Critics are always wro-

>critics are always wro-
oh

So what's the verdict?
Monkino or 'apeshit?

You think that's bad? Look up Chicken Run.

why audience didn't like it?
it was quite cool i think

it was obviously made by disney

it really was, I unironically believe it was the last actual piece of "Cinema" to ever come out.

BECAUSE Americans love the original stop motion classic.

>King Kong movie
>first hour is Adrien Brody on a boat
I liked it though

It's a terrible movie

>chick loves a monkey
shit movie, worst kong

it was much much better than Kong Skull Island
AFAIK people liked this movie, didn't know it was 50/50 for normies

You need to go back

I can't believe I sat there for three hours just to hear Jack Black say "It was beauty that killed the beast".

enjoy your ice skating monkey flick

Retards that walked out after the first third. I have a hard time finding time to rewatch it because of the length but when I can it's worth it.

Learn english or fuck off

How can you not like Chicken Run?

it was okay but
>it was too long
>the "love" story feels forced
>the ice skating scene is retarded
>it is just a remake that brings nothing new to the table

Who was in the wrong here?

Underrated

What the hell, that's a good movie.

Damn great in the first viewing. A bit too long in the second, but still great.

Ask the audience

oh

Why do people care about the Tomatometer? I find the average rating more useful.

Arguably nobody. The movies' boring and terrible, but it has moments where it's interesting, albeit only if you like style.

Critics have more informed opinions on average, but they are also more suceptible to groupthink and disconnect from the visceral reasons a picture is good or bad.

Its not that they are always wrong, its that there opinions are valueless, affected or tainted.

What's wrong with u faggot?
U r on WWW.Sup Forums which means "World Wide Web".
Guy made understandable (although grammatically incorrect) statement, while u did not contribute in any sensible way other than getting triggered by someone's will to expand knowledge. Learn 2 internet or GTFO.

>there's too much talking and not enough smashing

I saw it in theaters when it came out (13 fucking years ago already ?) and don't remember much aside the actress being somewhat hot and the planes scene at the end going on for fucking forever.
Is there anything else to it ? Is it actually worth rewatching ?

>33,766,410
Rotten used to be a lot more popular

Because it was long and slow and audiences don't like that kind of movie. Of course, modern critics hate that shit too, so I wouldn't expect critics to look so kindly on it today.

Was that movie also review bombed by alt-right russian trolls, /teevee/?

"it wasnt planes, it was beauty that killed the beast"

No pretty sure it was the planes and thousand foot drop that killed him

8/10

Long as fuck in the beginning, and gave me unwanted feels in the end, but still great movie overall. The t rex fight was really awesome as well, but I still prefer the new Kong over this one

I'm honestly surprised the critical rating is as high as it is even though I liked it. They were quite unforgiving of capeshit back then.

Because people are retarded and think the Tomatometer is an average rating.

I still think it's dumb that 50% is counted as "Rotten". That's literally the definition of a love it or hate it movie.

Pic related was the only reason why it wasn't too bad.

The only memorable part of this movie was the giant bug part. Everything else is just forgettable schlock.

I first thought this was a dick, not a jellyfish.

I'm not gay though.

>critics hated this and audiences love it

Occasionally it goes both ways so who knows?

Pros
>T-Rex fights
>Decent character development in a big monster movie
>The bit with the bugs is still probably the most visceral scene I've ever watched in a film
>CGI still holds up
>Jamie Bell is a great twink
>islanders are genuinely terrifying when they first meet them
Cons
>Too long
>takes ages to get the island

Hell, I'd watch it again

>Naomi Watts
>somewhat hot

I watched this after it first released on dvd and loved it. Shit is genuinely a good movie so rewatch it.

The movie is a mixed bag. So really both are right

teevee love cape more than ape

>tfw you catch this on TV and know what you're gonna be watching for the next 7 hours

This, I don't even mind the bloated run time because of commercials because I clean or whatever. The videogame is actually pretty fucking based too.

The movie is garbage. I don't understand how Any one could enjoy that crap.

Well huh, I never realized critics hated this movie. I just assumed they did since it seems almost universally liked among mainstream audiences even today.

I'll never understand the too long connplaint for movies as long as it has good visuals, decent story, and doesn't waste any of its runtime.
