Because Harley's "redemption" has been fucking terrible. It removes and and all depth she had as Joker's lackey and turned her into a worse Deadpool, with even fewer redeeming qualities. It doesn't help that she never actually regrets any of her actions yet gets everything handed to her on a silver platter anyway. It reeks of corporate mandates rather than any sort if genuine character development.

The problem is not that it is "exposing the Joker" or whatever. it's that it is written like complete shit, and the characters don't act like they should. Superman spends time deconstructing Joker like some smarmy douchebag writing a college essay on the Joker, Batman let's Joker plant bombs in Metropolis "as a test" for Superman, and the Joker is too "b-b-but I'm still c-cool" to the point of being a strawman. I'm not a huge Jokerfag or whatever, but he wouldn't act so buttblasted about the whole thing.

The writing is the primary issue is the dialogue though, it is legitimately the worst I have read besides some America Chavez stuff. The whole thing just comes off as Max Landis wanking himself off and using Superman as a super powered supercool self-insert.

The Landis story is bad, but thinking of it as a prequel to the Injustice Regime universe makes it better to me.

-Joker being so assblasted that he decides to go further in blowing up Metropolis and tricking Superman into killing his wife and unborn child
-Batman being fucking stupid enough to "test" Superman by allowing the Joker into Metropolis is not far off from the other stupid decisions Injustice Batman makes
-Superman spending time deconstructing Joker like some smarmy douchebag writing a college essay on the Joker sounds like a Superman with not much better to do... which actually makes sense for a Superman who doesn't have to worry about Luthor.
-As far as I recall Luthor isn't in the story so you can imagine that it's "Good" Luthor from the Injustice regime universe.

I would probably say the one that made me mad the most was Angela Queen of Hel 3 or 4, the one with the panel of Bor being censored. Now people hate that issue because of that panel, I hate that issue because it brings back Skurg the Executioner, I heard the Simonson run overrater but that issue is not, when Skurg went it a was a brilliantly death. One of Marvel best done ever. To see him brought back as canon fodder for Angela to fight and to prop up her girlfriend was so insulting to me. If your just going to shit on him leave him alone, if people remember him they like him to be respected. One of the reason the new crop of writers suck is that if you don't like seeing old character be shat on it makes you see the new character as really fan fictiony in the worst way.
