If you have the hdd space its worth it since the quality will be better for a 4k to 1080p downscale.

It's just too much of a concern to have. Especially considering a lot of sites are very threatening to those who don't respect the guidelines (e.g. you will get b& along with the person who invited you if you slack too much).
I don't have a desktop pc, my SSD can only hold so many films. If every time I download something I have to keep it on my disk for months in order to clear my balance, it just becomes unsustainable. I also don't like having external HD's attached at all times.
Since private trackers don't really have anything that can't be found on public trackers, I much prefer being able to download torrents and feel free to delete them, or archive them whenever I feel like it.
