I hated when he said "who did you bring?", felt so casual, it was Harrison Solo, not Deckard. I think he's trying hard to sound energetic and youthful which is inappropriate. Deckard would barely speak a word, especially at old age after being a hermit for 30 years. His scenes didn't make sense to begin with. What is this trend of old heroes becoming hermits?

The film was very good till K found Deckard, in TLJ atleast Mark tried his best, but Harrison just gives really no fucks.

He is literally addicted to the high of being a famous movie star. The magic is no longer there and he hates everyone around him, but he just can't let go. One more flick. Another million. The billboards must say "Harrison Ford" while he sits in his study, puffing a half-lit stogie and drinking whiskey he also doesn't even like anymore; it just has to be this way.

It's not a new concept. Hell, it was already a stock character type of long-standing when the original Star Wars had Obi Wan as a hermit.

Deckard being a recluse made sense. He went on the run at the end of the original film, and he's still in hiding 30 years later as a result.

Luke becoming a hermit, however, came at the expense of undoing all of his character development from the OT.
