the prequels did have a lot of cool lore

really the only good thing in the entire prequels and sequels.

The banking clan will sign your treaty.

For fucks sake.

Did the junglist federation sign the treaty too? How about the psytrance clan?

If you like mind-numbingly dull space politics in goofy voices sure. The sequels actually get people don't give a fuck about that and watch star wars for epic space lazers and shit blowing up

*adjusts ur nipple*

*blockades your trade route*

Normies think this is an improvement.

Lore is the foundation. If you want something to last you build a good foundation on lore. That's why the prequels are memeing so hard right now - people remember the lore.

The sequels, for all their effort, will never ascend to meme Valhalla.

What lore?
Green tooth headed nigga had a single line.

Sequels have lots of lore. It's all in the books though.

>Directors are too retarded and are unable to present lore in film like Lucas managed too

Half of the prequels felt like C-SPAN in Space, and the rest was shitty romance or random explosions

youtu.be/PW4OIHDsWsM

Hehehehehehehe

>Not posting it

Pleb.

youtube.com/watch?v=PW4OIHDsWsM

GOD DAMN IT

techo mind

>tfw playing both at the same time

Now play both at the same time.

It wasn't even GOOD C-SPAN
Or even believable C-SPAN

Why did Padme and her ilk oppose a Republic Army? Wasn't her planet BTFO as a kid precisely because it only had ceremonial guards? Weren't they SAVED by a Goonga army?
Who supports the Army? What are their reasons? They're just shouting voices heard in the Senate scenes or creepily evil guys rubbing their hands together going "Yes.... Yes... Make an army...."

starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Techno_Union

Did they retcon the prequels? Why are they under legends?

yeah, the prequels were pretty much designed to build up on the lore, they introduced so many characters that haven't even said a word on screen or uttered a single line for the Expanded Universe to expand about

GOD DAMN IT AGAIN! Im syncing with anons, this is scary.

Can I learn this power?

>The Techno union is at your disposal cunt

Without all the factions, politics, aliens, characters and planets Lucas put in, Star Wars is nothing. Literally all they can do with that universe is decades of unending war now that they destroyed the only non-military parts of their universe.

We had impoverished planets and large corporations banding together to secede from what they thought was an unfair political system. And then Jar Jar Abrams blew that up so Disney could keep farting out wave after wave of creatively bankrupt schlock about fighting space nazis

Fuck it.

MEGAMIX

youtube.com/watch?v=s4lyelymLac

Except that George repeatedly said that the EU is stupid and he pays zero attention to it. He didn't set up shit because he doesn't give a squirt of piss what some autists do with the vomit he calls a script

found the disney shill

>We had impoverished planets and large corporations banding together to secede from what they thought was an unfair political system.
Unfair how?
Who was impoverished? I thought they were paid all by Palpatine to do it?

the space politics was the best part of the prequels

Not from a gabber.

Youre talking millions of planet man. Palpatine was rich, but he wasnt THAT fucking rich. Im sure some of them thought they were legit freedom fighters.

>trips

dammit this makes me want to watch the Prequels again hoping maybe they might be not as horrible as i remembered

The prequels are memeing so hard because theyre so easy to make fun off.
The Dark Knight Rises produced the best memes in any batman movie but its still the shittiest one in the trilogy.

My EXP. points have doubled since the last time we met count. i have reduced my cool downs and expanded my inventory by 13 squares.

I'm just saying that the movie had absolutely none of that.
As far as we know, it was all a sham by Papa Palpa, like it was in TPM.
They SAY it's all unfair, but nothing is specified and we see nothing being unfair.

>implying that disney doesnt want to rehabilitate the prequels

it makes their property more valuable if the prequels were thought of as good, and they even included the point of the prequels (the jedi order was fucking shit) into the sequel trilogy.

Good.
Twice the inventory, double the loot

they're easy to make fun of but they're also completely unashamed and comfortable with themselves. lucas doesn't care what you think and it shows in the films themselves.

>lucas doesn't care what you think
He cares a lot though
He has lots of quotes about how upset he is about "people on the internet" and such.
It's why he sold it to Disney because he thought he was finally freeing himself from the shackles of the series.
Until he sobered up and said it was like selling his kid to "white slavers"

The Outer Rim was always been incredibly poor compared to the inner cluster. Because of this, they received far less support and political power in the Republic and felt they were unfairly taxed based on what they received in return. The large corporations also joined because they felt they were being unfairly taxed as well. Others like the Quarren joined for racial reasons.

While Palpatine definitely manipulated and goaded them into war, they were all true believers in their cause and weren't paid to do it.

Its occasionally touched on in the movies and is a lot more in depth in the shows.

>are memeing so hard right now - people remember the lore.
Uh no. They are memeing because of the goofy dialogue that was just painful when actually watching the movies. Nobody remembers the lore, which was mostly outsourced into the EU, just like in the OT and the ST.

Also the political shit wasn't bad because politics are boring, it was because George had incredibly naive understanding of politics and that made it boring together with the simplistic and dumb dialogue.

plebs
youtu.be/1zvjFHSZZSI

>a non-stop barrage of insults and memes from Sup Forums caused Lucas to sell SW to Disney
sad if true

>>The Outer Rim was always been incredibly poor compared to the inner cluster. Because of this, they received far less support and political power in the Republic and felt they were unfairly taxed based on what they received in return
What part of the movie was that in?

hehehe

...

AYY LMAO SPACE TAXES

Jesus, didnt even know there were more.

Wonder how the mouse feels that all their new wars movies are good for is youtube poops and memes?

The part when they are on Tatooine and they say shit like wee I can't believe there's still slavery in the outer rim

>when he flips the switch
>”They found us, run!!”
Hyperkeks

Tatooine wasn't a part of the Republic though

...

unlike the movies the clone wars cartoon is actually good.

Whats the next step of your master plan?

NUH UH

THIS SHIT GOES TO ELEVEN

youtube.com/watch?v=WEX5uB7f33I

RIP bibble bop

That's expanded upon in the shows. Their explicit complaints are about corruption in the movies.

youtube.com/watch?v=GaXHDpCe-KI

Dooku was lying though. He's a liar and a bad guy. He shoots lightning like the Emperor, who is really bad

Dooku wasn't lying he was idealistic he really thought they were building a fucking utopia

I know the point of the CIS was to create a sham war so Palpatine could create the Empire but you think Dooku would want to team up with people that could actually fight not a giant tooth and a bug with a beard

...

But he has Evil Powers that only work if you're evil, like the Emperor

It's time for your nap, Rian.

That's why Dooku got the Techno Union. Without Sheev helping the other side Dooku would have easily prevailed.

the prequels are beginning to look better than the sequels 2bh
youtube.com/watch?v=DHl6Jsgq600

From my point of view, the other powers are evil.

Seriously that's not even canon, like you don't have to be a sith to force choke someone

...

>coming in Ep 9
>The EDM Union

AROUND THE SURVIVORS A PERIMETOR CREATE

>I don't like space politics

...

And yet the sequels, especially TFA have some of the worst battle scenes in the series. If the nu wars 'got' that people wanted to see action, then they're an even bigger failure than I thought.

>prequel trilogy have different scenes explaining the social and political ramifications of events unfolding in each film
>sequel trilogy has all the bad guys in their ships chasing all the good guys in their ships, encompassing what is meant to be a galaxy-wide conflict into 2 or 3 freighters slowly chasing each other

Remember "the prequels are bad" meme?

>I know the point of the CIS was to create a sham war
this is only partly true. it's like saying the iranian revolution only happened due to CIA influence. the circumstances had to be there for the foreign meddler to exploit in the first place. the CIS systems did nothing wrong imo. The Republic was a shitty system ruled by a bunch of fags and jedi

>If you like mind-numbingly dull space politics in goofy voices sure.
Thank you, until you said this I didn't realize that it's exactly what I want.

Me, too. Then I actually think about them and OH BOY

...

They probably just take another bath in their merchandising money. That's how they make the REAL money.
>"Honey, what should we get the kids for their stockings?"
>"I don't know, some Star Wars doll?"

George tried to tell a story with a far larger scale than the OT. He needed more time than was required of three movies, but he probably didn't realize it.

Based /hc/ poster

is that fucking frankenberry in steampunk armor

YES

He inherited all the wealth from the banker plagueis...

>Le prequels are bad meme

ebin :^)

notice how george subtly hints with this almost unnoticeable background character they maybe involved in providing tech for vaders suit.

>C-SPAN
>not C-Beams

RLMfag detected

prequels were pure spacekino

Was Dooku actually being genuine here? Did he want to destroy the Sith?

No, he probably just wanted to recruit Obi-Wan as an apprentice in the Sith. Which is what he did with Grevious.

Why do I seem to remember the prequels differently to everybody else? I remember TPM got a lot of praise, with the only negative being Jar Jar. AotC was seen as a bit hokey still, but a big improvement. RotS was seen as better than RotJ and a good final film. Why does it suddenly seem like everybody everywhere always thought all three of the films were garbage? It can't be just because of the Plinkett reviews.

Meant for

>misquoting twice
I think you had a bit too much of the juri juice.

hi angry joe, how many shekels did disney pay you?

same reason on Sup Forums the gamecube and n64 suddenly became the greatest systems of their generation around the time everyone from the nes and snes era left.

TPM was shockingly bad, AotC was more shockingly even worse, RotS was mostly bad and had a memorable ending. I dont remember anyone except kids under 12 liking those movies.

>TPM was shockingly bad, AotC was more shockingly even worse
Yeah, back in the day, you'd have been slapped so hard that your baseball cap would spin around and you'd spit out your hot dog if you said that. AotC was seen as a huge improvement by virtually everybody at the time.
