Jaguar tour in America...the lads are hitting their stride. Also, the music seems to be getting better. Amazon needs to let them loose on their catalog. S2 is really becoming, lads.

dont know why they are doing car adverts desu. pure filler for a show that isn't a car show but 3 berks doing stupid shit.

S1 was a bad Top Gear ripoff and S2 is a regular Top Gear ripoff. Not that I'm complaining though.

based kiefer is a pretty good driver. I wish they would stop with the literally who guests though.

I watched the first episode but got distracted by other things. Have they gotten around to the special episodes yet? It'll probably be the point where I jump back in and catch up.

and now they have 2 guests, 2 laps, it takes up too much time, it was already the worst part of top gear

I watched half of the first episode in S1, and I haven't touched it since.

Honestly, TG was already practically dead. Having to go to 2 minutes worth of effort to torrent the episodes now is far too much hassle for a lame knock-off.

Have they at least done a fun "tour" of a country or something yet? Maybe I'll watch that.

it would be fine if there were two decent guests. I had no idea who that welsh guy was.

better still, amazon should throw their big budget at a full road trip special like the top gear ones. such comfy TV.

Yeah, piss on the Celebrity Face-Off but the rest has been good in S2...almost like late Top Gear. S2 is way beyond S1.

The grand tour is grand.

Its a good ole tv show and it works. I wish they could let clarkson off the chain politically but I understand why they dont.

His few gafs are enough I guess. But my goodness what a fine thing it would be to see him let loose.

The new celebrity bit was a mistake.

>Only literally whos
>Takes up 15 minutes
>Boring track
>Boring car
>No leaderboard

Brain crash was stupid, but at least it was over in two minutes.

Oh wait, they actually have Jack Fucking Bauer in this episode. This will be the first time since episode 2 I don't skip that part.

I've still not finished the first season of TGT yet, I like it, but I find it boring when they're just being stupid for the camera, it's just not funny.

The funniest parts of old TG were where it all fell apart when they were actually trying to achieve something, how staged TGT is a shame, the last episode I watched was the one where they were trying to turn old cars into reefs and it really wasn't that funny what they were doing, it was all too staged, or just them intentionally acting retarded.

S1 is pretty trash but they really upped their game and listened to the criticisms. Ot feels like TG again. They did a whole unscripted gimmick as well just to meme all the fucks who complained about too much scripting...fantastic really

It got a lot better after episode 1, the trip where they build cars out of sustainable material is pure kino

This season is so much better than the previous. The first one it worked enough, but they overused the same jokes to the point it wasn't funny. Now it seems they got free of the annoying parts and are getting on with it pretty well. They still making fun of Top Gear here and there, but not in a clumsy way like the previous season (it seemed that the whole point of that season was to banter Top Gear). The only point that felt like they were dragging it a bit too much was the "unscripted" episode.
Celebrity Face Off is still the worst part of the show, but at the very least it's not the whole joke over and over again like Celebrity Brain Crash; the track's interesting for such a short circuit like that, but the guests are really cheap.
I'm really enjoying this season.

Still, since I'm not a brit, I couldn't get the joke of jaguar drivers being thieves: why's that?

>the trip where they build cars out of sustainable material is pure kino

But this was awful, the buggies in Africa was good though.

>I liek carz

Just watched the latest episode and so far this season is 1000x better than the first season. My hopes are that the lads give us something awesome like they did in Vietnam or Africa.

That's ep11 (in S2). They have to deliver fish across Mozambique

Nah, I just like watching 3 fat middle aged men doing silly things.

Agreed. I fast forward through that crap.

>it would be fine if there were two decent guests
Not many want to touch it after the abysmal first season, which has permanently tainted its brand despite season 2 being really good.

surely money talks. it cost them £5m an episode and we get the singer from the kaiser chiefs and michael ball.

Celebrities only go on shows that that to promote their shit, since TGT has no public viewer figures no one knows how worthwhile the effort is. The only way they'll get big names regularly is if they become undeniably huge which I don't even know how you'd track that.

what was kiefer promoting? pay just about anyone a six figure sum for a half day of filming and the chance to boot a car around a track and they will agree.

Speaking of listening to the criticisms, who's the female driver they have? I'm half suspicious it's that German woman they had on Top Gear a couple of times, the rally driver.

Isn't his show on Amazon now? He probably did it for a discount.

Have they got rid of The American yet? Wish they'd get someone else to drive cars around the circuit, Stig was miles better.

Abbie Eaton, some English driver.
Yeah.

They did, yes. It's a woman, but the joke now seems to be that they don't refer to her by name, make jokes, or do anything Stig-like. Just "let's see how it does around the track" and then cut straight to it, occasionally mentioning that the driver is female.

They legally can't do anything Stig-like. So their best bet is to just treat her like a tool and not make her into a gimmick since nothing would work like the Stig.

Good stars segment. Laps looked really fast and fun.

I liked that american bear guy.
