with the fact that the top is mostly a practical suit while the bottom is full CGI

>5'9"
>also 5'9"

one bitter nerd sitting in mommy's basement

Top is a real-life physical suit. The last real one they made for Iron Man. Bottom is full CGI.

Here's the thing about CGI. Looking real is not the main priority. It's about convenience, and cost. It's easier to CGI than use practical effects. You can do more with it. Having it look real is a secondary concern. As long as it's "good enough", and meets the standards of the year it was made in, then it's fine.

Also, RDJ put in his contract that he doesn't want to wear the full suit anymore. He wants them to CGI it. Apparently, the full suit was really heavy, and hard to move in.

What's wrong with the band? I like the music, but know nothing about the people who made it.

>He wants them to CGI it.

They dont care what he fucking wants production wise. They dont have to force him to wear it fine, but they can easily put a stand in in it

Why hasn't Hollywood tried to cash in on Waterworld nostalgia yet?

That's fantastic.

Who built the practical suit?

Batman.

>could have just used his super lasers at the very beginning
this movie is such fucking trash and so is pacific rim

that dude bangs actresses and models

show some respect when you talk about me

92603949
They're getting more open about not getting along since all the shit with losing wily's singer and the original artistic vision has been trashed by shitty gimicks like the light up the night video fiasco.

both pics use a real suit

>hurr why don america just use the nukes first!

Boy did they get sloppy lazy

Dude is a hardcore twink faggot though. The only thing he is banging is the headboard while his ass is getting fucked.

>ITS THE BLACK PEOPLE'S FAULT!!1!!1!1

maybe because it's a one shot kinda thing only to be used in a dire situation? because he thought him and rhodey could take on the robots? literally how stupid are you

Are you retarded? RDJ prints money as Iron Man. If RDJ doesn't want to wear a full suit, and if it's in his contract, then he doesn't wear the full suit. It's pretty cut and dry. Disney can't force him to do anything. RDJ has all the leverage.

he literally says that, in the scene that he can only do it once.

I LOVE CAPESHIT

No but this time it unrionicly was forced diversity fault. There was a big controversy after the game floped about employees bitching about forced hires having sup par work

Also pic related

Iron Man's suits have looked progressively shittier with each movie. I could understand from a story stand-point why his suits would be altered, but they just get tackier and tackier.

kek

Original Iron Man used a suit produced by Stan Winston with a CGI overlay provided by ILM

KEK

Out of all the damage control i see on this thread, Marvels is by far the worst

...

They had to cut into cgi budget for RDJ’s massive salary. Plus Disney outsourced to code monkey poo’s because they are cheaper.

>paying to watch the same movie over and over again, twice a year for 10 straight years
>fun

b...but i'm being part of modern cultural events! like the incoming EPIC Avengers 3

Why are the bots missing them so hard? It's like prequel SW, enemies intentionally missing and somehow marching slowly towards a lightsaber opponent.

2008 features only a few CGI items on screen at a time.

2018 is 90% CGI to the point you may as well render the movie as a PS4 game

jesus

Then, as mentioned before, have a double in the suit and have him dub the lines. We wouldn't notice. Why is that so fucking hard when the results suffer so much from CGIing every fucking thing.

This isn't a joke? You people watch this?

Damn, why are you comparing a good Spiderman movie to a bad 90's video game?

To be fair Ivan only had a short amount of time to make the bots and program them, that explains why they're not functioning perfectly

Obligatory.

Because blockbuster movie production has gone full retard ages ago. CGI is like religion nowadays with big budget movies. The studios believe it can do no wrong.

Because the use more CGI, not more time to do CGI.

Ironman 1 was pure engineering and robotics kino. The opening sequence is everything how an ironman film should feel like. The technology was absurd but at least displayed in a way that was believable because it had limitations, like ice freezing the suit at high altitudes (in which he had to find a way to fix). I miss batman tony stark, a character who would literally went above his limitations with his bare fucking hands. Now he's literally technology god, able to transform into 100th suit from his wristwatch. Takes away the original appeal, and you wonder why its so boring to see him in recent movies.

Because it literallly can't do any wrong. With cgi you cut so much on cost and time, also eliminating any liability of any accidents on set. What used to take an entire crew and a couple of months now can be done with a small group of jackoffs within a month. It mostly looks like shit, but if sacrificing quality to get to a point of "good enough" where people will come see it anyways, Disney will continue to do it because who cares

friendly reminder infinity wars is going to be a no mans sky tier 80% cgi slopfest

They used a CGI suit in Civil War so photos wouldn't leak on the internet. And it didn't. Although they revealed him in a trailer months before release so they just wasted the surprise.
Now in Homecoming there was a real suit (but still CGI bullshit at some moments).

This should make everyone sad.

Damn is that left pic shooped? He looks 20 years younger.

Agreed. The ease with which he creates new suites is verging on magic. How awesome would it be to see the semi-original suit (not the cave-made one) looking worn and added onto. Think Back to the Future III Delorean Iron Man suit. Fucking kino.

Literally 10 years ago

I'm not paying to go see it. Might not even stream it. They CGI'ed their way out of my interest.

Homecoming was an embarrassment. I honestly have no idea how such embarrassing visual blunders can pass through production like that.

NASA will release new CGI tech after alien invasion

They became lazy, because they could

It's like with everything, if something gets popular, you can just ride that and lower your effort because there will always be people who accept it anyways

After RDJ got paid, there was almost nothing left on everything else

So fucking cool that we have vision, black panther and spider-man in one movie on the silver screen
