I wonder how much Disney are terrified of DCEU being competition for them? There's clearly some sort of sabotage going on, maybe to gain the property rights several decades down the line after WB are giving up but I find it odd that the only things related to DC are making a success at the cinema are the movies aimed for younger audiences like Lego Batman.

Considering Disney has a MASSIVE headstart and just got their hands on what was their biggest competition (X-Men) I doubt they're all that worried.
Hemsworth and Taika wanting to make more Thor is also a big bonus.

That's because Lego Batman is actually funny (That's not to say that's how a good superhero film should be mind you). Man of Steel had potential, but it was squandered due to the infamous scenes of the movie. There were glimpses of a good "Superman learning what it means to be truly human" story, but it was overshadowed by the stupid shit. Same with every other DCEU movie except Suicide Squad, that was killed almost day 1.
