>John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who penned "Spider-Man: Homecoming" for Marvel Studios, have been tapped by Warner Bros Pictures to write and direct FLASH: FLASHPOINT. Seth Grahame-Smith ("Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter") and Rick Famuyiwa ("Dope") were previously set to direct, but both dropped out due to creative conflicts with the studio, while the script has gone through numerous rewrites. Sam Raimi, Marc Webb, Matthew Vaughn, Robert Zemeckis and Ben Affleck were previously approached, but all turned down the project.
>FLASH: FLASHPOINT is set to star Ezra Miller as young speedster Barry Allen, who uses his powers to travel back in time and prevent his mother's murder, accidentally creating a dystopian alternative timeline where the Justice League was never formed and the world is on the verge of destruction due to a war between Themyscira and Atlantis.
>Gal Gadot is slated to reprise her role as Wonder Woman, while Kiersey Clemons and Billy Crudup are set for Barry's girlfriend Iris West and his father, Henry Allen. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is reportedly in talks to play Thomas Wayne, who becomes Batman in the Flashpoint timeline after his son Bruce is murdered in a robbery gone wrong.
>FLASH: FLASHPOINT will reportedly also feature Ben Affleck's last appearance as Bruce Wayne / Batman in the DCEU ahead of an impending recast.
Fucking nice. I was hoping we'd get Flashpoint Batman out of JDM.
Asher Robinson
(((Ezra Miller))) Jew, gay & obnoxious, the complete package!
Ian King
Should have gotten Snyder
Easton Hughes
I already know what this movie is going to be about. It's going to be exactly like Spider-Man Homecoming where our hero has to learn about responsibility and shit from an elder.
Adam Taylor
Sounds cool but a Sam Raimi Flash movie would have been so freaking good.
Matthew Price
will also star Tony Stark
Carson Long
>FLASH: FLASHPOINT
already confirmed flop
Levi Reyes
>They'll use Flashpoint as the excuse to use another actor for Batman
Jaxon Scott
They easily have about 5+ movies if they stick to that CW show, the story is already wrote so it's easy.
Jason Nguyen
>Sam Raimi Flash Flash using the ϟϟpeedforce to go back in time and prevent Hitler from losing would be a good movie indeed
Benjamin Miller
I really have to hand it to WB, some people would reboot a franchise by recasting the parts and starting over, but not them.. They're rebooting by filming a sequel that sets up the reboot with the same cast in the same universe that they already decided not to stick with.
So basically, a wasted development cycle to make a movie nobody wants which can only confuse audiences and kill enthusiasm for the reboots by associating it with the failed original version. Surely this will be a huge success.
Henry Lewis
They can't completely reboot because Wonder Woman was such a success. This way, they could write it so that the events of the Wonder Woman movies still happen.
Isaiah Allen
You just don't understand it. Do you really need someone to spell it out for you?
Carson Lee
are people really stupid? do they think its a "reboot" or just "flash tries to save his mom from Zoom but change history and everything is bad"
its not a fucking reboot like in the comics.
Nathan Wilson
Sure they will.
Isaiah Murphy
>but not them >Arrowverse >Nolanverse
Carter Jenkins
>will feature Ben Afflecks last role as Batman before a recast >not like the comics
Nathaniel Martinez
jeez, i hope we don't get to play a 2 hours videogame cutscene again
Ethan Adams
Hire 2 average comedy directors. WB really wanna be marvel huh
Elijah Kelly
desu, we will have 3 batmen in the same movie: Ben, Jeffrey and Jake, which i assume will represent a young Bruce, therefore the falshpoint will turn everybody 10 years younger. Good luck with that cast mess, WB
Luis Edwards
its like nonenof u idiots saw the FLASHBERG in JL
the actor is utter cringe they turned flash into egon spengler or whatever that autistic nerd from GB mixed with rick moranis and always has to mention MUH JEW IMA JEW BY THE WAY MY HERITAGE
Charles Collins
you forgot the: IMMA SEXY YOUNG JEW
Jordan Torres
Barry Allen is supposed to be a cheeky nerd, they just adapted his nerdyness to the modern day.
Jonathan King
but he isn't the comedy relief of the league, that was Wally's personallity. Barry is more of a "nice guy" kind of character, even the current version of him
Caleb Clark
>I really have to hand it to WB, some people would reboot a franchise by recasting the parts and starting over, but not them.. They're rebooting by filming a sequel that sets up the reboot with the same cast in the same universe that they already decided not to stick with. X-men
