I just rewatched the OT and I just noticed, possibly, that Luke does not start reflecting laser shots until RotJ. He just comes off like a real badass when he shows up at Jabbas.

ataru is full of wasteful movement. at a given skill level, makashi will probably defeat any other form, with the possible exception of either form 7 variant.

That scene was rare kino in a shit series. Obi-Wan switching from his Soresu stance into Qui-Gon's Ataru which baits Maul into trying the pommel bunt that he hit Qui-Gon with in Ep 1 that Obi-Wan sees coming a mile away and swiftly punishes him for it.

Even he had to give up in the late 90's/early 2000's since he couldn't keep up with everything that was being released (up until that point he had consumed every piece of Star Wars media ever). Also, IIRC he doesn't play games (he's kind of old) so he only knew their vague plots.
