>This is America's funniest tv moment of all time

Is that you Israeli-user

This is what happens when plebs are allowed to vote. Only Fools and Horses is overrated shite.

fuck you just seeing the image made me laugh

>this is british comedy
heh look at dis bloke walk funny innit

Its anglo genetics.
>this isn't shooped

>all that worried laughter

john really was a madman

I’m actually laffin m8

Physical comedy can best perfect punchlines as long as it's timed right and not too over the top.

This. The setup was great, him pretending to be smooth and confident, then fate kicks him in the balls. The comedy was perfect as Jason didn't brace himself or react in any way as if knowing the bar was missing, as is often the problem in lesser American comedies.

>Only Fools and Horses is overrated shite.
respectfully, youre wrong.

HE FELL THROUGH THE BAR STEW

... and then Trigger made a face.

>wibble

stewart lee made a great routine out of this fact that created yet more laughter. you just said it how you said it which doesn't make any laughter

His routine would confuse and infuriate the American

Yeah and what of it? OFAH is classic and one of the best British comedy shows of all time.

>and I let my wife sleep with a black man!
>*woohhhhhwoooohhhh*

American humour

'enjoy your oi'

what is the american delboy falls through the bar?

I thought fork handles was Britain's funniest tv moment of all time.

PIVOT

*guffaws*

>fork handles

I'm British and what is this

...

>I'm British

Barely.

Andles. Andles for forks.

But user, that's not Father Ted?

It's the best Irish show by far, probably the best Anglo show in general

I really don't rate British comedy.
They are good at panel shows, very witty, but even they have declined since they have been trying to cater to plebs for the last 10 years and so bring on unfunny young comedians or C-list celebrity trash instead of just using good comedians.

t. British

>Stewart Lee made people laugh
pleb opinion. Lee goes out of his way to make sure he isn't funny and tests his subjects on whether they laugh or not. you failed.

Fo__ _andles

audiences like you as good as murdered robin williams.

> Says "Dyn-o-mite" catchphrase
> This is the funniest American tv moment of all time

Im genuine. Lee's recent stuff is exactly that. he's gone off the deep end

HE WAS VERTICAL AND NOW HE'S HORIZONTAL STEW

> The "funny" jew says "pivot"

> he says "PIVOT!!!"

t. American

Never watched Fools. Is it any good?

Tepid 80s sitcom.

It's the four candles sketch by the 2 Ronnies.

RICHARD HAMMOND IS NOT A REAL HAMSTER

>Hello Mrs Bucket
>It's Boutique
>This is Britain's funniest tv moment of all time

yes but Im bit biased.
the best stuff about the show are the big dialogue scenes, usually at beginning of an episode. first episode they whipped a shit load of character details, all unforced and mostly hilarious. shame the writer died.

>Irish
>Anglo

>Boutique

It has moments of genius throughout. Once you hit the longer Christmas specials it gets a bit worse.

This bit never fails to make me laugh, even David Jason is barely keeping it together. youtu.be/vKgRBz6nIO8

Does anyone actually like sketch shows? 2pleb4me

>Boutique
could have just checked what shit you were talking. look a fool now

Love Harry Enfield tbqh

Also love bottom's live shows.

Two Ronnies & most Harry Enfield stuff are gold.

never noticed that lol
you can tell Delboy is about to crack when he whacks him with paper

>imagine being so salty by a bit of slapstick comedy in a sitcom that aired 20 years ago that you do a bit in your standup on it
Stewart Lee is a massive faggot

>you ever heard of those rap singers
>you know the rap singers
>them rap singers
>sing about rap
>the rap singers,
>you must have heard of these rap singers
Oh yeah Stewart Lee is genius alright.

Great isn't it? Also anything involving Trigger is funny, Roger Lloyd Pack was underrated.

>"Rod liddle"
>*eating noises*
>repeat for 20 minutes
honestly if you found this funny, even Lee himself is laughing at you

>BUT WOT ABOUT THE MUSLIMS STEW?!!?!

youtube.com/watch?v=1jShyzQcoCo

>wah wah, people enjoy things and i don't

red dwarf gets shit after a while

I grew up with anglo comedy, my father was a "dude monty python lmao" nerd

They are all terrible apart from Father Ted

When it's a sitcom,it's pretty good. But when they try to force drama so actors can show their range,it sucks. I mean a sitcom had a long arc of young couple arguing all the time and then she gets pregnant, everything is good until she loses the child. It's a fucking sitcom.

Series 1-6 never get tired. Beyond that it's hit and miss.

If you're talking about the poppadom thing, yeah, that was avant garde anticomedy, or maybe he did that to get his show cancelled because of reasons. But the falling through the bar routine is much older.

Second only to his pronunciation of
>Bob

monty python is good though

Brainlet detected.

Quite honestly though Monty Python is more a smirk and a sensible chuckle on occasion. Its not laugh out loud funny 99% of the time. But that's British humour; we understand you can't just constantly have everyone splitting their sides, so our comedies often go for a general feeling of amusement.

Its why a lot of our comedies aren't as fucking forced as US ones, where they haven't gotten the memo yet and try to make every single sentence a joke.

Sounds very british actually

>The League of Gentlemen
Add Inside No. 9 to that list. Looking forward to tonight's episode.

LAMO this parrot is DEAD lul.
The absolute pinnacle of Bong comedy.

That's due to a speech impediment the Rowan Atkinson has. He finds it hard to say vowel sounds after a b.

this is the real GOAT UK comedy moment

I never understand why the parrot sketch is put on a pedal stool by anyone.

their sketch stuff is as hit and miss as anything, the films are still great though.

Most of the humor comes from absurd situations being absurd, which is as seep as puddle
>Wow they only have spam, and spam is a terrible food
>random singing *holds up spork*
There are genuinely funny gags but most are meh after you get used to the weirdness

>The Phantom Raspberry Blower of Old London Town.

Post comedy Americans will never understand.

Lennon the darkstrider

>pedal stool

yeah I don't see why it's held in such high regard, the whole sketch is a bit of a damp squid desu.

For me, it's the one where Ronnie Barker has to remember a load of people's drinks orders, keeps failing but has a drink every time he goes to the bar and progressively gets their orders more and more mixed up

Brittas Empire deserves a mention

>Peep Show
>Snuff Box
>Toast of London
>Mighty Boosh
>Limmys Show
>Burniston
>Brass Eye
>Look Around You

Since the bbc brought in a policy to not green light new comedy by Oxbridge graduates there have been no funny shows on the bbc. Last thing that made me chuckle was Not Going Out when Tim Vine was still in it. Radio comedy and radio dramas have also gone to shit. Bbc dead.

Why ins't Ideal ever mentioned in these British comedy threads until I obviously do?

In my list there are shows that I have seen multiple times and watch on a consistent basis to this day. I haven't seen the Brittas Empire since it aired tbqh.

I have tried for 20 or so years to perform this walk and I just can't. How did he get away with it

Fpbp

Here it is. Normally don't like Stewart Lee, but this is actually good.
vimeo.com/141220204

Wrong, pleb. He as salty about people voting it the funniest thing on television ever for the nth time.

Because that was way back in days of old when BBC 3 had new shows on it that were actually good. Not many remember those times.

I'm an aussie and I just find it strange such an off kilter comedy ins't discussed more, I'm not going to waste my time shilling it, it is what it is

Fuck Vegas and his gambling ads though

What are you guys doing for Del Day this year?

...

Looking it up now I'm honestly surprised it ran for seven series. I used to catch the odd episode when it was on but I guess I was to young to get it. Same with Nathan Barley.
Since I've finished My Name Is Earl and The League of Gentlemen I'll make Ideal my next one to give a proper watch.
Most people probably only know Johnny Vegas from On Digital/PG Tips ads with the monkey.

The Carry On series is the peak of British comedy. Some of the best ones are...

Carry On Nurse
Carry On Doctor
Carry On Cleo
Carry On Behind
Carry On Jack
Carry On Don't Lose Your Head
Carry On Follow That Camel
Carry On Camping
Carry On Regardless
Carry On Loving
Carry On Up the Khyber
Carry On Girls
Carry On Matron
Carry On Camping
Carry On at Your Convenience
Carry On Dick

didn't see anything interesting in any of these brit shows
