Best Costume/Character designs in Super Hero fiction

Which would you say are the absolute best costume/character designs of superheroes out there? Speaking purely visually.
I personally always thought that classic Ms Marvel is a beautiful design - simple, cool and sexy.

Kamala's design is absolutely adorable, especially when drawn by that first artist. A lot of others always give her a nasty looking face when in reality she should be a cute.

Yet to be topped for civilian clothes style costumes.

Funny thing: I have these exactly same clothes (the jacket and the goggles) and once I seriously thought about cosplaying Jack Knight.

Does her power leech work on non-mutants? Because I could go for seeing a hulked out Rogue throw down with She-Hulk.

I like Captain Marvel's look, and his cape particularly stands out for me.

- White w/ gold trim to nicely contrast his red suit
- Over one shoulder for a e s t h e t i c asymmetry
- Flowing but not overly big enough to snag on shit

I love when hero spandex is mixed together with ethnic designs. Adds a lot of flavour to a character imo.

Any Iron Man suit, not necessarily this one.

Superheroes aren't supposed to be realistic. I think that's the fundamental flaw of the "practical" shtick - it misses the point of the genre. Superheroes are supposed to be flamboyant. Superheroes are supposed to be colorful. Superheroes are supposed to be sexy.

It depends on the character.
Punisher it works because his character is a hyper obsessive vet who uses guns to shoot people. He's only a superhero because he's ocassionally shooting at supervillains but at the end of the day doing him up like a semi-realistic guy who just bought out a surplus store works with his character. Just be sure to put skulls on it.

I don't know why, but female characters in leotards or lingerie-like costumes(Emma Frost and Black Queen come to mind) are my favorite.

This was a pretty good update of her original costume.

It looks great when drawn by the right person. The boots are still awful, though.

I don't read much marvel, but is "Captain marvel" Carol Denvers the same person as "Ms marvel" Carol Denvers?

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I love Wanda's costume.

She's always absorbed non-mutant powers. They flat out said in her first stories that the only beings whose powers she can't absorb were those of robots since what they have doesn't really count as skin.
