>The star wars prequels were good movie-
*blocks your path with pointless and lame filler that nobody asked for*
The star wars prequels were good movie-
Notice how nobody replied? It's because your opinion sucks lol. Pod racing is the coolest world building in all of starwars. You're welcome for the bump nerd.
...
The Gungans were trash and Anakin being a child instead of a teenager was a mistake, but the undersea monsters and podracing were pure kino.
>go through Naboo's core
>it's a normal-ass ocean all the way through, no lava or anything
how come Naboo isn't a dead world given that it has no geologic activity?
Better than anything in disney wars by miles.
The sound design of the podracing redeems the entire scene alone
Podracing is kino and your thread is pointless and lame filler that nobody asked for
Faggot.
>he thought the medieval fish people literally meant the core of the planet
Stick to the disney mvies kid.
literally the best part of the movie
>dude they didn't mean what they literally said
literally the best part of the prequels
FTFY
...
It's not filler, it's plot-necessary and it exhibits Anakin's force-assisted skill
Podracing is the best part of the whole movie you pleb.
>Stormtroopers did this. These blast points are too accurate for sand people.
>Sand people then later shown hitting bullseyes on moving podracers from hundreds of meters away
What did Obi-Wan mean by this?
they were just firing blindly at the podracers
Star Wars is space fantasy.
How fast were these things?
Now this is pod-racing
Cultural Marxism among the sand people that devalued the importance of martial skill, leading to a degradation of the sand people's skill with blaster rifles.
the camp that Anakin would end up massacring was actually a marksmen convention, all the good shots out of all the Sand People had turned up to hang out with old friends, violently rape Shmi, compete in contests, generally have a good Sand time. So when they all got killed that was it, all the Sand People who could shoot were dead and the rest were basically tarded.
>how come Naboo isn't a dead world given that it has no geologic activity?
Explained in the novelization.
Naboo has some weird plasma core they harvest energy with and sell it to the rest of the universe.
Remember that weird location Obi Wan and Qui Gon fought Maul? That's the facility they use to harvest the energy. It was also what the trade federation was blockading the planet for.
>Implying that Pod Racing isn't one of the most kino moments in all of star wars
>Naboo has some weird plasma core they harvest energy with and sell it to the rest of the universe.
but plasma is really hot
it's really hot water, and so dense it can perform the role of lava in geological activity
there, pulled one shitty non-canon dumb explanation worth of a highly detailed wookiepedia article
STAR WARS WAS NEVER HIGH ON SCIFI YOU FAGS
and yeah prequels were dumb shit
Their tech is obviously more advanced than ours.
How many other star systems in our galaxy have you traveled to?
then how is it in your blood
They're inbred hillbillies. Like Trump supporters. First few generations weren't too fucked up yet.
>Sup Forums is now unironically defending podracing
>Naboo has some weird plasma core they harvest energy with and sell it to the rest of the universe.
LOL, the lengths EU sperglords go to to justify George's BS
If it wasn't in there, then you would have complained about the episode 4 dialog about Anakin not being true anymore.
What are you talking about, pod racing and muh ebin lightsaber fight have always been referenced as "the only good things from episode I."
Also the pod racing game on the N64 was fucking tight.
>EU sperglords
It's from the official novelization of the movie which have always been considered cannon. Due to the differences in format you can dump a lot more exposition in a book than in a movie.
>he doesn't like podracing
What a faggot.
podracing was always good
They don't deserve to be the cultural punchline they are and have a good story overall. However, much of Phantom Menace, most of Attack of the Clones and quite a bit of Revenge of the Sith is fairly bad. I don't have as much of a problem with the writing, the characters or the acting as most seem to have but the effects aged like milk which makes the action sequences, of which there a lot, feel lifeless and unengaging. Which isn't exactly desirable for action movies.
>it's a "user treats Star Wars as science fiction and complains the science is flawed" episode
Star Wars was never science fiction.
The fact you treat it as such either means you're retarded, or have never seen Star Wars.
Maybe both.
kek'd
>Lucas' version of filler is some of the most inventive and technically intricate action scenes in cinema
>Rian's version of filler is spinning off a half-dozen plotlines that have nothing to do with the overall story, incompetent action scenes, no invention visually and they each have a nonending that has no impact on the story
I don't think anyone here says the prequels are "great movies" Star Wars isn't a great franchise but they're head and shoulders above Disney's Marvel Studios Presents A Star Wars in terms of creativity and filmmaking
For all their flaws, and they are very flawed, they are much better than the new star wars
