Why is it that women can't understand films about boats?

Why is it that women can't understand films about boats?

Master & Commander, Das Boot, Dunkirk, Mutiny on the Bounty, Billy Budd, the list goes on...

Womyn don't get master and commander because it's about two men's respect and admiration for eachother's skill and crew despite being adversaries while womyn can't compete with eachother without acting like children. They don't Dunkirk cause it's about men's desperate fight for survival in a society and world that views them as disposable meat to be ground up in the machine of war.

they get turned off because guys refer to boats as if they were female.

See, that's where you're wrong, though. They don't like Dunkirk because it protrays men as disposable meat, when in reality it is women (and only women) who are treated poorly by society. Dunkirk is unrealistic because men are not treated that poorly in real life

No I'm pretty sure it's films about boats in general (except Pirates of the Caribbean I guess), my mom LOVES Saving Private Ryan but absolutely hates Dunkirk, Das Boot etc.

What are some Kinos with no women?
I already watched Lawrence of Arabia

Dunkirk

...

Lack of history with ships. Women were always left at home as men sailed the seas and went on adventure. Evolved to either hate men leaving on boats or be jealous and resentful of not being able to go on adventures and thus try to rationalize that they are boring.

Maybe they're bored with films featuring only men? How many movies do you enjoy featuring only women?

>movies do you enjoy featuring only women
name one

Private Ryan is just a well crafted shooty evil Nazi film though, easy for plebs to sit back and enjoy.

But it's thematically similar to all the other films mentioned, it's just that it doesn't prominently feature boats and sailing.

could be wrong tho

Women have been so pedestalized throughout all of history that the very concept of social disposability is inconceivable to them.

How does your mom feel about the films Patton, Platoon, Bridge on the River Kwai or Stalingrad(1993)? I'd argue they are a lot closer to the films listed in the OP than Saving Private Ryan is.

The Thing

She likes Platoon, never saw any of the others with her.

...

It's something about the concept of men being able to exist happily on a self-contained vessel with absolutely no women around.
The very existence of naval ships like that is proof that men simply do not need women at all. Aside from procreation, there is practically nothing that women are capable of doing that men are not.

Conversely, women have always and will always need men to survive. To farm, to defend them, to move heavy things, and even in our modern day, to pay the lion's share of taxes which mostly go towards subsidising women.

idk but SILENT HERO JOURNEY BOY sounds like a cool film.
