I just want to go back to those times, I don't like it here, Sup Forums

If I found a VCR tape odds are it would be nothing but Dragon Ball Z, or late night softcore cable porn.

The people behind Toonami Aftermath might appreciate those commercials.

Is a time machine to go back possible or not?

You don't want to go back in time, you just want to be as happy as you were back then. Nostalgia's a powerful lens, but I can assure you if you were your current age back at the dawn of the millennium, you'd be wanting to go back to the 80s.

Time is a stream that only flows forward. Take a page from Lao Tzu, and be like water. It doesn't fight the current, it moves forward peacefully.

Toonami is what brought the dread and DESPAIR in to me!

just go to Sup Forums

There was recently a thread where people uploaded a bunch of VHS tapes from multiple channels.
There was some Today Show (I think that's what it's called, with Jon Stewart), some Cartoon Network, some Adult Swim

I could find the archive links if you want, I downloaded them but haven't really been through it yet.
I did find the show "Baby Blues!" from them though. It sort of seemed OK, I'd never seen it before and one of the teens has Shego's VA

Nigga, you better upload them tapes

That's it, post your Mega links boys

How well had the tapes endured? Were there tracking lines? Colour problems?

I'll be 28 this year and somehow the period I feel the most nostalgic for is when the Hub existed

Look at youtube. There is tobs if this shit.
Also upload your tapes for likeminded anons.

>tape ends

oh my god you have triggered my emotion of virginity. fuck outta here

Hardcore, dude

On Saturdays we have broadcast archival threads. You should rip them off you can. People would love seeing it. You can get assistance in those threads too.

I dunno about him, but I've been "like water" for almost 24 years now. Passiveness gets you nowhere, and adaptation only makes you seem fine to everyone else. It does nothing to lessen any sort of loneliness or unhappiness. It can't even give you a mental everything-is-perfectly-fine out unless you remain willfully ignorant.

Lao Tzu can go gobble lit fireworks, the smug prick.

upload them on youtube you gay ass nigger

>get a clue
>seek sunlight
>hit the gym & lose weight
>take a shower
>pursue a career
>have sex

you'll feel alot better

what if i dont?

>was to poor back in my childhood to ever record shows
>if I missed it, it was gone unless I got lucky and caught a rerun
>Rewatching them online now but it's not the same
>can never recapture that childhood feeling

Joke's on you, I was just as angry, lonely, and miserable back then as I am now.

this

>what if i dont?

then you didn't get a clue

>you will never again watch Conan the Barbarian on VHS "late" at night in 1993 war-torn Dalmatia as a little boy in an actual village with no streetlights and actual nature on the old color SABA TV grandpa imported from Germany cca 1989. You will never again watch the sunrise slowly redden the peaks of Velebit, with your view unobstructed by shit-houses built for shit-tourists, and you will never again enjoy the natural rhythm of life that was swept away by americanized shit-people who bought in the bullshit Americans themselves now see as vapid and a false god.

Thus one becomes a traditionalist. But seriously, you cannot comprehend these feels. The US has changed, Europe has changed, Asia has changed - but nothing compares to the collosal decline Croatia underwent as its traitors and greedy fucks sacrificed it to the liberal/capitalist Moloch.

Memories remain, and show the path to the future.

You get it all wrong. You country was shit because your people are shit. That's why you had that pointless war in the fist place. Meanwhile in evil america almost everyone has a better life than your people.

we can go back if you guys want, but it'll take some work, if you guys are willing to put in that work, then let's get ready for a universal reset
all the old cartoons, forever

Stay in your containment board

Is that who Bruce Lee was quoting?

>Commercials and all
Check to see if you don't have any lost ones

>have sex
Um... you realize you're both posting on Sup Forums, right? Also:
>pursue a career
Depends on your country of citizenship, if you happen to be from an impoverished shithole you're probably fucked in this sense.

It's an /asp/ meme don't think too hard on it
I'm not sure why he felt the need to post it here, but hey ho kek

Yeah, he was really influenced by daoism. If you've got interest in Bruce Lee, read up on the Tao Te Ching and Chang Zu's "Wanderng on the Way". Or just read Bruce Lee, both are great.

Bump, where's those tapes, user?

On Sup Forums? I've never seen that.

Yeah. Every weekend on Sup Forums anons upload whatever tapes they have. If any of you anons have any tapes to share before Saturday, that'd be appreciated.

The aesthetics can be replicated.

But just for referencr, man, you ever think those serfs in the middle ages who for hundreds of years were just uneducated farmers toiling away in the same spot for sometimes hundreds of years with little in terms of entertainment, ever felt nostalgic? Maybe just cause of their childhood freedoms to not work as much, but back then the only aesthetic there was for miles around was vast lonely expanses of nature and ruined Roman roads and architecture.

You ever just think of that? Like man, imagine what it'd be like to have been a Roman citizen far away from Rome during the time of the fall, and slowly seeing everything crumble, and your kids grow up to see it crumble further, and eventually their kids would have never known anything better.

Doesn't that just break your heart? At least today we have records and stuff to look back at the times. Back then the only thing remaining were ruins and memories that slowly faded into nothing, with no way of truly showing your kin how it used to be.

One day we will reclaim our cultures. I just hope I can live long enough to see it.

>completely missing the metaphor and proving you don't fucking read
Water is what it is and by it's nature of being what it needs to be, it's not nihilism at all.

>slowly seeing everything crumble, and your kids grow up to see it crumble further, and eventually their kids would have never known anything better
haha, yeah, I'm sure no one feels that now as everything is recorded but the only things of cultural note is the further rot.

You ever notice that the people who seem to latch onto nostalgia the most are actually pepole who weren't around for it these days? Like, the whole 80s and 90s nostalgia seems to be coming from y2k kids who weren't old enough for either, yet find the aesthetic cool.

I'd say we're doing a good job of preserving what culture used to be, it's just that it was too little too late for anything truly ideal, as both the 80s and 90s were kind of shitty decades outside of media.

I was a kid in the 80's and even then it felt like things were falling apart and nothing new, it's just soulless imitation no one is having fun with.

It just started two weekends ago.

I will never understand nostalgiafaggotry for a channel that couldn't even last half a decade during the worst era of cartoons in history.

It was fun
