Prove you were a 90s kid
Prove you were a 90s kid
Batmunk
I saw The Phantom Menace in theaters
Darkwing Duck's roster of villains was almost as good as Spiderman or Batman and far better than the Avengers.
Prove me wrong.
That was good but nothing compared to seeing the special editions on the big screen. Even with stupid shit like Greedo shooting first seeing those on the big screen was momentous as a child. And I'd seen them on VHS before.
Phantom Menace was exciting but just not the same level.
saw TMNT and He man master of the universe (both cartoon and real live) on teather

my mom took my older cousin and i to see Jurassic Park in theaters. She snuck in hot dogs and candy, and my little cousin saw a sign that said "no outside food or drinks" and pointed out the sign to my mom at the ticket booth. He cried like a little baby during the T-Rex scene.
Also i probably had every skeleton warriors toy.

i think i still have a raf one in my garage somewhere
>Also i probably had every skeleton warriors toy.
Is Skeleton Warriors popular on Sup Forums?
I've seen a couple references in the last two thread but absolutely no one knew about it when I was a kid. I still have the entire card set in my garage, minus one suspended animation card.
...
>MFW I'm so fucking old I saw the non-special editions in the theater.
fap?
eh it always gets posted in 90s nostalgia threads but i don't know if there are many people old enough to have actually watched/remember it.
Garagemind
cool, always wanted one but my mom accidentally got a non flip-up TMNT watch. was pretty bummed out lol.

rocky. loves. emily.
Of all the tired shit they reboot that one I might actually be up for.
Though audiences today might be as uninterested as they were back then.
She was one of the first times I remember feeling horny as a kid. It was either her or Little Mermaid. I distinctly recall being disappointed when Ariel became a human, because she was wearing more clothes, and I couldn't have been any older than 6 at the time.
I had the six armed guy, but beyond that, I knew nothing about it. I just pretended that he was a new Spider-Man villain.
>polly pocket for boys
jk i had hella mighty max toys. pic related and dragon castle were the coolest.
that bitch
too obscure probably, even though it's pretty badass

Does anyone remember watching a show, I believe it was street fighter, where the main character was through a field of huge spikes? I have always had this memory but don't know if it was real or just a dream.
I think he was carrying someone through the spike field.
This just makes me think of playing outside on summer nights, and rushing in to watch Ren and Stimpy. Good shit.
90s was a mistake really.

also z bots were my shit

are you the nigger larper from the last thread
C'mon and zoom-a, zoom-a, zoom-a ZOOM!
I was apparently a huge Mighty Max fan at the time, because in hindsight, I had a shitload of them. I had that guy, the big jet one, and the one that kind of looks like castle greyskull. And out of , I had the skull on on upper left, the spider, the dragon skull thing, the snake, the alien on the upper right, the shark, the scorpion, and the cyclops. So weird that I was so obsessed with something, and yet have next to no recollection of.

kill yourself
You’re fucking existence was a mistake really.

Best captain coming through
exo quad was dope too, don't remember much of the cartoon but toys were cool.
my most collected toys were predator, aliens, and batman. i was super spoiled as a kid, i wish my mom had kept all my shit.
fuuuck i was so disappointed that there was no flaming skull in this show. i used to watch it all the time and just be disappointed
no just a californian
But I'm an 80's kid
Literally every single store sold POGS in 1994. The random Asian super market, the video rental store where you'd pay $5 to reach into a jar and pull as many POGS out as possible (I did it multiple times), the mall, I even won a shit load of them at the mall arcade. Tons of bootlegs of everything you could ever think of. Even OJ Simpson.
Tell me something I don't know, homeboi.
Though really, as a 90s kid, 90s was objectively trash. A hollow decade of loud meaningless things.
Go to bed, Bill.
i also got this for my birthday or some shit one year.
2XL, the educational cassette tape robot. I remember it asked a question about vampires and the voice got spooky and I don't think I ever played with it again lol
think i had all of these except for the sabretooth.
nice
mandatory drugs episode where some character's parents find a joint and have the talk. remember thinking what the fuck is that
>That episode where they do the Psycho parody, and she's in the shower singing Elvis.
Between Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, Gadget, Fievel's sister, that female chicken from Rock-a-Doodle, Babs Bunny, that fairy chick from Ferngully, the human and gargoyle chicks from Gargoyles, that chick from Talespin, Bobby's Mom, Harley Quinn, Rogue, Psylocke, Mary Jane, and the Chipettes, I was a horny little bastard.
The password to the Nintendo Treehouse is "Diddy"
hey me too
USA Up All Night was the best. Weird Science and Duckman followed by some really, really obscure exploitation movie, boarding on soft core. Hosted by Gilbert Gottfried!
>t. hentai watcher
I saw it in 3d
also:
They were the fidget spinners of their time.
pogs was a game. pogs was not just "watch thing spin and that's it"
Fucking soyboy.
"The Ghost Next Door" completely ruined the shock at the ending of Nicole Kidman's 2001 movie "The Others" kek
Watched USA up all nite for no other reason than hoping for some softcore.
It would have lower budget Porkys type shit with nude scenes cut out.
...
>pogs was a game.
Barely.
goosebump books sucked ass, and so did the show.
No, they were more like a gateway to gambling. They got banned really quick at schools because the point of the game is to gather POGS into a pile in even numbers, using a plastic or metal slammer to knock them over and which ever flipped, you got to keep. All the kids cried about losing their POGS so they were banned.
>fidget spinner are entertainment
Vanishingly.
>and yet have next to no recollection of.
i remember one that wasnt included in that picture, it was a purple zombie hand with the index finger sticking out. cant remember if it was actual mm or a rip-off of it.

DAE remember when you figured out how to record over cassette tapes? I felt like a god and made possibly the shittiest mixtape to have ever existed.
also, reminder that the Street Sharks 'Moby Lick' figure was a sex toy.
"tongue twisting, water blasting action!"
there was a knob in the back you moved and his tongue just fellated the shit out of everything.
Iddqd
I got the Pokémon Sneak Peek vhs in the mail.
Also, I remember everybody at school talking about the 1st episode of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the next day after it aired
people just don't understand pogs, man
i mean the game itself sucked. but we liked it because of the gambling and collectability aspect. it was a high stakes game. we'd stack up our pogs and whoever flipped the most had their prize of pogs and sometimes slammers. and everyone was playing so there was always someone there to challenge you.
and imagine every store had pogs. you'd go to the record store and see the rolling stones or guns and roses pogs. you'd go to KB toys and there'd be sonic the hedgehog or mortal kombat pogs. tv shows had pogs. it was fun because your collection was like your own personality
Best movies, best music, best cartoons, best games.
Imagine how loud and meaningless those things are today compared to best decade.
I remember not seeing the beginnings of most of the vhs tapes i had because my mom would just copy tapes she rented from the video store and there was always poor tracking at the start.
they were just casual fun i suppose, i only read a couple, "the ghost next door" stuck out because of the twist ending, which is similar to the ending of "the others" movie
i was more interested in john bellairs books, pic related, among others
I remember finding one at a thrift store around that time.
M.U.S.C.L.E.
>tape
Everyone got that. Did you get all of these?
Oh God yes.
Up All Night was the fucking best. I remember watching neutered versions of the first couple Toxic Avenger movies on there, talking my parents into renting them for me, and then being shocked with how fucking violent they are.
There was also a local show around that same time that came on Saturday nights on my local Fox affiliate called "The Only Thing On" that was basically a couple of dudes hanging out in the station's studio, doing little skits, and showing whatever old horror/monster movies the station had tapes of. It's how I discovered stuff like Troll, Rawhead Rex, Godzilla 1985, and Terrorvision. It was like a proto-Monstervision, Mystery Science Theater 3000 or Best of the Worst.
Literally worst movies (b decade), worst pop music, ok caroons. Great games sure, happened to be the golden era.
also remember thinking i'd never even try anything of the sort and that these kids were nuts
...
...
I had the two pack pencil topper set with Blastoise and Pikachu.
>during reading time in elementary school i would literally only ever read goosebumps
>fucking loved it
>one day in 4th grade go for another goosebumps
>teacher stops me
>says i've been reading too much goosebumps and wants to me to pick something else
>pick out the schools copy of the hobbit
>fell in love with middle earth after that
>read lotr not long after but 5th grade so i couldnt really grasp it
>still loved the hobbit though
>a few years later Fellowship of the Ring comes out in theaters
good times

I loved those shirts.
I greatly preferred the star trek ones.

ok now we know for sure you're trolling
>then a decade later a stupid goosebump remake movie comes out
bad times
that's cool though. i actually liked some of the
"give yourself goosebumps" choose your own adventure books. always had to save that last page cause you could die
