The SONYverse isn't MCU

youtube.com/watch?v=IvR8oFYSlLQ

Just Amy being dumb huh?

How does she still have a job?

jew

>How does she still have a job?
She is trying to save her job, and that meant leeching off the MCU and damage Marvel in the process.

Technically, what she said isn't false. When she says "world WE'RE creating for peter parker" she means Sony.

When she says "They'll be connected as well," she means that all the Sonyverse movies are connected.

The reason she says Tom Holland has a chance to be Spider-Man in them is because one day the rights will revert back to Sony and if Tom Holland wants to join them, he is welcome to.

Amy did nothing wrong. Fuck the MCU. Give Spidey back to Sony.

In Hollywood you fail upwards

What else is new?

Piss off Avi

Literal retard.

That look of "This bitch is making shit up, but if I call her out on it, I'll spoil a really hard to negotiate deal" is amazing. I get that Sony will make a Spiderverse and this version of Spiderman is meant to fit in it, eventually. But it's just one Spiderman of two worlds. He'll do his early adventures in the MCU, then he'll BASICALLY be the same guy, who had SOMEWHAT similar adventures, who happens to never see, mention or recall Tony Stark once he's fighting Venom. It's basically like a run on a book, and you're excited that they have a good writer (Marvel Studios). You enjoy it while it last, but you hear he's getting replaced by a less reliable writer after this arc (Sony). It's still sorta the same, continuing story, but you know both writers have different priorities and styles. You have to chose to hop off or stay on, but it'll be different either way.

Because of the email leaks, she got demoted to a higher position.

Good analogy except the replacement writer starts releasing a spinoff comic before the marvel writer's run is even over because he knows that the marvel writer's run will have to end at some point.

Not being, IS dumb. Amy is a drugged fueled mess who cant even type coherently as seen in the leaked emails. Sony has been in the red for years and shes trying to earn more asses in seats by fooling casual moviegoers that its connected

Yeah, it's... pretty crazy. I mean, Sony is just making movies left and right and promising "Spiderman is going to drop into this world we're crafting after the Marvel stuff is over!" but, what if it turns out to be a good idea to extend the Marvel deal? Now they have all these spinoffs with no central character. How long can Venom and Black Cat play off eachother before people stop watching due to lack of Spiderman? If it's even possible for THIS Spiderman to be in both the Sonyverse and the MCU at the same time, will people just accept that the Avengers never help out no matter how big a problem Spiderman is having with the Sinister Six?

Maybe they can work out a deal sort of like how the Spider-Gwen universe works in comics. Once the rights revert back to Sony, he could go through a portal and just spend most of his time over at Sony, then whenever theres a big event happening over at the marvel movies and they decide to pay $ to use him, Spidey can just hop through the portal and help the avengers as a one time guest once in a while.

What gets me is Venom. In the MCU, Peter has been Spider-Man for about six months by the time of Civil War and is still in high school during Homecoming. So how the fuck does the Eddie Brock Venom fit into this?

Just buy the rights back in full, Marvel.

I don't even know what she was trying to say about these universes but it sounded retarded.

Maybe the Sony universe takes place in the future. AW FUCK IT. WHY ARE WE EVEN TRYING?...

We're probably putting more effort into having it make sense than Sony will.

>buy the rights back in full
Sony wants 5 billion dollars for that.

This back-and-forth is no longer amusing. End it.

Sony also wants megahits that aren't Spider-Man.

They should just bite the bullet.

Sony is like fucking North Korea.
Here they have the chance to make some money and save everything but they're acting like they're still going to do it all by themselves. Just like North Korea and China, with Marvel being China. Why are they antagonizing the only company willing to help them much less thinking they are going to win any sort of war against the larger foe.
They want to do one Spider-Man movie and then go off and do their own thing again.
In one of the leaked emails they were talking about selling the rights of Spider-Man alone for 5 Billion. 5 billion for one character that they can't do anything good with.
I hope they go under.

Fucking parasite piggybacking off the MCU

HAAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAAAHAHAAHAHAHAHA

Kevin Feige is a pretty cool fuck.

And they're the same people who said something like
>Tobey and Andrew together = a billion in profits
I'm still in disbelief that this company has held itself together for so long.

She's Sony, not Marvel.

Are you a retard? Amy can't even write properly, not to mention her fanfic about female Ghosbusters became a wrolds biggest drama.

>sony-man

Kevin doesn't deserve this bullshit

Assuming Feige is right and Venom is strictly a Sony thing - there's gotta be legal repercussions for just saying your movie is in the MCU when it isn't, right?

Or we gonna have Fox claiming they're in the MCU now too?

>Or we gonna have Fox claiming they're in the MCU now too?

The closest that happened was when Millar (who got hired as a consultant for Fox) was saying that he wanted the Fox films to complement the MCU stuff and the Sony stuff. I think that may have rustled some people at studios.

Kevin intentionally worked with these idiots. What was he expecting?

This is like working with someone, who you know is terrible, has no good work ethic and will latch onto you to make themselves feel better. At a certain point, who's the dumb one, the guy that's actually a fool and everyone knows it, or the person that Still worked with them in spite of ithat?

sounds like it'll be an agents of shield situation where the canon is a one way street rather than mutual

It says a lot more about how Sony views a shared universe. Instead of having say, Spider-Man 2 do the black suit arc, they're just going "Okay, Venom is happening next year, then Black Cat and Silver Sable". It's like the people who are asking where Kamala Khan is in the MCU when we haven't even had Carol yet, or the people who obsessively post about why the Young Avengers aren't in the MCU yet when Scarlet Witch is nowhere near preggers.

>if you make a public statement saying Pascal misspoke and that Venom is not in the MCU, Sony will get butt-pissed and grab Peter and walk out the door the first chance they get

>if you let it pass, the MCU fans will get pissed off somewhere down the line when they find out Venom was NOT in the shared universe

Amy Pascal was a mistake

>>Two comic book movie news channels love this news.
>>One says that half the Venom film will be about the suit on Spider-Man and then transfer to Venom, and that the film takes place in the future.

How retarded are Spider-Man fans?

I heard one clickbait rumor-mongering article implying that Tom Holland's Spider-Man would get the symbiote/black suit during Avengers: Infinity War when he goes to space, and then this leads into Sony's Venom

This is like worse than the guys who thought Mads Mikkelsen was Doctor Doom

>They should just bite the bullet.
Spider-Man is a popular asset, but Disney isn't going to put out 5 billion for it. Remember that buying the ENTIRE Star Wars franchise was 4 billion

Unless Homecoming does like 1.5B in the box office, I just can't see them biting that bullet

>will people just accept that the Avengers never help out no matter how big a problem Spiderman is having with the Sinister Six
Never bothered anyone with comics, and I kind of hate that every other normie thinks they're being smart by going "where was Thor, huh?".

right?

She wants to cause fan confusion to ape even more off the MCU than this Villain Verse already is.

I can't wait for a Venom movie with no Spider-Man so we either get another movie with Venom looking wrong or an inexplicable spider motiff.

Amy is the real big bad of the MCU.

>I heard one clickbait rumor-mongering article implying that Tom Holland's Spider-Man would get the symbiote/black suit during Avengers: Infinity War when he goes to space, and then this leads into Sony's Venom

This has been going around a ton lately. Was just on a discord channel yesterday telling some dudes that this was bullshit and they just couldn't understand why.

Aside from that passing mention he did team up with Cap, Iron Fist, Firestar, Venom and probably someone else I'm forgetting in that arc.
Still plenty of occasions where they don't bother with Batmobile tyres shit like that and nobody's asking questions.

He's the hero we need.

>girls and ect
>ect

Dear lord.

you're thinking of maximum carnage, that's from Carnages origin. The point is, the other guys almost always have other, more "important" things going on. Even during Maximum Carnage the FF were out of town and the only Avengers were Cap and Firestar because the rest were off taking care of some other buisness

I'm agreeing with you though, those kinds of questions are retarded and by actually reading comics, or thinking for more than 2 seconds the people who ask them would have an answer

My mistake but yeah, we're in agreement.

Narcissist.

They always escape responsibility for fuck ups while leaving others to fix said fuck ups.

Amy is literally Bendis in movie form.

Amy is a narcissist IMHO and they dig their claws into you and are hard to get rid of due to passive aggressive bullshit.

Amy oozes passive aggressive behaviour.

She is more like a real life Erlich Bachman. She constantly fails, yet finds her way to sneak into some high profile deal and says insane shit anytime she is on camera.

They believe Spidey will be the main character in Infinity War so the absurdity of shoving that whole symbiote plot into Infinity War makes sense to them as to them everything revolves around Spiderman.

Yeah, I don't understand why people think Spider-Man is going to be any more than a glorified cameo, like he was in Civil War.

In the end, the Spider-Man spin-offs are going to be treated as being as canon to the MCU as "Agents of SHIELD", "Agent Carter", "The Inhumans", the Netflix shows, and any other TV show that claims to be a part of the MCU.

>Just Amy being dumb huh?

Feige's dick is strong.

>The good 'ol Marvel TV isn't canon meme

When will this die?

When Feige quits being a stubborn douchebag and puts Daredevil in a movie somewhere

It's canon on paper but not in practice

It's like the old Star Wars expanded universe. The movies are canon to the tv shows, but not necessarily vice versa and they're free to contradict them if they wish.

>demoted
>higher position

What the hell did I even just read?

Basically the movie executive version of how EA execs deal with franchises that they buy.

this was a good meme, glad it got reused

Do we need to bust out SUPER canon discussion?

>that double speak
Trump needs to hire this woman!
PASCAL FOR VICE PRESIDENT!!!

Amy literally could fuck the entire MCU due to Spiderman's prominence as an iconic character.

...

Maybe Feige needs a villain and now that Perlmutter is gone he has Amy. Maybe Amy has his movie rights that he grew up without. Maybe Feige is just old Spider-Man. Maybe Feige is really Peter Parker. Maybe Feige sees Amy as his Kingpin. Maybe Ike is Norman Osborne. Maybe Spider-Man is REAL!

The entire "Sony Spiderverse" is a smokescreen.
It's speculation but Sony proper may be trying to sell off Sony Pictures. In order to inflate their apparent value, they're making it look like they have big profits on the horizon, in the form of a shared universe. Big film execs, on average, are more like Amy Pascal than you'd think (e.g. Kevin Tsujihara). All they really know is that shared universes are popular and profitable, and will see it as a boost to Sony Pics' value.
Sony probably has no interest in following up on these past the sale of the studio. They'll never cross over or amount to anything, just like Amazing Spider-Man.

It's as canon as a shitty, obscure Marvel comic is.
Most C-lister books don't participate in crossovers, or they have crossovers among comparable characters. It doesn't make them "not canon" as long as there are no contradictions.

>Spidey cameos
>Gets the symbiote
>symbiote arc continues into Venom
Wow so hard.

>>symbiote arc continues into Venom

>implying Feige would help those Sonycucks out by laying the groundwork for their cinematic universe

Except for the whole bit where Feige flat out said that there are no plans for Venom in the MCU. I guarantee there won't be any symbiote scene in IW.

Think about it, Sony, the company, is a failure. Even when they manage to win out with their products, like Blu-ray, or PS4, they still nearly manage to kill themselves every-time. They WOULD'VE went under if the PS4 didn't succeed. They lost their giant Tokyo building fairly recently. They're the reason their movies keep tanking half the time.

5bil is the minimum they'd need to not tank their company without Spiderman, but lets be honest, they'd still manage to fuck that up. They're a company of incompetents who think they know better than they do, when it's clear they don't.

Sony still has the rights you dumb fuck. They were being nice allowing Spidey to be in the MCjew

That's the thing, half the time the Avengers are off doing something somewhere else, when they aren't they try to spare a memebr to help if they can, normally cap.

The guys Spidey deal with are pretty fucking scary though, Electro himself should probably be able to fight Thor if Thor decides to get stupid and zap him. I mean, Carnage himself is more than enough for most of the avengers, except Thor or Hulk since they're incredibly op.

Just let Disney buy Sony entirely for $5 billion. Imagine the success of PS4 when it'll be the exclusive console for Star Wars & Marvel games.

>Sony tries to sloppily pull off a Producers-style scam in order to trick Marvel into either paying $4 billion for the Spidey rights or establish their own Spidey-centric MCU for them
>To the point that they even got Tom Hardy to be fucking Eddie Brock
I don't know how much more my sides can take. Here's hoping Feige takes them to the fucking cleaners.

This lack of Spider-Man thing is really reminding me of the "Gotham" premise to which they eventually had their own version of Joker. It feels like a weird elseworlds where they'll try to make all these characters without being directly affected by Spider-man which is the opposite of what Suicide Squad did for their cast of villains.

She's retarded but based on the email leaks EVERYONE at Sony is retarded.

They even hired that one retard from Fox who kept the studio from making Deadpool and R-rated Wolverine films.

DCEU is fucked. Without WW's success I think JL would've been the end of it.

They shouldn't have cut a deal in the first place.

Just wait it out. Sony's making nothing but bad decisions and eventually the Japs are going to get pissed at these American fuckups and sell off the movie division. Marvel could get the rights back in a fire sale then.

wtf? I love Sony now!

Does Amy have any creative control over this film or is someone just asking for her feedback because they're addicted to listening to her say stupid shit?

Your inability to get jokes exposes your autism.

I don't know why the idiots above said something about her "failing up".

I'm pretty sure she was ousted from Sony and the only reason she is part of Spidey is because she injected herself into a producer role while negotiating.

I don't know what her creative control is but creative control doesn't exist anywhere. It's business and sales controlling "creative".

listening to her talk for more than a minute is irritating, my god.

WW was good enough to justify a Phase 2 (ie. a slate of movies after JL comes out).

After that... who knows. Justice League is probably gonna suck the big one and the only thing that isn't in development hell/suffering tons of problems is Aquaman. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they booted Snyder and handed everything over to Jenkins.

Basically for DCEU:
>Team movies = Bad
>Solo Movies = better chance to be decent

She injected herself like Titan serum.

>They even hired that one retard from Fox who kept the studio from making Deadpool and R-rated Wolverine films.
If I were Ryan Reynolds I would've just been wearing a T-shirt that says "I told you so" everytime he enters Fox office.

>I'd piss off the guy who was powerful enough to tell me to fuck myself for a decade
>I bet he'll be so enamored by my joke he wont fire me and cast Zac Effron as my replacement.
>I bet he really cares about what the fans want

Look, we all know Ryan has some clout now but lets be real. Money speaks and old dudes with money would rather tell you to shut the fuck up than admit they were wrong.

He'd laugh and say "i told you so" as he called security to have the actor escorted back to a set somewhere.

Yes, money speaks and Ryan Reynolds brought them 780 millions with 70 million budget and nice bonus of critical acclaim. X-men Apocalypse did fucking neither with a bigger budget.

this
that board exec fucked up bad. His reputation dropped probably quite a bit. Reynolds could get away with that, maybe not AT Fox but at talk shows

Basically for Marvel :
Guardians of the galaxy : Top tier
Everything else : garbage tier
Age of Shitron / Civil war : Non-sensical trash with plot holes as big as your mom.

Why couldn't Sony just start milking Emma Stone as Spider-Gwen while they wait for the MCU shit to finish?

I'd milk Emma Stone.

FOIVE BILLION DOLLARYDOOS!?
