Jesus, it look as good as Bladerunner 2.
No it doesn't. It looke like someone trying to copy Blade Runner. I mean it still looks OK, just not great.
I like the book and will give it a try.
Great for TV series.
blade runner is already shit so they cant make it more shitty
I liked the book and Dichen Lachman is in this so I'm sold.
Another dystopian sci-fi...
Is fun sci-fi eye popping a thing?

Look like shit
Care to explain yourself, mate?
Its a book series about a half jap mercenary who is just a mind.
>sleeves

>altered carbon
I don't recall.
will it have as much sex the book?
remind me what is the difference between a Methusal and a regular stack
>I don't recall
THIS - nobody knows what "altered carbon" means.
why? name few others
The trailers look too OTT. Where did all this super strength come from? Punching through walls, knocking people flying, etc. - the bodies were more 'peak-human condition' Cap-like in the books, with added anti-rad, built-in body armor and stuff. They're hitting like tanks in these trailers.
It is a highly probable future.
The books had a more 'clean' shiny and chrome background look. This does appear to be copying the neon-grimy Bladerunner aesthetics.
Meths have practically limitless funds so they get new bodies regularly and don't age at all, regular stacks typically get young bodies(at great expense) and age with them until they die of old age/get a new stack.
Most people don't bother after a few because the cost is so high.
Meths have money for clones for regular body swap (resleeve) - so they literally don`t age, and regularly use memory backups for safety reason. Regular humans live all their years in one body and age + their memory stored in "stacks", they can be physically destroyed for eternal death.

my memory is fuzzy but I recall a lot of implants. he does go full terminator few times in the book

it did? I recall the rich parts being shiny but poor parts looked like a sleezy sex dungeon, the rest looked rusty or sandy
>chain smoking ageing alcoholic cop sleeve
>is a beautiful young athletic man
They missed the fucking point.
>what is the "altered carbon" means
I think it's the stack itself, it's made of something called altered carbon as far as I remember. Was a while.
