Didn't know old-school comics had that kind of fanservice.

...

...

Early McFarlane was literally Fanservice: the Artist.

I don't even know how to respond to this

How much does a tank weigh? Spider-Man at this time was listed in OHTTMU as being able to lift 10 tons.

Forgive me, the artstyle looks fucking ancient.

Paladin needs his own TV show.

He's lifted a train car from the same era, same artist too. His power fluctuated a lot before the 90s hit.

>tfw you're old enough to remember when this 'ancient' art style was the Hot New Thing

...

...

Spidey has been capable of lifting far beyond 10 tons when under stress and his adrenaline kicks in.

When he's been pushed really hard, he's pulled off 50+ ton feats before. However, if they are really crazy, he is usually shown being quite sore or overextended for a time afterward.

You know what I love about McFarlane's run? Going by the art, it could have been edgy, but at its core it's good ole Spidey fun. Hell, Venom's first appearance was a bit silly.

Silver Sable needs her own show too... on cable.
Because nipples

Imagine working this hard to get both tits into that skinny panel.

Here's a moment from 10 years later when he lifts a New York subway car. A single car is easily 30-40 tons.

Peter holds back a LOT. I wouldn't be surprised if the 10 ton limit was actually just what his peers thought he could do at the time of his first appearances.

You could be on to something there. The 10-ton limit might have been what Reed Richards clocked him at in the FF's initial tests of Spidey.

End if issue #1. Is there enough interest to keep going?

Breast reduction just for more fanservice. Damn you McFarlane.

Does Spidey bone her?

You'll have to keep reading to find out!

Don't tease the poor fool by getting his hopes up.

Ha, Aunt May dying. Like that'd ever happen.

A fool can dream. ;_;

Spidey knows where his priorities are.

Keep going OP, is Paladin in the rest of the arc?

Issue #4 featuring the Big Blue Nerd.

His adjectiveless Spider-Man run is similar. He basically trash-talks "edgy" types (Ghost Rider, Wolverine) through Peter's thought balloons over a course of 6 or so issues.
I kinda think that Todd did understand what made Spider-Man work, and restrained his inner edgelord when he worked on Spider-Man stuff. The Felix the Cat everywhere is what I never could understand.
