I'd like to see a political drama involving the Imperial Ruling Counsel. Such a thing would end up showing us Vidian, as well as Everi Chalis and Prelate Verge from Twilight Company. Sate Pestage and Armand Isard would finally get more than a "were also there."

In a stream, the lead designer of Battlefront 2 said that the cross-era stuff was purely done to show off Rey for E3, and they haven't actually decided if they're going to have it in the final game.

I think it would be fine as a custom server option or something, like the custom matches you can make up in BF1
For quickmatch stuff, or just as a standard rule you have to actively change heroes being locked to their own era would be better, just for the immersion
DLC/updates are all free this time around, so even if they don't show up for a while they won't charge you for them which is for the best
They'll probably show up as a super unit like the Super Battle Droid we saw in the Theed gameplay

Maybe in some party playlist or custom games sure, but not for the main game. Why ruin it for everyone else just to get some weird shit.
Cosmetic microtransactions are very likely (akin to the Titanfall 2 system of paying 3 to 4 pounds for skins and custom decals per Titan), and there might be some loot box bullshit as well
I just want to enjoy some Clone Wars man, I don't want to see Boba and Rey duking it out while I am trying to kill clankers.
Cross-era stuff is perfectly fine for the "party" game modes like Heroes vs Villains. Custom games should have the option too.
But in the main multiplayer modes? They should focus explicitly on an accurate gameplay experience. The gameplay they show off literally opens with scripted cinematics of droids being dropped in, and arresting Clones as you march into the city. So much effort went into the immersion only to-OH LOOK REY.
The plus side when it comes to microtransactions (aside from the free maps and characters) is that games that rely entirely on microtransactions to make a profit post-launch will usually have a LOT of it.
So all of those Clone designs and decals and shit that you're hoping for are likely going to be in the game at some point.

Probably. They haven't even shown a fraction of the weapons in the game apparently. Even the last game had a nice handful.
They even said Hero characters would have interchangeable attacks you can customize too.
So if you want to unlock Rex's gear, and throw on dual blasters and play as Rex, I am willing to bet that this is going to be possible in the game.
How many Hero characters are the expected to be in the game? What would this number be limited with?
