True anthology kino coming up, will you be watching Inside No. 9 tonight? Apparently they're doing a reverse chronology episode this week.

I got into this after the league of gentlemen specials, went back and watched all of that and #9, looking forward to it.
Just watched Tom and Gerri last night, why did you give it a 6? I thought it was really good
There's nothing wrong with it, all the episodes are great, I just found that one the most lacking of S1. I could budge it to a 7/10 to be honest, it's still great, I just think the others outshine it.
Bump because it's airing in 10 mins
Putting the twist first, then telling the story is a brilliant idea
>True anthology kino coming up
It's genuinely the best anthology show on right now.
>That reminds me. I must get some sun dried tomatoes
kek
Is that the woman off Silent Witness?
Yes. Emilia Fox.
Foxy lady, always fancied her.
>Inside Number 9
>Actually took place inside number 6
What did they mean by this?
Also unironically kino
Great plot, great twist, great writing once again. Fuck I love these guys.
Either an 8 or a 9 for me. This series has been amazing so far. The BBC would be insane not to give them another series after this.
>The BBC would be insane not to give them another series after this.
If they didn't cancel it after the first, they're not going to any time soon. They seem determined to keep renewing it, despite viewing figures, which is a great thing.
Glad they have good judgement. Shearmisth and Pemberton don't seem to be running out of ideas either, unlike some anthologies running atm. Every episode is completely unique.
Didn't realise Sup Forums had Inside No. 9 threads.
Another great episode.
Just once a week when it's airing and it gets about 20 posts. Still, it's good to know people have good taste
I made a thread about it years ago and got no replies.
How things change.

We must've missed each other. I've been in UK sitcom/panel show threads promoting Inside No. 9 for years but it's only taking up now. I think the recent LoG specials got people interested in their work.
I'm semi-frequent on Sup Forums so that doesn't help either.
>I think the recent LoG specials got people interested in their work.
Was Psychoville for me thanks to a review by Welshy on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses many years ago
That's it for me. Watched TLoG when it first aired but didn't really get it, being 9 at the time. Then I rewatched the first series before the specials were on in December and loved it.
Went through all of TLoG and their stage shows as well as all of Inside No.9. Still haven't started Psychoville just yet though.
Planning on getting tickets for The League of Gentlemen Live later this year too.
I must've missed it as well. Been a fan of Pemberton and Shearsmith since I found a vhs recording of the first series that my parents had taken from the telly when I was about 8 or 9 years old and loved it. Then watched Psychoville as it came out even though I was around 11.
Have watched this since the start as well, although I was finally at the appropriate age of 15 with its debut.
Very good list, can't disagree with any really.
The only one I'd say could be lower was Diddle Diddle Dumpling. Hated how they tried to sell the 'twist' as something emotional and worthy of the build up
New episode is at least as good as bernie clifton
There are no BAD episodes of the show, and the rankings are decent but I'm surprised you're so generous to Last Gasp, I thought that was pretty weak
No bad episodes but Empty Orchestra is easily the weakest.
Interesting concept but didn't hit me as hard or make me laugh as much as Bernie Clifton.
There always seems to be one episode weaker than the rest in each series.
I find it hard to give anything under a 6 to the series. I'd say Diddle Diddle Dumpling was the least good one though, even though it was fine.
I loved Last Gasp. The dark atmosphere of everyone arguing about who owns the rights to sell the balloon, and then it becoming apparent that the celeb was still alive and they all decide to kill him for the money the balloon would give them was great. It's that atmosphere I love so much about No 9.
Atmosphere's a good way to put it. Similar to The Bill, there's no moralising at you which is pretty refreshing, it's just people in a situation
I really like how the only actors who appear more than once are Shearsmith & Pemberton themselves.
Added the latest episode.

Shaping up to be a great series. They usually leave the last one for a really dark/horror story so I wonder if it'll pay off, though I'm sure it will.
I thought Mark Benton was the voice of the interviewer in The Devil Of Christmas but the role's uncredited so I'm not sure it was definitely him.
I'm partial to Last Gasp too. It's the episode that made me laugh the hardest rivalled only by A Quiet Night In.
The cast is stellar each time, they get some big names now and then
You rate the bill as your lowest but I fucking love that episode. They made a couple of middle aged men squabbling over a bill captivating. That shit takes insane talent.
Ending's a bit shit though.
Zanzibar 8/10
Bernie Clifton's Dressing Room 9/10
Once Removed 8/10
So consistently good. Any weak episodes? Seance Time is my least favourite anyway
