I renounce my promise to kill Lagertha and there will be no War, I can't stand the thought of killing another brother

>I renounce my promise to kill Lagertha and there will be no War, I can't stand the thought of killing another brother
*five minutes later*
>YOU ARE NO LONGER MY BROTHER, I CAN NEVER FORGIVE LAGERTHA.
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Seriously what did he mean by this? did I miss something? it was like he went and had a talk with Palpatine during the commercial break.

It was the worse written episode of all time. Fucking kill lagertha already she is so shit.

>I can't stand the thought

Well

He was being Sup Forums and lagartha and co were the normies. He was trolling them not thinking they would take him seriously. Next thing he knows they are full buying intobit so he laughed internally up until the right moment when he could call them all underage faggots then he took mental photos of the exasperated expresssions at his completely politically incorrect behavior to jerk off to at a later stage.

If that is the case that entire sequence was filmed and acted incredibly poorly. Ivar's actor displayed sincerity and even defeat in accepting the truce and what seemed like genuine regret at killing Sigurd. There was no hint or context clue from a scene prior in the episode that Ivar is just trolling and it ends up making Ivar seem more like an angry Bipolar autist than some mad genius that likes to fuck with people. And it served him zero tactical benefit to do it. if anything it actually made Lagertha and Bjorn's position better since he just displayed to his best warriors and Harald that he is unstable and can never be trusted. goddamn this episode was botched.

The Cripple and his Dad were the only good characters in this SJW shitshow.

>. Ivar's actor displayed sincerity
You mean he was a good liar?

That's one way to look at it, but considering up until this moment he has struggled to contain his anger at even the most minor of slights and pretty much worn his emotions on his sleeve I find it extremely hard to believe he would suddenly become an oscar worthy lord of deception.

I was confused too by what he meant by that

It was like they started writing the episode to include a trick, but then decided no they don't want too.

I guess it was a joke? The episode is titled The Joke.. hah hah Ivar... how about win the battle next time

Not that it's his fault writers made a historically undefeated person lose to a fictional feminist army

Unless, of course, he was merely pretending to wear his emotions on his sleeve. Has Ivar, dare I even suggest it, perhaps been fooling everyone up until this point?
