How could they take such an interesting and iconic character like the Penguin, and put him into a semi-good looking actor?
The penguin needs to be an ugly motherfucker, that's what made Danny Devito's Penguin so amazing. Robin Taylor's portrayal looks like he belongs on Boardwalk Empire or Mad Men.

Penguin is literally the only character that makes Gotham worth watching and they sideline him over and over again in favour of cartoon shit.

Gotham is a complete reimagining of the batmanverse and in this case the penguin is actually great. Though I would like to see him being more brutal, like if he had actually killed the kid.

They just need a movie that's 90 minutes of Penguin's fat, ugly self pounding Catwoman into a fresh fucked coma.

For some reason I'm still watching it, and one of the only things I like about it at all is how far away it's gotten from the accepted mythos. I'm a bit worried that it's going to force itself to start to conform to canon even when it makes no sense (ie. "Selena & Bruce both get amnesia and forget they knew each other as kids!" or "Barbara is sane again and her and Jim patch things up!").
