Pretty good.
Why not using a more hyw-like picture? This thread was hard to notice.
Liked the light in the old man face
>those bits of color outside the lines
ayy I do that all the time too
wrote a few more pages of the most fucked up things I can imagine. Been doing alot of research on how men react to rape and torture. Lawrence of Arabia is a gold mine of interesting psychology. So is Archipelago. Thinking about finally reading some Sade for the first time. I don't want to read Sade then lose some of my original ideas. ugh

If your research is mostly men then go with The 120 Days of Sodom.

why even draw
I have a finished storyboard for a surrealist comic I started drawing a few days ago. If will be 40 pages long in total.
Would it be a mistake to publish it as a webcomic if it's just 40 pages. Should I try to get it publised traditionally? I have no idea about these things. Was thinking that maybe I could set up a site to publish it 2 pages a week and then use that site for follow-up projects of a smaller scope.
Does that make sense or is that too discontinuous to sustain interest?
Finally finished a new update. Tell me if anything looks really out of place and I can probably fix it before uploading this everywhere.

Do both. What do you think a webcomic is? They're just comics on the web. There are plenty of self-contained short form comics on the internet as well as infinite never-ending sagas. Many people put their comics up on the internet first before later collecting them in a print edition.
Make your original pages at a size suitable for printing, but also be sure they'll still be legible when scaled down for web viewing.
A boy falls in love with a girl. He is mysteriously gifted with her phone number. He calls her and finds out that she likes him as well. But the next day, she doesn't remember the confession. The girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn’t exist in this universe at all. She is the girl’s alternate universe counterpart, who likes his own alternate self. Hijinks ensue as the two tell each other their darkest secrets to conquer the hearts of their other selves.

Threadly reminder that it has been made into a wiki, a fanfic, a fictionpress story, a manga, a meme, a TV tropes entry, an anime preview, an anime episode, an honest-to-goodness anime movie that's Oscar considered, and a critically acclaimed box office success that's the highest grossing anime film of all time and approved by Shinzo Abe and Cool Japan, so stop talking about it.

Reminder that Makoto Shinkai thinks Keit-Ai is a mistake.
I just uploaded a couple pages from a comic I made not too long ago . If it's ok, I'd like to post them here in hopes of getting some constructive criticism or feedback.

wtf, did coldfusion quit the /hyw/ discord?!?
woah.
He realized what a time sink it was, and declared the time better spent sharing an onahole with his dad.
I can't decide from the webtoon format that allows long comics so I can play around with scrolling effects, or to keep it in traditional page by page format so I can print it physically. And I'm still struggling to pick a resolution.
He finally realized nobody thought it was socially acceptable for a 31 year old man to lust after underaged characters
I have no motivation to draw comic, so I'm drawing porn comic instead
noice
I wanted to join the humble bundle partnership beta so I can get paid to shill games but I got cold feet.
It seems its mostly for youtubers and streamers, but I wonder if bad videogame webcomics are still a thing
The idea of a webcomic has just started to occur to me, but I'm unsure what format to go with. Do most people just go with an a4 page, with regular panel structure, like a single page in a jpg, or do they post them as broken strips that lead into each other?
I remember I had a friend who read Homestuck, and while the story didn't grab me, the use of multimedia was pretty interesting, but while I'm an okay animator, I lack the knowhow of incorporating music or gifs into a story section, which would be particularly difficult if I were posting the comic on a website like Tumblr or whatever most people use.
What are your thoughts, anons?
I do this all the time. Hate fantasy stories, had 5000 words due for a writing course, ended up writing a 10,000 word corruption prose story about elves fucking, with loads of worldbuilding. Uploaded it to HF and then got on with my work with writing block cleared.
I don't know man, I just tried several things until I found out what I was comfortable with.
Just go for it and if you fail horribly just change your penname and start again :DDD
Is it a bad idea to do an ongoing story as your first comic? Its probably better to do short stories, but all my ideas are pretty much long story driven adventure typs things, heros quest ideas inspired by various comics, cartoons, anime or games I liked playing.
As personal experience, just throw shit in and do it
sure why not? People like to fill in the blanks.
Post your work.
now if only we could get rid of rottenstrawbles ayy
I've come from a time when this generals were decent to tell you to at least buy the digital english copy of this (but the psychical spanish one would be neat too) from a comic collective in which i'm involved
It's a kickstarter so don't expect the files in a day like some guy who contributed and then messaged us expecting that.
bonus points for el paso or texas area anons here
Line's done
this looks pretty cool, I'll have to look into it
