Who would you cast if Disney actually had the balls to do this?
>Jake Gyllenhaal as Revan
>Tom Hardy as Malak
>Nathan Fillion as Carth
>Olivia Munn as Bastila
>Danny Glover as Jolee
>Ron Perlman as Canderous
What are your suggestions?
Who would you cast if Disney actually had the balls to do this?
Other urls found in this thread:
Idris Elba as Revan
Bastila would have to be trans
Carth is a little weak white guy
Canderous is Asian
Malak is an evil white guy
>Malak is a big guy with a mask where his mouth should be
Tom Hardy is the only option, and they should give Aiden Gillen a cameo
Sisko as Jolee
I absolutely adored this game when it came out but on replaying it it's really no better than modern Bioware. The dialogue trees feel like they were written by a little kid and Malak is one of the worst villains in anything.
...
plsno
KOTOR is pure
All female cast.
Genocide white males.
#resist
he's perfect, as an actor he has pulled off just that personality type flawlessly in the past, and he closely looks the part of the character for once
Umm sweetie Revan was a woman in the original game.
No, canonically (according to TOR) Revan is male, looks like , while the Jedi Exile from Kotor 2 is female, named Meetra Surik, looks like pic related.
That was KOTOR II.
...
>canonically
where exactly are you taking this from?
How could you possibly adapt this to film?
Going from Taris to Dantooine to Tatooine/Kashyyk/Korriban, then to Ralta Prime, it'd be way to cluttered and disjointed for a movie. You'd have to streamline it a lot so out of curiosity how would you make such a film?
Malak isn't that bad really, he's just a hothead serving as an addition to Revan. Revan carries this whole thing, both as a hero and as a villain.
If you want villains written by a little kid, kotor 2 is way more fitting.
>Darth Nihilus
>he's like evil and like kills planets and his voice sounds like Vader's breathing
>Darth Sion
>he like loves pain and makes people suffer because that's cool
> Idris Elba as Revan
Makes sence.
> Bastila would have to be trans
No, she wouldn't.
> Carth is a little weak white guy
Just like in the game.
> Canderous is Asian
Perfect.
> Malak is an evil white guy
Just like in the game.
The Old Republic, the MMO that flopped and the related media. All of this is "Legends" now but in terms of Kotor canon Revan is male, and the Exile is female.
based Sup Forumseddit
I see.
Does Revan cannonically turn to the light side and goes on like that till the end?
Seth Rogen as Revan
James Franco as Carth
Michael Cera as Malak
>Revan is male, and the Exile is female.
Intredasting... what do they look like, do they have confirmed models from the game?
Yeah, I never cared much for Nihilus and Sion (although I love Nihilus' mask design). Kreia might be lolgrey but I really like her.
Yeah Kreia was cool. In the end there was more to her than just lolgrey, probably the coolest character from the game desu
plus you know good actor
Canonically Revan is split, The Exile is pure lightside.
see
In terms of in game face options Revan is closest to male caucasian face 4, The exile is closest to female caucasian face 3
Man bastilla was bangin. For a 2003 model anyways
Kotor has some pretty terrible faces and models for 2003 actually. I was replaying Metroid Prime recently and my immediate reaction was "wow this is a year BEFORE Kotor on much weaker hardware what the fuck was Bioware doing". Kotor was an Xbox/PC game it by all right should look amazing for the time.
To think that my "Raven" was like Samuel Jackson, but I was very young at the time and Windu from TPM, even without doing anything, seemed so badass.
if I were to play now, I would probably do a white female Raven.
obviously it should be a high budget HBO miniseries
>Idris Elba as Revan
Obligatory
god, that book and the MMO have such an awful story, all it accomplishes is making Revan and the Exile lame as shit
Fuck off with these threads already you cuck.
Are the round marks from his mask being nailed on or something?
Friendly reminder that KOTOR is but a myth, a story... a Star Wars Legend™.
>Canonically Revan is split
But I'm sure I remember reading his light side ending is the canon one.
Shane Carruth as Revan
>he needs permission to enjoy something
From his 300 year torture in Emperor's bdsm dungeon. Bioware writing.
>actually wanting a video game adaptation
Tomb Raider aside, that entire genre is unwatchably bad
I'd watch only if some way Porgs are put in the movie... wasn't there a mission where some fat little bugs plagued the ship? oh... TLJ kinda did that...
Yes, he turns light in the end and nearly every lightside choice in the game is the "canon" choice, but if you've played TOR you'd know Revan has a split personality between the good Revan and Darth Revan.
>if you've played TOR you'd know Revan has a split personality between the good Revan and Darth Revan.
oh god that sounds like some shitty fanfic
Drop the RPG quest angle to find the star maps, the one he finds on Dantooine is the only one you need to tell the story.
Oh it is, Bioware is fucking terrible at writing but you knew this. Kotor II was the one with decent writing not Kotor well up until TOR butched that as well.
It would be cool if he had to go to Korriban for some reason though. The Sith academy and the tombs of the old Siths have some potential. Maybe weave some fragment about him resisting the allure of the darkside while there too
am I seeing Traya's booty here?
>Kotor II was the one with decent writing not Kotor
Played them both in the past month and I think it's the other way around. Aside from Kreia, most characters feel way more bland, and so do the reasons for the conflict. And both Nihilus and Sion are really bad villains with no specific goals or motivations.
That's Visas I think.
>If you want villains written by a little kid, kotor 2 is way more fitting.
What? Kreia/Traya's dialogue is one of the best things about that game
>Everything is basically the same as the clone wars xD
What a shit setting. Why couldn't they do something original? Sup Forumseddit's taste is atrocious.
Yeah Kreia was a good character, but Nihilus and Sion were not.
>Olivia Munn as Bastila
Bastila is white you dumb fuck.
Kotor predates clone wars dipshit.
>most characters feel way more bland, and so do the reasons for the conflict. And both Nihilus and Sion are really bad villains with no specific goals or motivations.
Then what you want isn't good writing, it's the bioware chart and a safe and familiar story so you know what to think because you're incapable of doing it for yourself.
i dont get how the guy that wrote the bane books shit out this turd
They both had shit writing by non gaming standards. It's cute that Obsidian fanboys always overrate that game.
What's your problem? How is making edgy siths just for the sake of that with no real motivations or agendas good writing?
>Bastila is white
No.
White skin, blue eyes, somehow not white
She was retconned as Asian on SWTOR, but KotOR Bastilla is clearly white.
Anyway this is her grandaughter.
Cast them.
>edgy
You're only proving his point that you lack the intelligence to appreciate good writing.
>Darth Nihilus
>he's like evil
Except he isn't.
>Darth Sion
>he like loves pain
Except he doesn't.
>idris elba as revan
Nothing wrong with this.
she's the very definition of hapa. Olivia Munn would be perfect honestly.
Nihlus and Sion were good characters too, but their worth was in making a point about the nature of power rather than their personality.
Nihlus is seemingly an invincible and terrifying power, but the fact that he's a slave to his own hunger makes him the weakest of the Three. Someone like Sheev is technically weaker, but the fact that he's a true Sith means he'd run rings around him, since he doesn't rely solely on his power.
Sion is seemingly immortal and unstoppable, but his immortality relies on his focus. He can never waver, or he will die. This means that he's utterly incapable of reflection, making him nothing more than a puppet to dance on Kreia's strings.
Revan is a female grey jedi in my usual playthroughs, though.
Which means she quips a lot (BioWare's superior dialog choices are always "doormat", "quipmaster" and "sociopath") and spams Force lightning.
Not sure how well it would translate to a movie...
Mortal Kombat, dude.
...
this. 1 had wayyyyy better writing than 2
kreia is awful. deadset on being this awkward fish that always tells you not to be good not to be bad
silent hill was decent enough to watch through 1 time, starts weak but gets better towards the end.
I'm sure your next effort will go better, user
...
>rehashed Dark side light side
>masked villain
thanks EU
...
No cheating now.
Last one was one you clearly cobbled together yourself in 5 minutes. Don't steal others
The funny part Obsidiots don't get is that KOTOR is more true to Star Wars than KOTOR 2. It made sense why Malek is Saturday Morning Cartoon Evil, Star Wars is a space opera for kids. It's meant to have black and white morality.
>b-but muh deconstruction! Chris Avellone is GOAT!
Fuck off.
shut up you absolute retard
So what you're saying is that he's right, you don't want good writing, you want simple familiar stories for children so you know what to think. Gotcha.
>2deep4me
She doesn’t look like that anymore and cannot act
She needs to be British and an unknown
>It's meant to have black and white morality.
I'd believe you if BioWare had ever written anything that wasn't black/white. Since they haven't, I'll just have to believe they're actually incompetent.
How exactly does this prove that Kotor 2 has better writing? Sion's line is over the top edgy bullshit. Fuck, his entire character is being a walking corpse that is not falling apart only because he is in such pain that he hates everything and dark side keeps him alive. Malak atleast had understandable human motivations.
shut up you absolute retard
>edgy
Only proving him right user.
Well if edgy for the sake of being edgy is good writing in your book, I guess he is right. I think you are just missing the point that star wars is a fucking space opera.
Keanu Reeves as Revan
Rebecca Ferguson as Bastila
Ben Affleck as Carth Onasi
Get the same voice actor for HK-47
Isabela Moner as Mission Vao
Sofia Boutella as Juhani
Denzel Washington as Jolee Bindo
Tom Hardy as Darth Malak
John Travolta as Darth Bandon
Ron Perlman as Canderous Ordo
Andy Serkis as the Rakata bad guy I don't remember his name its been a while
>ad hominem
Looks like I hit a nerve.
goose better be in it
and fraser
Juhani, and probably Mission/Zaalbar, would most likely get cut in any adaption.
They're definitely the least useful characters and don't have the Appeal of HK or Canderous.
>Ben Affleck as Carth Onasi
Casey can play an annoying shit better imo.
>Revan
Christian Bale
>Bastila
Emily Blunt
>Carth
Karl Urban
>Juhani
Zoe Salldana
>Canderous
Dave Bautista
>Jolee
Lance Reddick
>Mission
Emma Stone
>HK
Christian Slater
>Malak
Vin Diesel
Yeah, desu if they were ever to do it a lot of shit like the Korriban and Taris subplots would get cut but its more fun to think about every character. Maybe a television show would be a better medium for this
Fuck that
Make a movie about the emperors sons, that would be pure kino
don't forget the daughter as well
Why are people so obsessed with these games? Mass Effect is better as a story and as a game. KOTOR2 hasn't aged well and 1 almost definitely hasn't, either. There are all kinds of things that wouldn't transfer well to a screen--the protagonist would eventually have to be either good or evil and the viewer wouldn't have the investment in that choice that a player would have unless the story were sufficiently well written as a script, which it almost certainly wouldn't be because KOTOR is just as derivative as NuWars (Kylo Ren is a better villain and a more interesting Dark Jedi than anyone in KOTOR or KOTOR2, btw). You just don't notice it because of the nostalgia glasses and the fact that you haven't already heard EXAAAACTLY this story in the OT or Prequels.
>even more mary sue than rey
I'll pass
>olivia munn
go back to Sup Forums you plebbit tier fagget.
