So was the explaination that, when the time came and they all died, no matter the time, they metup in the Afterlife and moved on together to the "next life"? As in, the Island was real, everything was real. It's just that some died earlier, some died later, but since there's no "time" in... that place, they all met up after their deaths and moved on together.
Is that it?
Easton Gray
tfw faraday, miles and charlotte not present because they are still haunting the island
Levi Thompson
Yes that's exactly it.
I can't believe people still don't get the ending to this day.
I really hope it doesn't come back.
Lincoln Peterson
Charlotte would require a soul to have an afterlife
Easton White
The most prominent fan theory since season 1 is that they are either in heaven, hell, or purgatory. The creators denied it adamantly. Turns out the most cheap cop-out was the one that was true.
I particularly like that there are no black people in heaven, because every black on the damn show took issue with either that they weren't paying them enough or that they killed off the black characters too quickly. Of course always bitching that your bit part isn't paying as much as the leads is a quick way to get your character killed on any show.
Cameron Hughes
Didn't the Eko guy demand 5 times his original pay to return for the Church scene? And yeah, I liked that they were all mostly S1 characters (plus folks like Desmond, Libby, etc), minus WAAAAAAAAAALT & "DEY TOOK MUH SON".
I liked the ending desu. It was warm and honestly uplifting. It ended on a good note.
Dylan Morris
Faraday was best character that had such a shitty death.
I forgot how Miles died.
Brody Anderson
libby and ana lucia went nuts filming in hawaii that's why they got capped
Jeremiah Perry
Imagine if there was a good, actually satisfying conclusion.
Grayson Gonzalez
Eh, why not? They all found each other and moved on to the next stage together. It's sweet. Why didn't you like it?
Dylan Ward
Libbydid come back for the finale though. And AFAIR,Eko's guy dropped out of the show as well. Which is ironic when he asked for a bigger pay to return for a cameo.
Dominic Nelson
It was all a dream
Cameron Wilson
>MUH CHRISTIAN REFERENCE MUCH DEPTH
Cameron Gray
he dropped out because his adoptive parents died in a planecrash IIRC
Fucker got more roles later on and I guess thought his net worth would have been worth it.
Nicholas Rodriguez
>adoptive parents died in a planecrash WEW!
Luis Green
Wait they denied it was purgatory?
Leo Wilson
yes, the island happened, it wasn't heaven/hell/purgatory the whole time like some idiots still say, only the sort of 'sideways' flash in the final season was.
everyone lived their lives, died whenever they died, but the island and everything that happened there was the most significant thing in their lives, so that's what they were all tied to and became their jumping off point in the afterlife together.
Liam Lee
you mustve not read that article in word up magazine
Dominic Myers
I knew you were alive, Biggie.
David Gomez
>Wait they denied it was purgatory? Yup. Adamantly, in virtually every interview with the show creators. That's why everyone was speculating these very bizarre fan theories because the most kidney-punchingly obvious answer is one they would always deny.
I think, perhaps they didn't want to go that route, and they didn't really have an outline for how the whole series would play out, so they really wanted an ending that was more clever than basically "it was all a dream" copout. (I'm aware it was purgatory, but that was just as shitty an ending).
Charles Thomas
during the run of most of the show, yes, only half of the final season actually was purgatory.
Leo Evans
>it was purgatory But it wasn't Purgatory. Everything that happened was real. The Flash-Sideways were not real, but everything else was.
Asher Bailey
faraday’s death was one of the greatest. killed by his own mother... so much for those time paradoxes, huh
Ayden Scott
Okay, maybe it was a shitty death but it was a shame the character was gone for half a season and then he gets killed while you don't really have much closure for him (IIRC)
Carson Jones
Y'Know, for such a popular show, barely anybody talks about it these days. I'm surprised OP couldn't even get a discussion about the ending doing.
Easton Clark
>Muslim in a church where are the 72 virgins?
Ethan Clark
Spot on
Julian Wright
you had. he lost charlotte, then tried to save her only coming to conclusion that you cannot change anything. his mother also understood it so she sent him to the island being completely aware of what’s gonna happen. dead is dead, whatever happened happened
