Chris Hemsworth looks to be one of the first and possibly only OG avenger to renew his contract. Beyond avengers 4 .
Sources say that after Thor 2 Hemsworth was seriously doubting his future in the mcu and at one point complained to Feige about being bored and said that if things don’t get shaken up for Thor 3 he walks. This was problematic for Feige since he has big plans for Thor in the next slat of films so he needed to make him happy and convince him to stay.
So enter Taika for Thor ragnarok. The original vision for Thor ragnarok was to be a winter soldier esq film.it would feature a dark edgy brooding war stricken Thor who would be the last line of defense against thanos.
However this was changed after Hemsworths complaints.
They basically let Hemsworth and Taika have few reign in ragnarok and in the end it rejuvenated hemsworths love for the character.
Over New Years Taika and Chris discussed potential ideas for Thor 4. Taika is expected to return.
Chris is looking to sign a new deal that would bring Thor to forefront of the mcu. Potential story line includes Thor becoming king of New Asgard and dealing with beta rey bill. There are talks about the guardians appearing in Thor 4 as well. James Gunn is also involved with the next Thor as the new head of the mcu cosmic universe.
Liam Hemsworth is also looking to join the mcu using his older as a door into the universe.
