Because Jay's opinions are almost always totally neutral and says absolutely nothing insightful or meaningful at all. I know what he's going to say before he speaks.

Mike's schtick of behaving contrarian to Jay's lukewarmness and inability to have a firm opinion has lasted so long that he has become the schtick.
