Well. Those were vauge and cleaned up for a more all ages audience. When I saw Ward and West at a con they joked about how it was the age of the summer of love and alluded to frolicking with various female fans. Though they kept it fairly clean for the kiddos in the audience. He said alluded to multiple female fans a day still by the trailers.

Rewarding in the sense that he became a beloved figure who even had a revival in popularity over 30 years after his most well known role. Certainly faced a lot of lows after Batman, but he overcame it instead of becoming a bitter has-been.
